Title: Jesus Walking on Water
Bible: Matthew 14:24-33 Mark 6:45-52
2006. 8. 20. Afternoon
You too can walk on water. If you teach me the secret, I hope you will do it.
A bicycle has only two wheels. Until K. Drys invented and rode a bicycle, he thought that he could never stand without two wheels. However, if you move to another place before you fall, you will run without falling. So if you speed up, you won't fall over and run well. Similarly, when walking on water, just before my body sinks, I quickly take off my foot and then take off the other foot and walk...
1. Jesus Trains His Disciples for Trials
Jesus, who sent only his disciples in a boat, knew that there would be a storm in the middle of the sea, but he sent only his disciples. The reason is the intention to train the disciples. Sometimes the Lord takes us into a storm of trials. Then it is meant to test us and grow our faith. Therefore, you have to be patient and endure the ordeal.
2. Jesus Praying for His Disciples
After sending his disciples, Jesus went up a mountain by himself to pray. What did Jesus pray at this time? He must have prayed for the disciples who met the storm of trials as well as to share spiritual communion with God even on a tiring week.
Please believe that our Lord is praying today so that we can overcome trials without falling into temptation when we are suffering.
3. Jesus Runs Immediately
Jesus waits to some extent when the saints suffer. In order to increase your faith, however, if you are in an unwinnable situation, believe that the Lord who has prepared a way of escape will immediately run to you and reach out your hand. At this time, the Lord was walking on the water. This shows that our Jesus is beyond the laws of nature. Believe that the Lord is the Creator of nature and He transcends it.
4. Jesus Rebukes Peter
Peter thought it was a ghost and walked on the water when he heard Jesus said to him to come. After a while, he found himself drowning again and was afraid. And scream. “Lord, save me.” Jesus immediately stretched out his hand, took hold of it, and said, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” Then he took his hand and got into the boat together.
If we look to the Lord, we can even walk on the sea, but if we look to the wind, or the environment, we quickly lose faith and fall into the water. Therefore, I pray for the people of faith who only look to the Lord until the end.
5. Jesus Calm the Sea
As soon as Jesus got into the boat, the wind stopped and the sea became calm. All winds and seas obey the will of the Lord.
Dear saints,
Please realize that our trials are a test for the Lord to increase my faith. And I hope that you will always believe that the Lord is with you in the field of my suffering and is praying for me. And if I'm in an unwinnable situation, trust me that I'll come right away and solve all my problems. In the name of Jesus, I pray that you believe that the storms and winds that have reached your life are the key to receiving God's greater blessings by training yourself and increasing your faith.
