Jesus is resurrected.
John 11:25,26
After being captured by Roman soldiers for betrayal by Judas Iscariot, Jesus was taken to Pontius Pilate, who was governor of Israel at the time.
People cried.
“Crucify Jesus” “Crucify Jesus”
Worried that there might be a demonstration, Pilate finally washed his hands in a basin, saying that he had nothing to do with him, and handed Jesus over to the Jews.
“Scourge Jesus to be crucified”
At Pilate's command, the Romans took Jesus, stripped him of his clothes, and clothed him in scarlet. Jesus was crucified by Roman soldiers on a hill called Golgotha without any sin. The crucifixion of Jesus on the cross was accomplished according to God's plan to restore us, who had no choice but to die because of Adam's sin, with God.
Jesus, the Son of God, did this most humiliating thing to be put to death on the cross only to forgive me and your sins. It was so painful that Jesus cried out aloud. “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”
Finally, Jesus
After saying the last words, “It is finished,” Jesus died on the cross.
When the Roman soldier confirmed that Jesus was dead, he approached Jesus and pierced his side with a spear, pouring out all the blood and water.
When Jesus died, earthquakes appeared and darkened all over the earth, and we mourned the death of Jesus, the Son of God. Seeing this scene, people even confessed that Jesus was the Son of God.
Jesus' body was buried in the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea.
This tomb was secured by Roman soldiers. I was afraid that he would steal the body of Jesus and that he was alive, so I did not sleep and kept it strictly. Two days of Friday and Saturday passed without incident. Finally, the dawn of Sunday came when Jesus prophesied that he would rise again. The soldiers were more diligent in guarding the tomb.
Finally, at dawn on the third day, suddenly, a great earthquake began to occur around the tomb. The whole earth moved, and an angel came down from heaven and pushed the locked stone door away. An angel came down from heaven and sat on the stone that had been pushed out. This angel's appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were dazzlingly white.
Then the angel said to Mary Magdalene and another Mary who had come to anoint the body of Jesus. “Do not be afraid, I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here. And as He said, He rose again. And he will go before you to Galilee, and there you will see Jesus.”
The women were afraid, but when they heard that Jesus had risen, they hurried back. But right then, the risen Jesus appeared to the women and said, “Is everyone okay?”
When the women heard this, they fell down at Jesus' feet and worshiped him.
Jesus continued to speak.
“Do not be afraid, go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there you will find me.”
When the disciples heard this, they ran to a mountain in Galilee that they had promised with Jesus. And they worshiped at the feet of the risen Jesus. However, the appearance of Jesus was so perfect that some people did not recognize the face of the resurrected Jesus.
Jesus said to his disciples.
“Go and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. I will always be with you until the end of the world.”
Jesus, who died on the cross, overcame the authority of death and rose from the dead, showing that all who believe in Jesus will be resurrected and enter into eternal glory. Therefore, those of us who believe in Jesus must believe in Jesus' promise that He will be with us to the end of the world and become people of faith who share the risen Jesus with others more.
