Title: Jesus, Ruler of Judgment
Contents
The text is from John 5:19-29
Dear brothers and sisters, I pray that you will serve only God.
Today's sermon is titled “Jesus, Ruler of Judgment”.
Then why are you judged? Since we are spiritually dead, our relationship with God, who is the spirit, is also cut off, and we live without seeking spiritual things. In other words, we live without thinking about the things of the Spirit. If the spirit is alive, you will not be judged, but if the spirit is dead, you will be judged (Romans 8:5). Jesus Christ is the ruler of this judgment. (Verses 22, 27, Mal 3:5, John 9:39) If Jesus judges with the power of judgment, believers will be divided into resurrection of life and unbelievers will be divided into resurrection of judgment. . Resurrection means to live again, to live forever in another world, to live again in a spiritual body instead of a physical body. The important thing for all people to be resurrected is that the resurrection of life is heaven with praise, rewards, and crowns, and the resurrection of judgment is hell with pain, regret, and curses. Heaven and Hell are determined by the primary judgment received according to whether we believe or not (1 Timothy 5:12), but there are secondary judgments that we receive according to our actions in life.
If we look at the secondary judgment, we see the arrogant (Proverbs 19:29), the murderer (Matthew 5:21), the murmuring (James 5:9), the disobedient (John 12:48), and the wicked (Ps. 1:5), those who commit adultery (Hebrews 13:4), those who shake their faith (Galatians 5:10), and those who love injustice (2 Thessalonians 2:12). We cannot object to the judgment that determines heaven and hell, reward and punishment. God is Absolute, Almighty, and Creator, and our life comes from him. Also, because the judgment is just, it cannot be disputed (John 5:30, Job 8:3, 1 Peter 2:23, Revelation 16:7).
As our members shun idols and serve only God, we must become those who participate in the resurrection of eternal life in the judgment of heaven and hell. I wish you the best of luck. In addition, in the process of living of faith, the spirit lives through worship, prayer, evangelism, devotion, the Word, and the fullness of the Holy Spirit, so that we can think of the spirit and keep away from pride, murder, adultery, resentment, and injustice on the Day of Judgment. Congratulations on becoming faithful saints.
