Title: Jesus is our hope

Contents

▒▒▒ Luke 1:46~55

Today's text is the Hymn of Mary. I hope it will be a time to realize why Jesus is our hope through this text. Mary sings, "I delight in and glorify the Lord God, and I have made a lowly woman into a blessed woman forever." God chose a lowly woman, and through her she gave birth to Jesus Christ, and made her to become a blessed woman as the mother of Jesus. Jesus, who was preaching the kingdom of God, ate with the publicans and sinners of that time. At that time, they were abandoned by people, and they lived like hopeless people. But Jesus became a living hope for them and gave them the blessing of becoming a noble person. Not only that, he visited a 38-year-old sick man whom no one cared about, healed him and gave him new hope. Guys, who is our hope? Who can say that we who are lowly are blessed? There is only Jesus.

In verses 54 to 55 of the text, it says, “He will fulfill all the promises made to his ancestors.” God is sure to fulfill what He has promised. In the Gospel of John, as soon as Jesus saw Simon Peter, he said, “Simon, you are going to become Cephas. I will be Peter.” Through the Gospels, we can see how Simon the fisherman is a fisherman, Simon who has a quick temper, the Church of God is built on them and many souls are saved through it. The reason Jesus is our hope is because He is the One who makes our wishes come true. “Bethlehem Ephrathah, you are the smallest among the towns of Judea.” But the prophet Micah's prophecy, “Out of you will come a ruler,” is fulfilled through Jesus.

Dear brothers and sisters, Jesus is our hope. No matter what anyone says, Jesus is our hope. It is Jesus Christ who will change, bless, and honor our lives. But what is important to you all is that he will scatter the proud in heart and show mercy and exalt those who fear God. A proud heart is a person who does not need the Lord. In the Lord's place, one's own material or health can take place. His hope is that he is nothing more than a talent. God says he scatters those people.

Christmas 2008 is coming. In the name of the Lord, I pray in the name of the Lord that your wishes will come true in the year 2008, just as you hope for Jesus and have Jesus to make your life a noble life, and a lowly woman is blessed and praised in all ages.
