Title: Jesus! Resurrected.
Contents
Today is Easter, which commemorates the day Jesus was resurrected. Let us praise and give thanks to the Lord with all our body, mind, and devotion.
"Iesus anastasis" - "Jesus is risen".
Resurrection (“ γαστασι ” anatasis) means to be resurrected or to be resurrected, but there is only one person who has been resurrected in heaven and is Jesus Christ. Therefore, only Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. The core of the gospel of the early church was that ① Jesus was the Son of God, ② Jesus was the Savior, and he was resurrected. Christianity is the religion of resurrection, and resurrection is the absolute hope and hope.
Resurrection means to live again, but to live in a spiritual body.
The Apostle Paul said, “It is sown in corruption, it is raised incorruptibility, it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory, it is sown in weakness, it is raised in strength; it is sown in a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a spiritual body (1 Corinthians 15:42-44).” The spiritual body is a body that does not get sick, a body that does not die, a body that does not go hungry, a body that does not work hard, and a body that is not particularly limited by time and space. The resurrected Jesus, the resurrected Jesus with a spiritual body, was not limited.
Jesus' resurrection
1. It is the resurrection of victory.
“For the Son of God appeared to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8).” The devil is the one who has the power of death. It testifies, “Jesus is of flesh and blood, that through death he who took over the power of death, the devil, was put away” (Hebrews 2:14). People fear death the most. Even the innocent Jesus leads to death. However, after breaking the power of death and the power of the devil, Jesus rose to life and became the first fruit of the resurrection, the victor. If you have faith in the resurrection, you can be bold without fear. Because there is victory.
2. It is the resurrection of life.
“Jesus said, I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live” (John 11:25).
“Jesus abolished death (2 Timothy 1:10).” Jesus is the source of life. That is why he cannot be bound by death, and he has been resurrected and has blessed anyone who believes in him to reach eternal life. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). That is why Jesus, who came as the only begotten Son, also gave the bread, meaning his body, and said, “If you eat this bread, you will live forever” (John 6:51). And he gave him a cup of wine, meaning his own blood, and said, “Whoever drinks my blood will live forever.” You did.
3. It is the resurrection of the promise.
Only Jesus was resurrected to destroy the power of the devil, overcome the power of death, and live eternally, but He has promised us the resurrection that we will live again. For those who believe, the resurrection of life is guaranteed, and for those who do not believe, the resurrection of judgment comes. Acts 24:15 says that the resurrection of the righteous and the wicked is different, and in John 5:29, those who have done good will have a completely different resurrection of life. is the blessed resurrection enjoyed through faith, and the resurrection of judgment is the cursed resurrection that comes from unbelief.
Dear members of Shepherd Church,
Our Savior, Jesus, rose from the dead and triumphed. He also promised us the resurrection of eternal life. Therefore, we pray in the name of Jesus that we will always thank God, celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, hope for a better resurrection, and become saints living for Jesus. Hallelujah, Amen.
