Title: Jesus Who Fulfills (Does) God's Will
Contents
The text is from John 4:27-38
If you live according to God's will, your misfortune will end! Happy beginning. The word θ λημα (Hel) translated as “will” when referring to “the will of God” means “willful desire or strong desire.” In other words, God's will is God's will, plan, purpose, and desire. In God's will, there is only God's intention, pride, honor, and God's existence itself. Therefore, God's will must be fulfilled. During the time of the prophet Samuel, King Saul went to war with Amalek (1 Samuel 15). We will win the war, so we will destroy all their possessions, but even after hearing God's words to kill sheep and donkeys, when we win the war, we leave behind the good things of sheep and cattle and destroy only the insignificant and worthless things. As a result, God regretted that he had made Saul king, and abandoned him and anointed David the son of Jesse.
How important is God's will, and Jesus obeyed it.
① He came to this world according to the prophecy that contains the will of God. (John 3:16, Acts 7:25) The writer of Hebrews quoted Psalm 40:6-8 and said, “Jesus came to do the will of God. ” is testifying.
② Jesus, who came to do God's will, died on the cross for the sins of all mankind. (Luke 22:41, Matthew 26:36) ③ God's will was accomplished. John 19:30 He speaks on the cross. “I have done it all.”
It is the Lord's will that we pray.
God's will is so important that it is more precious than our daily bread. Verse 34, “Jesus said to him, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me, and to complete his work.” Matthew 6:31 “Do not be anxious, saying, “What shall I eat, or what shall I drink, or what shall I wear?” 32 Verse 33 says, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness.”
It does not change how important God's will is. (Hebrews 6:17, Matthew 24:35) Since God's will is contained in the Word, just as the Word cannot change, so does the will. Therefore, the kingdom of heaven can also be entered by living according to God's will. (Matthew 7:21, Matthew 12:50) Jesus spoke of God's will more honorably than food, heaven, parents, brothers, and children.
God's will is so precious that we must obey it even risking our lives. “Father, if you will, let this cup pass from me. But I will drink as I will, and that your will may be done.” (Luke 22:42) Not once, but three times, the prayer that I began earnestly at the beginning began with sweat A desperate prayer that becomes stained and later drops of sweat become drops of blood. In the end, in accordance with Heavenly Father's will to save mankind, Jesus, who ascends Golgotha Hill with the cross, is more precious than life.
How precious God's will is is the joy of God. (Philippians 2:13, Ephesians 1:5) Dear saints, listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying to the churches. The will of God cannot be transcended by anyone. You cannot forsake it (Luke 7:30). You cannot limit it. Of course, we cannot resist. (Romans 9:19) Because God's will is God's will, plan, purpose, and hope that exist above all things. Therefore, those who obey his will and are used according to his will are blessed. I will live my life according to the will of the Lord! We also pray that our members will live according to the will of the Lord.
Acts 13:22 “I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after my own heart, who will give us all my will.” My will is God's will. Then, what is the will of God accomplished through David? In Matthew 1:1, the genealogy of the descendants of Abraham and David, the genealogy of Jesus Christ. As the descendants of David, Jesus came to this earth and completed the history of redemption for the salvation of mankind on the cross, saying, “I am finished,” and it is God’s will that He died on the cross. I did.
1 John 2:17 “The world and its lusts pass away, but he who does the will of God abides forever.” Eternity is an attribute of God. In order to have eternal life with the eternal God, we must act according to God's will (Ephesians 5:17, Psalm 143:10, Romans 12:2).
You must know the will of God. We summarize and convey the will of God in the Bible.
First, believing in Jesus, being saved, and becoming a child of God (soul salvation) is (John 6:40).
① Forgiveness of sins (Ephesians 1:7) ② Becoming children (Ephesians 1:5) ③ Praise (Ephesians 1:6)
Second, believers in Jesus are to be sanctified. (1 Thessalonians 4:3, 2 Corinthians 7:1, John 17:17, 1 Corinthians 1:2, 1 Tim 4:5, 1 Corinthians 3:17, Col 1:22, Hebrews 12:14) 1 Peter 1:16 “Because I am holy, you Be holy too.”
Third, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18) (Philippians 4:4, 1 Samuel 12:23)
It is God's will to live with joy, prayer, and thanksgiving. Gratitude brings thanks, and complaining brings testing. Always be thankful for everything. Better things will happen.
Fourth, suffering for the sake of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 3:17, Matthew 5:11).
Fifth, to be filled with the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 5:17-18)
Getting drunk is the form of a fool, but being filled with the Holy Spirit is the will of the Lord. Hallelujah!
“I will live according to the will of the Lord all my life”
