Title: Jesus Gives Hope

Contents

You are listening to Jeju Far East Broadcasting, the most precious broadcast in the world.

I bless you listeners in the name of Jesus, who is the most fashionable person in the world.

Today, I read Luke 7:11-16 as the main text.

I will speak under the title of Jesus who gives hope.

I will read the text of the text.

After that, Jesus went to a city called Nain.

The disciple and a great crowd accompanied him.

As he approached the gates, people came out carrying a dead man.

This is her mother's only child, and her mother is a widow.

Many people from the city also went out with him.

When the Lord saw the widow, he had compassion on her, and said, “Do not weep.”

When he came near, he touched the coffin, and the bearers stood.

Jesus said to him, Young man, I say to you, get up.

The dead man sat up and talked, and Jesus gave him to his mother.

All feared, and glorified God, saying,

A great prophet has risen among us

And it is said that God has taken care of his people - Amen-

According to statistics from related organizations, there are currently about 35 people a day in Korea.

He is said to be suicidal. This number is truly a staggering number.

If 35 people a day sign up for our church

If you think about it, migration will be easy to understand.

So, what do many people who choose to commit suicide have in common?

Perhaps in the environment you are in right now.

Perhaps it was because they thought there was no such thing as hope.

It is very important that there is hope for a brighter future.

Those who have hope can overcome today's difficulties,

Those who have no hope and only despair cannot overcome today's reality.

Anyone who has served in the military knows this.

Even if life in the military is considered difficult and difficult and exhausting

We can overcome those difficulties because we have the hope of 'the war'.

Today's text tells the story of a woman who lost hope.

This woman is without a husband

He was living with his only son.

But then the son died. - How heartbroken it must have been.

The dead son was perhaps the widow's only hope, after she had lost her husband.

But he died.

Because it was rare for a healthy young man to die.

When Jesus brought him back to life, he did not call him by name like Lazarus.

He just told me to get up, young man.

How frustrated and hopeless it must have been for a mother.

The widow, who lost her only child, lost hope in life and was on her way to bury her son.

He was going to Nain with his disciples and a large crowd.

I met Jesus.

However, Jesus, who was watching the funeral procession, raised his son to life.

You don't know how amazing it is.

Raising the dead is a great thing in itself.

But we can find something special in this amazing event.

First, the woman didn't even ask to spare her son.

that you saved me.

Up until now, Jesus has said that most people have come to Him for healing or

When they asked for exorcism or anything else, he met their needs.

Or, at the very least, when I was chasing you, he fixed it.

But this woman didn't do that at all.

They didn't go to Jesus, they didn't cry out for help.

Nevertheless, Jesus unilaterally raised his dead son back to life.

In this image, we see that Jesus

You can see that he enjoys giving hope to desperate people.

We don't ask and rescue the drowning man.

It's like being rescued unconditionally.

Dear listeners who love God!

Are you in a desperate situation right now?

Is hope disappearing and the front and back are dark, and the top and bottom are blocked?

Do you not even have the will to pray or the spiritual will to read the Word?

Do not worry.

Jesus, who loves to give us hope,

They will surely help you. It will give you unexpected hope.

The second took pity on the woman in despair.

Look at verse 13

When the Lord saw the widow, He had compassion on her and told her not to weep.

This shows how much love Jesus has.

Because she is a useless widow who has no husband and has her one and only son dead.

The Lord could have turned away, but he had pity on him.

Dear listeners who long for the Word of God!

Perhaps, like the widow in the text, there are only tears, sighs, and despair among you.

Anyone in a situation?

Don't be discouraged and have courage.

Let go of your sighs and look to the Lord.

Expect Jesus to wipe away your tears and have compassion on us.

Jesus, who is merciful and merciful, has compassion

They will surely help you.

Last week I was in Tanzania, Africa.

I met local church members who did not despair in the difficult reality.

They wanted to get a kindergarten permit for local evangelism.

If you run a kindergarten, even children can evangelize.

Because parents could evangelize, the kindergarten was very much needed.

However, the permit could only be issued if the toilet building was a separate building.

However, it was difficult because I did not have enough money to build a small church building to be used as a classroom.

I never even thought of building a bathroom.

However, the members did not despair and said that they would do it to the best of their ability.

We dug a large puddle that could be used as a septic tank.

The ground that has not been rained for a long time has become hard

It was dug 7 meters high with a pickaxe.

Don't be disappointed even in a desperate situation

An elder who was impressed by what they did

By donating several million won to build a bathroom on the spot.

You turned their despair into hope.

Dear listeners who love God!

By any chance, aren't you in a position of disappointment right now?

Are you discouraged because it is considered too difficult to live your life of faith?

Aren't you frustrated because of your experience of believing in Jesus?

Or, like the widow in the text, despairing because of the disappearance of human hope.

Are you not there?

Have courage in Jesus.

Hope in Jesus.

Please stand up from where you are sitting in Jesus.

We believe in Jesus who turns despair into hope.

He is the One who gives hope to those who are in despair even by raising the dead.

Today, all the listeners who believe in this Jesus and start a new life

I bless you in the name of Jesus who hopes to be you.-Amen-
