Title [4.1] Jesus For Me
Contents
(Isaiah 53:4-6)
“Surely he bore our afflictions and bore our sorrows, but we thought that he was chastised, struck by God, and afflicted; he was pierced for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities. With his discipline we have peace, and with his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of our company.” Isaiah 53: 4-6>
Think of the sufferings of Jesus on the cross. We are terrified to see the people who lashed out at Jesus, the soldiers who brutally wounded Jesus, and the disciple Judas, who betrayed Jesus and betrayed Jesus, who confessed that Jesus was my Lord. I feel anger and betrayal. But they were not the only ones who caused Jesus suffering.
The one without sin All people except Jesus. Because of you and me, Jesus suffered great suffering. My sin, unbelief, hatred, and curse turned into a whip and struck Jesus, but Jesus endured the pain silently and bore the pain and cross that we had to bear.
This is the love of Jesus. In front of this love of Jesus, we can see how shameful it was to say that we had forgiven others and to have thought that we loved our neighbor this much. In this way, we are at a loss for words in the face of Jesus' love, forgiveness, and sacrifice. We must admit and realize that we are sinners. Only then will we be able to see the cross of Jesus Christ with the eyes of faith.
So, what have we gained as a result of Jesus dying on the cross for us? In verse 5 of the text, “By his discipline we found peace, and by his wounds we are healed.”
When we were outside Jesus Christ, we were enemies with God because of our transgressions and sins, but our sins were forgiven through the sufferings of Jesus on the cross. And now, in Jesus Christ, we have become children of God, loved and lived in peace with God.
We? Jesus, who died on the cross and poured out all his water and blood, is a very good friend to you. Although the world may change and deceive you, Jesus, your friend, is the true Lord who neither changes nor deceives. To such a Jesus, we must open our hearts wide and receive His love to our heart's content. Because only Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life that leads us to God.
I pray in the name of the Lord that you will live a victorious life through Jesus.
