Title: Jesus Sent by God
Contents
The text is from John 3:31-36
The Word of God is made up of commands and promises. We must know the Lord's will in God's commandments. Ephesians 5:17 “Only understand what the will of the Lord is” Hebrews 10:7 “(Jesus) came to do the will of God” (Hebrews 10:7). Even Jesus followed his will until the end of his life. (Luke 22) Why is the will of the Lord important? Because in the will of the Lord there is the will, plan, and intention of the Lord. It does not change. (Hebrews 6:17) God imprisoned Satan, the enemy of God, in this world (Jude 1:6), and when Satan works as a devil, he destroys the devil (1 John 3:8), saves mankind, You have a grand plan for your sleep. Therefore, the Bibles of the Old and New Testaments are the history of God's redemption in one word. The ruler of this history of redemption is God. And the protagonist of the history of redemption is Jesus Christ. God sent Jesus Christ to this earth for the purpose of human salvation history. Jesus Christ became incarnate and came into this world (John 1:14).
The text testifies of Jesus sent by God as follows.
First, Jesus is from above. Verse 31 “He who comes from above is above all” Matthew 1:20 “He was conceived by the Holy Spirit” The first man, Adam, is an earthly person (a living spirit), but the second man (last Adam: a life-giving spirit) was born from heaven (1 Corinthians 15). Adam (Genesis 2:7), who was born on the earth, had a domicile in this world, but he who comes from above says, “The Son of Man has no place to lay his head” (Matthew 8:20). , Luke 9:58) Of course, it can be accepted as the reality of poor Jesus, but it must be understood as another meaning of “Jesus’ address is not in this world”. “My address is not of this world. I came from above. That is why I am not in this world, but above all things.” That is why all things must bow their knees and worship at his feet. (Philippians 2:10) John 1:3 “All things were made through him, and nothing that was made was made without him.” The verb “ στ γ” translated “to be” means that, because the tense is present, Jesus continues to be over all things now, and to have dominion over them and to continue to exercise them even now.
Second, Jesus is from heaven. Verses 31-32 “He who comes from heaven himself testifies of what he has seen and heard” To say that he came from heaven, ① He came from the bosom of God. (John 1:18, 2 Corinthians 4:4) ② He came from the throne of heaven. (John 1:18, 2 Corinthians 4:4) 3:13, John 6:38) Therefore, he had all authority in heaven and on earth. (Matthew 28:18) He was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God (Mark 16:19). He promised a reward in heaven.( Matthew 5:12) ③ Originally, he was God. (John 17:11, John 10:30, John 14:9) Because he was the only begotten son of God, he knows God and knows all of God's plans, intentions, and will. He knows the purpose of creation and the creation of man. (John 3:11) Therefore, when we meet Jesus, the spirit lives (John 6:63).
Fourth, Jesus is loved by Heavenly Father. Verse 35, “The Father loved the Son (God loved Jesus) and gave all things into his hand.” By conclusively confirming the status of Jesus and the absolute authority and authority of Jesus over all people and things, It is the word given. Not only the authority in heaven and on earth (Matthew 28:18), but even the authority to judge was all delegated to the Son (John 5:22). 3:17), and even when Jesus went up on a high mountain, He said, “My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased, listen to him” (Matthew 17:5). Therefore, if you believe in Jesus, the one whom God loves, you will have eternal life, but if you do not believe, you cannot escape the judgment because you did not believe in the name of the only begotten Son of God (John 3:16).
We must believe and accept Jesus Christ, the one sent by God, as the Son of God and our Savior. This is the way to be saved and the way to follow God's will. In the name of Jesus, I pray that Jesus Christ, sent by God, will be at the center of our lives.
