Title [2009] Jesus Who Enriches Life

Contents

The text is from John 10:7-15

All living things in this world have one life (life). But man has two lives. One is physical life (life) and the other is spiritual life. Physical life is life given by God through parents, and spiritual life is life given directly by God. (Genesis 2:7) Physical life is a life that ends in one lifetime. It withers like a flower. This is what the Bible refers to as a finite number of days. At the end of the day, you will surely die from this world. However, since spiritual life comes from God, even on the day we take off the veil of the flesh, we do not die with the body, nor do it perish, but it is eternal. From a religious point of view, spiritual life is more precious than physical life. However, since human beings have sinned and the spiritual life is dead, they do not even know the preciousness of spiritual life nor see the world of spiritual life.

If the physical life dies, we will weep and weep, but we do not feel sorry for the spiritual life and do not mourn over the death. Rather, I live my life saying that I am good because I am not calm. However, this is not what pleases God. I pray that you value the life of the body as well as the life of the soul.

So God gave up even the life of his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, for our spiritual life. John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth, and the life” He is not just a living life, but a life-giving life. Resurrection from the grave, we too have life through faith in the Lord of the Resurrection. Then, is it all over just because we have the life of Jesus, isn't it?

In this world we live in, the devil is constantly working. Hebrews 2:14 also mentions “the one who has the power of death, the devil.” The devil, who has the power of death (death), cannot allow us believers who have restored their spiritual life through the life of Jesus to live in the midst of life. Therefore, we must constantly be rich, full, and richer with the life of Jesus throughout our lives. So today's text also proves it. 10:7-11 “Therefore Jesus said again, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the Good Shepherd, and I have come that they may have life and have it abundantly.” Jesus is our Shepherd, and our saints are his sheep. Dear saints, I pray that you will be filled with the life of Jesus, the shepherd. for this

first. We must avoid sin.

Romans 6:23 It is said that “the wages of sin is death.” Since death, the opposite of life, is the result of sin, we must abstain from sin. Jesus also said at the beginning of his public life, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matthew 4:17), and his beloved disciples exclaimed in Acts 2, “Repent and receive the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the Holy Spirit.” . We must hate sin and love life. We must repent, turn away from sin, and draw near to Jesus, who gives us life.

second. You must yearn for heaven.

1 John 2:15-16 “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him, for all that is in the world is the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. It does not come from God, but from the world.” St. Augustine compared eternal life (spiritual life) and this life (physical life) with the sea and a bowl of water. Human beings who do not know that there is spiritual life and do not know that life is more precious than physical life are short-sighted people who live in front of the Pacific Ocean as if a bowl of water is everything. Therefore, we must live in hope of eternal heaven. If we value the spiritual life in this way, we will live by the grace of God in the present life and reach eternal life in the next life. As a result, even in this world
