Jesus is risen! / Mark 16:1-11

With the new spring of 2001, the morning of the Lord's resurrection came again. Whenever we face this day, we are reminded of the dawn of the first resurrection on Calvary long ago, and we cannot help but think of the marvelous things that happened that day.

Just as a new sprout sprouts when spring comes after winter, Jesus disappeared as a drop of dew from that hill of despair and sorrow. Three days later, Jesus kicked off the tomb door that had been locked in silence, broke the authority of death, and greeted the dawn of resurrection. Jesus thought as a painful existence as a thorn in his eyes, and in the blink of an eye, the priests and scribes who slew him cleanly without any fuss or chaos, and sang the joy of victory, were only momentary. You can't tell how much the disappointment of the disciples and the multitude of people who followed Jesus was great when they saw Jesus dying on the cross, saying, "Father, into your hands I commit my soul." The hope of the disciples who looked at the cross, hoping that he would come down from the cross with the power that saved Lazarus and the son of the widow of Nain, was also in vain.

When they crucified Jesus, they took Jesus' body from the cross, placed it in a tomb, and sealed the tomb with a large stone, reassuring that it was all over. Intoxicated with victory, the priests and scribes were able to sleep peacefully with their legs stretched out for at least one night. Jesus, who was troublesome like a thorn in his eyes, his arrogant teachings, his popularity, his miraculous wonders, and his dignified majesty have now disappeared. But everyone! After Jesus died on the cross, He was imprisoned in a tomb forever, so that He could not rot into a body. The reassurance the priests and scribes had was not genuine. Their sweet dream was shattered in less than 24 hours. At the dawn of the first Sunday of the seven days, I was confronted with a strange and surprising fact that occurred for the first time in the history of mankind.

Jesus' entourage stole Jesus' body and falsely propagated that he was resurrected, so a Roman soldier was even sent to guard the tomb. The large stone that sealed the tomb door rolled on its own, opened the tomb door, and witnessed the body of Jesus coming out of it. It was an undeniable fact.

In response to this startling and terrifying report, the priest urged the soldiers to bribe theft so that this fact would not be spread and spread the word. However, I thought it would be over if the body had been stolen, but the body turned into a living person, and at first appeared to Mary Magdalene, to the two disciples of Emmaus, 11 disciples, 500 children, Peter, James, and Paul, who was not fully pregnant, and kept appearing over and over again to greet him and teach him. As He continued His work by sharing food and catching a lot of fish, no matter how clever they tried to deny the resurrection of the Lord, it could not be effective.

At dawn on a Sunday morning, two weak women prepared spices for the corpse and went through the dew of the dark dawn to find the grave to give the final service. Heavy steps of disappointment and sorrow turned into joy when they finally came to the tomb. Because the heavy stone blocking the door of the tomb was moved by itself.

Everyone! Trust that God will take care of the heavy stones of anxiety, nervousness, failure, frustration, despair, and disease that scare your heart, just as this great stone was rolled from the grave at the dawn of the first resurrection. Another surprising fact is that the body of Jesus, which should have been there, was nowhere to be found, and there was an angel instead, saying, "Don't be surprised, he has risen again."

"He bought it again"

Everyone! This one-word declaration was the greatest and most solemn declaration in human history. With this word, Christianity was created, and with this word, the history of Christianity for 2,000 years was accomplished, and with this word, we who were dead in our sins were brought back to life. The great resurrection of our Lord, this good news that must be made known to all the world is definitely the gospel. Everyone! We are not believers in the buried Jesus, but believers in the risen Christ. Therefore, we have to turn the direction of our lives by turning darkness into light, and despair into hope.

At this time, let's all become believers in the Lord of the Resurrection. Amen
