Lamb Jesus

(John 1:29-34) [29] The next day, when John saw Jesus coming to him, he said, “Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world. [30] I said before, there is someone coming after me, who is better than me. [31] I did not know him, but I came to baptize with water in order to reveal him to Israel. [32] John testified again, saying, I saw, and the Holy Spirit [33] And I did not know him, but he who said to me, send me to baptize with water, said to me, “If you see the Holy Spirit come down and remain on anyone, he is the one who baptizes with the Holy Spirit. [34] I saw and testified that he was the Son of God.”

We need to know about Jesus.

There is a lot of knowledge in the world.

Even if you don't know everything else, you should know about Jesus.

It is said that knowledge in the world is knowledge, but knowing about Jesus is truth.

(John 8:32) “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free”

When mankind was in sin, God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus, into the world.

God has prophesied countless times in the Bible about Jesus, the only begotten Son of God who will be sent to this world.

And he sent a man to the world to tell the world that Jesus is the Son of God.

He is John the Baptist.

John the Baptist was the one who made Jesus known to the world.

John the Baptist was baptizing in the wilderness of Judea, preparing the way for Jesus to come, and preaching Jesus to the people.

[29] John the Baptist introduced Jesus to the people, saying, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.”

Jesus is the Lamb of God.

In the Old Testament times, God's people offered a lamb sacrifice once a year.

A lamb had to be slaughtered to make a sacrifice.

But this lamb looks pretty and cute.

All the babies of animals are beautiful. All the pups are pretty.

The children are pretty, the dogs and the cats...the kittens of all animals are pretty.

Sheep - She's really pretty.

Animals, especially dogs, are adults - food, children - friends.

He killed a beautiful, innocent, lamb, a white sheep.

Children of Israel - don't kill them. I beg and cry.

Then the parents would have told their children at this time.

This sheep must die so we can live...

And as he sees him die for his sins, he weeps.

In the Old Testament times, God's people sacrificed a beautiful and lovely lamb once a year in each household.

An innocent sheep had to die to save them.

Jesus is the Lamb of God who died for our sins.

Jesus is without sin.

I have never harassed anyone.

I have never taken anything from anyone.

I have never sinned.

But Jesus, like the Lamb, was crucified for our sins.

He took on all our sins, wickedness, blood, and filthiness and died in our place.

God's Covenant

God made a special promise to His people to save mankind from perishing through sin.

It was a wonderful promise that the people who were under eternal curse because of their sins could be freed from their sins and become God's people.

It is to slaughter a sheep to bleed instead as punishment for our sins.

Sin is what we commit and the punishment we receive is the sheep.

Jesus is the Lamb.

We sinned, but Jesus paid the penalty for us.

Jesus is the Lamb.

1. Jesus is the Passover Lamb.

The Israelites lived as slaves in Egypt for 430 years.

In Exodus 12, when the Israelites came out of Egypt, ten plagues were first brought down on Egypt.

And the last tenth of the ten plagues was the death of all the firstborn in Egypt.

In the death of this firstborn, all people of Egypt comfortedly commemorate the deliverance of the people of Israel from the calamity in which all the firstborn of the livestock, from the firstborn of Pharaoh king of Egypt to the firstborn of prisoners, and even the firstborn of livestock, the Passover is celebrated. ) was.

There was great sorrow in all the families in Egypt.

The plague of the death of the firstborn in every household swept across Egypt.

Moses preached the word of God to the people of Israel.

In order to save the people of Israel, God slaughtered a lamb and purged the blood.

However, even among the people of Israel, those who believed and did these words lived, but all those who did not believe and did not do so died.

The way to salvation is not how righteous or wicked he was in the past, but the fact that only those who put blood on the doorposts survived.

It was the blood of the Passover lamb that saved the Israelites from destruction and death in Egypt.

That's why John the Baptist said, "Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world...

Here is the true sacrifice of God that can save you from death.”

The apostle Paul says that the reason why the saints were renewed is because Jesus became the Passover lamb.

(1 Corinthians 5:7) “Though you are unleavened, throw away the old leaven that it may become a new lump, for our Passover lamb, Christ, was sacrificed.”

In the history of Israel, as long as there is a temple, a lamb is offered daily.

Even after war broke out and they were besieged, they still offered the lamb.

He never neglected to offer up a lamb as a sacrifice until the temple was destroyed in AD 70.

Who is this Passover Lamb?

We are saved from our sins by the blood of Jesus, the Passover Lamb.

(1 Peter 1:18-19) “[18] You know that it was not with perishable things like silver or gold that you were redeemed from the vain acts of your ancestors, [19] but as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. with the precious blood of Christ.”

(Rev 7:9-10) [9] After these things, I saw a great crowd, which no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people, and tongue, clothed in white, with palm branches in their hands, and before the throne, and the Lamb [10] And he stood before them, and cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God, who sitteth on the throne, and to the Lamb.

Those who know Jesus as the Passover sacrifice and have the blood of Jesus in their hearts are those who have been saved.

There is salvation for those who look to Jesus.

Those who look to Jesus will be forgiven of their sins.

You will receive the blessing of becoming a child of God.

God's grace and blessings do not leave those who look to Jesus.

This Passover Lamb is the shadow of Jesus Christ.

Please believe that the way that human beings are saved from destruction is not because of our good deeds or merits, but because of the blood of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, and because of the power of His precious blood.

2. Jesus is the Lamb offered as a sacrifice before God.

Every morning and evening at the temple in Jerusalem, the capital of Israel, a lamb, a one-year-old lamb, was offered as a sacrifice before God.

By doing this, God's mercy will come to all the people.

(Ex 29:38) “This is what you are offering on the altar: two lambs a year old every day.”

Also, in Leviticus 4:24, when offering a sin offering, the sinner lays his hands on the head of the lamb, and prays for repentance.

(Leviticus 4:24) “You shall lay your hands on the goat’s head, and you shall slaughter it in the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered before the Lord, which is a sin offering.”

In other words, it is a ceremony of imputing the sins of man to the sheep. After the prayer of repentance is finished, the sheep are slaughtered and the altar is set on fire.

This means that the sheep died instead of sinners, just as Jesus died for us sinners.

Every morning and evening a sheep was sacrificed for the people.

Jesus is the Lamb that has been sacrificed.

Isaiah puts it this way:

(Isa 53:5-6) “[5] He was pierced for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and with his wounds we are healed. 6] We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way, and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

3. Thirdly, Jesus is the sheep of Azazel.

On the 10th of July, the Day of Atonement, the sins of all the Israelites were to be laid on the sheep, and their sins had to be passed on, and the sheep had to carry their sins and go into the wilderness.

Sheep Azazel carried the sins of the people and went to the wilderness, where she bore sins and died thirsty, hungry, torn by beasts, lost and dying.

This sheep was called the Azazel sheep, but through this sheep the Israelites were always freed from all sins and became God's people.

John the Baptist pointed to Jesus [29] and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.” This means that he is the Lamb who must take away his sins and go into the wilderness to die.

Originally, they send goats. But that means sheep.

Because the sheep do not go into the wilderness.

The “Azazel” sheep refers to the scapegoat for the people of Israel, which is set in Leviticus chapter 16.

The word “Azazel” means “to send away” in Hebrew.

On the Day of Atonement, when the people of Israel repent of their sins, the priest lays his hands on the head of the prepared sheep “Azazel” and confesses the sins of Israel.

Then they send this sheep into the desert where no people live, and the sheep will carry the injustice of all the people of Israel and go into the wilderness.

This is Miss Azazel.

Jesus is the Lamb of Azazel, who took on all our sins and died.

Who is Jesus?

He is the Passover Lamb, the lamb that was sacrificed for sin.

This is the “Azazel” sheep, who is sent to the wilderness, bearing the sins of all the people.

John did not testify, "Behold, the King of Israel!"

He didn't even say, "Behold, the anointed of God!"

It only testifies, "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!"

Jesus is the Passover Lamb for our salvation.

He is the sacrifice for all our sins.

He is the Lamb of Azazel who takes away the sins of the world.

Even today, everyone who believes in Jesus Christ and whose sins are forgiven through His blood will be saved. get eternal life.

(1 John 5:12) “He who has the Son has life, and he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.”

Not whether he is good or evil.

How long has he been attending church? It's not about how well you pray.

Does he have Jesus Christ or not?

The only standard is Jesus Christ.

I sincerely pray that the precious blood of Jesus, shed as the Lamb, will always remain in your hearts, so that you have the grace of salvation.
