Title: Jesus Healing
Contents
The content of the text is John 5:2-9,14-15
Jesus is the savior. You are a healer. Most Christians know that they must believe in Jesus as their Savior to have eternal life. However, it is often dubious that Jesus is the healer. For reference, 82% of Americans believe that Jesus is the healer. Just as Jesus saved us by giving us eternal life and giving us more abundantly, so Jesus was whipped for our sickness so that we might be healed. Through today's message, I pray that all the families of the Shepherd Church will have a blessed history of becoming healthier.
The prophets of the Old Testament made numerous prophecies about the coming of the Messiah. Among them, Isaiah Seonjia is one of the prophets who clearly prophesied about what the Messiah would do when he came to this earth. The prophet Isaiah was active as a prophet for about 59 years before the 7th century before Jesus came, and he prophesied about what the Messiah would do when he came to this world. Isaiah 53:3 “He was pierced for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.” 700 years after the prophecy of Isaiah After this, the author of the Gospel of Matthew, who saw Jesus coming and healing many people, quoted Isaiah 53 in Matthew 8:17, saying, “He Himself took our infirmities and carried our diseases so that it might be fulfilled.” I am proving
Then why did the sick people come to this place? Verse 4 says, “Sometimes angels come down into the lake to move the water, and whoever enters first after it has moved will be healed of whatever disease he has.” Passing by, Jesus saw a 38-year-old man. The Lord said, seeing that the disease is old even at a glance. “Do you want to get better?” “Yes, but there is no one to put me in the water when the water is stirred.” Verse 8 “Take up your bed and walk” Verse 9 “Soon the man got well, and picked up his bed and walked” Hallelujah! he walked After some time, I met Jesus again. Then Jesus said, Verse 14, “Behold, you are well; sin no more, so that nothing worse happens.” Here we can see that sickness and sin are not mutually exclusive. In the Bible, there are several records of how sickness works (occurs) on people.
(1) In case of sin (Matthew 9:2, John 5:14, James 5:15-16) In this case, repentance and prayer are necessary. Sins are forgiven only when there is repentance, and when they are forgiven, the disease goes away.
(2) The case for the work of God (John 9:3) Blind from birth - “so that the works of God may be revealed in him”
(3) In the case of heredity - It is the case that comes from the constitution, inclination, body type, etc. of the ancestor (parent). Children resemble their parents. They look alike, but also spiritually. ① The history of ghosts descending from ancestors (parents) - When a child suffers from a disease that the parents suffered, hereditary (opposite of a learning shaman) In the case of a shaman ② Overwork, overeating, and excessive greed - In severe cases, there are cases where ghosts work . You need to take a break and rest. ③ Blood - You must control it. Ephesians 4:26 “Even if you are angry, do not let the sun go down on your anger.” ④ Hate (smite) - If you harbor resentment, it will not be resolved. Even if you give a congratulatory message, unclean spirits do not leave easily. Even if you chase it hard, it will come back. In the name of the Lord (Matthew 7:22, Mark 16:17), by the power of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 12:28), laying on hands (Luke 4:40), the Word (Matthew 8:16), and prayer (Mark 9:29). We must be filled with the Holy Spirit. We must live a holy life through prayer and the Word. Instead of hatred, resentment, and greed, we must look to Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.
Just as souls are saved through Jesus Christ, I pray that you will receive health through Jesus Christ.
