The only savior, Jesus / Acts 4:12
*Text:12 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
==================================================== =====================================
A Hindu young man listens to a sermon from a missionary. God forgives all our sins by sending His only begotten Son to this earth to die on the cross for us, so that if anyone believes in Jesus, all sins are forgiven and he has eternal life. Jesus, who came to this earth, is all-powerful, omnipotent God, who made all things in the universe. That God Himself came to this earth in a physical body. Everyone, believe in Jesus and receive the forgiveness of sins and receive eternal life.
After the young man heard the sermon, he said to the missionary, 'Your God is very poor. I don't know why such a great and powerful person can come to this miserable world and carry the cross to the point of saving humans with such power. And then he goes back to his house.
This young man was passing through a field on the way home, and found a swarm of ants living peacefully on one side of the field. He stopped and looked at the young man for a long time. But the farmer is coming from the other side, plowing the field with a plow. The young man thought he was in trouble. When a plow passes over these peaceful ants, they are completely amputated. For ants, it can be a barrier to heaven and earth. The young man begins to shout at the ants. "It's dangerous, ants! Avoid quickly! It's dangerous if you just stay there! But no matter how much you shout, the ants won't budge. The ants can't understand the young man. It was a pity. The only way for the young man to let the ants know is What is it? To become an ant. As the young man was thinking about this, something flashed through his head like lightning. God had no choice but to come to this earth wearing the same body as us in order to save us.” He ran to the missionary, accepted Jesus, and became a young man who believed in Jesus.
Why should you believe in Jesus? This is because we had no choice but to perish because of our sins, but God forgave our sins by taking on a physical body and coming in the same image as us and being nailed to the cross for our sins.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
“He who hears my word and believes in him who sent me has eternal life and will not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life” (John 5:24).
Faith in Jesus is salvation from destruction. It is a transition from death to life. The greatest happiness in life lies in believing in Jesus.
In order to save people, God took the punishment that people deserved for their sins instead. Therefore, if you believe, you can have eternal life.
There were some judges. One day his son committed a very serious crime. It was a crime so great that it deserved the death penalty. A Supreme Court judge is now in charge of his son's trial, and he has the right to acquit his son. But if you do, you will be stigmatized as a bad judge. However, if he sentenced his son to death, he would become a heartless father to his son. A father can save his son, but if he does not, he is a heartless father.
Finally, on the day of the trial, the father tried his son's crimes and sentenced him to "death". Everyone was amazed. Would you like to sentence your son to death? Because I thought But something even more surprising happened next. The Supreme Court Justice said on the spot, 'I am resigning from the position of Supreme Court Justice from today.' Then, taking off the Supreme Court Justice's clothes, he came downstairs and said, 'I will be executed in behalf of this son.'
He did not pardon his son by the authority of a Supreme Court judge, but he was just obeying the law as a judge, and then took off his robe and came down to fulfill his father's duty toward his son.
This is the image our Heavenly Father has taken for us.
Or maybe some people do. "Do I have to believe only in Jesus? There are so many religions in the world!" People who believe in Jesus are said to be too self-righteous. It's not self-righteous.
1 John 3:5 "We know that he was revealed to take away our sins, and he is without sin."
Jesus is the only Savior. A sinless God came down to this earth for our sins and took our sins upon us.
He is without sin. He is a strict judge of sin. After judging that “the wages of sin is death,” God Himself came to this earth in a physical body and carried the cross to save us.
Who in this world was born without sin? Who in this world can solve the problem of sin and lead to eternal life?
The Bible verse we read today says, "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
“I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).
What should we Christians be careful about today? They are pseudo-heretics. They have to be very careful as they target believers as their primary target. Otherwise, you will fall into ruin in an instant.
What kind of people fall into a cult and at one moment abandon all teachings, abandon the true gospel, and become captivated by the false gospel? Those who do not have a clear understanding of the Gospel.
What is the true gospel? The gospel is to gain eternal life through Jesus Christ. If we say that there is eternal life without Jesus Christ, it is unconditionally false gospel. It's a pseudo, heresy.
What are the characteristics of a cult? They babble as if they have a special theory, ability, or know-how of eternal life other than believing in Jesus, saying that they should belong to their group, and introduce other scriptures in addition to the Bible they only have.
Dear saints, the only gospel is to believe in Jesus Christ and receive eternal life. If you say you can gain eternal life through any theory, ability, or know-how other than believing in Jesus Christ, it is unconditionally false gospel. And faith in Jesus Christ is not given through human effort, merit, or special rituals, but only through the work of the Holy Spirit.
In 1 John 2:24, the apostle John exhorts you to abide in what I first taught you. The first thing he taught is the gospel of gaining eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ. False heresies infiltrated the church from which John the Apostle left and came up with different theories, which caused the believers to be confused.
1 John 2:27 says, “The anointing you received from the Lord abides in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you, but his anointing teaches all things, and is true and is not a lie, just as he taught you, abide in the Lord. You do not need to be taught by other theories, because the Holy Spirit already dwells in you. You only need to abide in faith in Jesus Christ.
1 John 2:22 "Who is a liar? Does he not deny that Jesus is the Christ? He who denies the Father and the Son is the Antichrist." Anyone who denies that Jesus is the savior and that Jesus is the Son of God is the antichrist, that is, who opposes Christ and is the spearhead of destruction.
Even if you believe for decades, you don't know what the true gospel is, and you are deceived by world theories and deny the gospel, deny the gospel ahead of your own theories and thoughts, and put only what you say when you pray. It's a pity that I don't understand anything.
What did the apostle Paul say? Didn't he say, "I only know Jesus and his cross, and I will boast," and nothing else would be considered feces?
Jesus should come out of a Christian's mouth every now and then, not something out of the ordinary. The person with the best faith is not someone who says, 'I prayed and it is like this', 'It's been 20 or 30 years since I believed in Jesus', and 'I speak in tongues, I prophesy, I can heal, and even demons It's not someone who says, 'I'm kicking you out', what kind of president the church is, the person who donates the most to the church, and not the person who says what kind of achievements he has accomplished. Only those who boast about Jesus. “It was great because I believed in Jesus,” “I believed in Jesus, and I had nothing to envy.” “As I believed in Jesus, I was not envious of a king, not envious of a rich man, not envious of a doctor.” is.
Why? Only Jesus is the way. It's the truth and it's life! Only through Jesus can we receive forgiveness of sins, salvation, eternal life, and go to heaven. No one else can ever be saved!
After graduating from Kyungpook National University and working as a teacher, he had a purpose, so he shaved his head and went to a temple in the mountains. However, when he entered Buddhism, he realized that there were various corruptions, so he decided to purify the Buddhist world and tried to build a Buddhist university by borrowing private debts, but he lost everything and went to prison because of a fraudster.
When the monk went to prison, he naturally read a lot of books on Buddhism. One day, the guard in charge of the book asked for Buddhist scriptures, and he brought a Bible. So the monk got angry and shouted, “What if I bring you a bible while I’m in school?” The guards say, “Monk! Today, all of the blasphemous books are on loan, so I brought them to read even the Bible because I thought you would be bored. At first I yelled, but what do Jesuits believe? He thought, “Let’s see.” So he received the Bible and started reading it. After he read the Bible for a long time, he felt a thrill. While reading Luke 7, I discovered a very surprising fact.
As Jesus was passing through the city of Nain, a widow wept after the statue and found the body of her only son in the statue. Jesus took hold of the bonus, stopped it, and said, “Young man, I say to you, get up.” The dead young man jumped up and came back to life. Jesus is giving the young man to his mother.
Monk Seonghwa Kim found that there are similar stories in the Buddhist scriptures, but the ending is very different.
Buddha and his disciples are walking in a forest called Sidalrim in Gushira, India, when a young widow runs out of breath and runs in front of the Buddha. Buddha, Buddha, please spare my son. No, why? My only son has just died from an illness. I cannot live without this son. please save me The Buddha said, "Now, go to the village below and find a house where no one has ever died, and get a handful of rice, boil and feed it." After wandering around the village all day, he brought his exhausted body to the front of the Buddha and said, 'There has never been a house like that.' At this point, the Buddha says: "People are born and mortal. Once born, people die. They are born according to a relationship and disappear according to a relationship. There is nothing to be sad about." . Shakyamuni gave the most human words of wisdom.
Believe that only life belongs to Jesus Christ, and only Jesus is the only savior, and entrust your life completely.
