Title: Jesus in the Tomb "Jesus...

When Jesus came into the world, he lived a life that thoroughly descended to a lower place and then he died. First of all, Jesus was born in the lowest place. You were born in a stable while traveling. This is a breakthrough. It is perhaps a natural idea that the wise men from the East visited Herod's palace.
Jesus was born into a family of the poorest carpenters of that time. The carpenter Joseph's family is a very poor family with nothing to offer. Jesus chose such a family to come into this world. These are passages that hint at what Jesus will do in the future, what kind of life he will live and what kind of work he will do.
He went down to the Jordan River and was baptized. The Son of God would be fine without being baptized. Nevertheless, Jesus went down to the Jordan River just like any other person and was baptized by John the Baptist. Many people now think that baptism is a form of baptism, but you should know that Jesus himself went down to the Jordan River to be baptized. It means that Jesus went down to the low places.
He chose Galilee as the base of his public ministry. It was a place where people who were left behind in that society at that time lived together. So wherever Jesus went, all kinds of sick, demon-possessed and hungry people gathered. His ministry was also to heal the sick, find the lost, and find the marginalized.
Jesus also died in a very low place. Jesus died on the cross. The cross was the place where the lowest people of that time died. And even that death died in the most desperate way. He was crucified at 9 a.m. and died at 3 p.m. So, on the cross, Jesus shed all his blood and body fluids in pain for 6 hours and ended his life with a single word, “It is finished.”
Jesus is buried in the tomb, just like all humans. The Creator was judged, killed, and buried by the creatures. Even borrowing someone else's grave. That would be the pinnacle of descending to a lower place. Jesus was buried on Friday evening, spent Saturday in the tomb, and resurrected on Sunday morning.
The grave is a necessary process to be resurrected. The tomb is a place to stay for a while. To the resurrected person, the grave is of little importance.
But the world cares about the grave. The tomb, located on a sunny hillside, is considered a good place for people to live forever, so it is prepared. If human beings were to be buried in the earth forever, what would that place be, no matter how famous it was? However, those who do not have faith in the resurrection are living their lives preoccupied with this useless work. Even more worrisome is that they care too much about the shroud worn in the tomb. The price of Namnyukpo hemp water produced in Namnuk is 15 million won, Andongpo is 20 million won, and Gangwon-do is 25 million won. These expensive shrouds are said to be mostly used by high-ranking government officials and businessmen. But these days, even a 100 million won shroud sprinkled with golden powder has appeared in Andongpo. It is said that as time passes, the ashes turn golden. Not all my minds. These are all ridiculous ideas that appear in people who live apart from the resurrection faith. Such people do not know that Jesus stayed in the tomb for a while and was resurrected.
A grave is a place to stay for a while. No one is as unhappy as a human being if it were to be there forever. In an age without resurrection, or a person without resurrection, we cannot help but be interested in the grave where we will be buried. Because that's what life is all about. Even among Christians, there are those who are very interested in the grave. After death, there is a lot of interest in funerals. It's really in vain. It is a very strange idea and interest.
As soon as Jesus died on the cross, He resurrected and ascended to heaven, but He was buried for a while in a tomb that all humans pass through because it is to show us the resurrection. The grave was shown to be a place through which to be resurrected. And he showed us that the tomb is not a place for eternity, but a place to stay for a while. So Jesus was buried in a tomb. Because he was buried in a tomb, the Lord was resurrected as He said. Jesus chose the lowest place even to death.
To that low place, this is the ideal of our Christian life.
