Sermons for Preaching

Title: Jesus of Emmanuel / Matthew 1:22,23

Cantata is a term derived from the Italian word cantare for singing.

It is a form of vocal music popular in the Baroque era from the early 17th to the mid-18th century, and is a genre of music composed of several vocal pieces such as solo, ensemble, and chorus with instrumental accompaniment.

There are sonatas for instrumental pieces and cantatas for vocal pieces.

The greatest development in Germany in the 18th century, Bach is a representative composer.

There are mainly Easter cantatas and Christmas cantatas. Since it consists of several songs, it requires a lot of practice and a technical problem of harmonizing the songs. So, I go there occasionally and on the internet, etc. I am the conductor of any church, and I am going to do a cantata this Christmas, but I have prepared some songs in order, but I am worried because I cannot decide on the 5th and 6th songs. You see the ad that says, Help me quickly.

That's why it's being sung a lot in the church, and it requires skills to arrange and synthesize several songs according to a big theme.

The same is true for listeners. Since several songs are being sung at the same time, it is not without a feeling of boredom, but it will be very helpful if you listen to the song while thinking about themes such as Christmas or Easter.

Furthermore, we can see that the great strength of the cantata is that it can glorify God comprehensively through these songs.

What I want to say in particular at this time is the fact that the choir's hard work in preparing for this order was great.

I am deeply grateful for the hard work of the conductor, accompanist, and choir members, and thank you for giving God great glory through today's cantata.

A special infant baptism was held today.

I was also an infant baptist.

Infant baptism is the strength and characteristic of our Protestantism.

It has its origins in Abraham.

And as a biblical evidence, it refers to Jesus' children's blessing.

Infant baptists are not yet able to make a profession of faith because they are still young. Then how can you give a ceremonial rite? Instead, they hear and give their confession of faith from their parents. Therefore, parents have a responsibility to nurture this child well until he becomes an adult, confesses his/her faith and enters the school.

Today's text tells what kind of person Jesus is who came to this earth.

1. Son of Man: I will give birth to a son

Because he was a perfect human who came to this earth, he suffered great pain and suffering.

If only they had a divine appearance, not a human, what would it be like a manger, what about the wilderness, and what about the Egyptians?

2. Savior: Name Jesus

Jesus: Greek. Exactly, Iesus.

In Hebrew it is Joshua, which means God is the Savior.

Jesus is our savior.

The savior of the soul, the savior of life, the savior,

3. God with us: Immanuel, which is translated as God with us.

Lim: Together, Manu: Us, L: God

God is holy, but He is with me, who is lowly, lowly, and humble.

This is the life of Christianity and is the greatest characteristic of the God we believe in.

Chrismus: This is the Christ Mass.

It is a time to worship and celebrate Christ, to honor and worship Him.

And Christmas should be an opportunity and opportunity for God to be with me.

And I hope that we will testify of this and become Immanuel with others.
