Bible: 1 Corinthians 9-11. Sunday sermon on April 1, 2007.
Title: The Suffered Jesus. <Passion Sunday Worship Sermon>
I believe that God will bless you today.
In 1984, I made a pilgrimage to the Holy Land in Jerusalem, which I had dreamed of.
I'm back.
The place where our Jesus walked while preaching the gospel of the kingdom,
And on the night before the last Jesus was arrested
The Garden of Gethsemane where he knelt and prayed,
I also walked the hill road of Golgotha, where he was humiliated by the cross.
In this way, I visited Israel and Egypt for about a month
In order to tour European countries, including
And through the Reformers Martin Luther and Calvin who were descendants of the Apostle Paul.
Looking back at Switzerland, which sparked the Reformed faith
And I came back home via Japan.
At that time, the travel agency took care of all the procedures and picked up
There was no difficulty in visiting various countries.
There were two (2) young men who acted as guides (interpreters) for our group.
Each time, they are subjected to strict examinations for the immigration procedures of the respective country.
I've seen it quite difficult.
After that, I also visited the USA and Canada in 1988.
The visit to Canada was not difficult because I entered via the United States.
But first, I had to get a US visa
I went to the US embassy in what is now Gwanghwamun and got an interview.
Now I remember getting ready for the visa interview.
It was extremely difficult to create the documents alone.
And I had to go over it several times and re-create and submit the documents.
And a certain amount of cash they demand is deposited in the bank
What should have been the basics.
The next step is to receive an in-person interview.
Perhaps one or twenty (20) things the US consul asked directly
It seems to have been over enough.
Checking out all the yomojomo
When it is determined that this person is not a person who will be staying illegally
They give you visas as rain.
At that time, it was the time when Korea was hosting the 88 World Olympics.
Also, when I was working as the president of a branch of the Christian Businessmen's Association in Busan.
However, I think the visa was not easily granted.
Everyone! Now due to the 9/11 incident
The judging criteria are strict and I have.
That is why the procession of those seeking visas is still
There is a long line in the back alley of Gwanghwamun.
At this juncture, we are finally hearing some good news.
It is said that the US visa waiver will come soon.
For those who wish to go to America,
It can't be good news.
To become a US Visa Waiver, the visa refusal rate must be below 3%.
The U.S. Homeland Security Enhancement Act, whose provisions have been greatly relaxed, was passed on March 13 (local time).
Because it passed the US Senate.
In the meantime, the US has flexibly adjusted the '3%' clause that has been applied uniformly.
In the case of allies in the war against terrorism, if certain conditions are met,
to the US Visa Waiver Program (VWP).
It's about being able to sign up. Accordingly, Korea joined the VWP.
You are more likely to join.
So, if you become a visa-free country, you can enter the US
You will be able to visit and stay for up to 90 days.
<Alexander Vershbow, U.S. Ambassador to Korea Contribution Page 29>
However, the bill is a prerequisite for expanding the VWP.
Use of high-tech e-passport containing biometric information;
Counter-terrorism-related cooperation and information sharing
It is stipulated that
Accordingly, the Korean government is promoting issuance of e-passports.
In the field of consultation on immigration control and joint counter-terrorism response
We are strengthening our cooperation with the United States.
If the bill passes the House of Representatives, it will be
It is expected to be implemented. But here we
There is something to think about.
At least for South Korea to become a permanent visa-free country in the United States.
Part-time wages in Korea are at least an illegal immigrant in the U.S.
It should be more than wages.
And even if the entrance exam hell is eliminated, the conscription system is abolished, or it is maintained
Compensation for working in society during military service is
there should be
That way, even if the US asks us to immigrate, we won't go.
Therefore, in the end, problems such as illegal immigrants and visa refusal rate
Because it is clear that it will be lowered that much.
Everyone! Why am I so lengthy about US visas?
Are you talking? Everyone! to enter a country on earth
The screening process is also difficult and the process is complicated.
And the rejection rate is very high.
So there is the eternal kingdom of God, the Holy Trinity, God,
Where our forefathers are, the heavenly angels together
where there will be no more death, no more tears and sighs, no mourning or sorrow,
Why, in order to enter the eternal heaven,
Are there no criteria for that evaluation? Why is our God like this?
Would you neglect your work? is to do
Admittedly, there are strict standards here too.
There is a thorough procedure. and never God
Anybody get swarmed by scoundrels by any means
Obviously you won't be able to.
Surely this is only for those who have citizenship in heaven (Heaven)
will go in Perhaps the entrance was blocked by angels.
We will check one by one.
I will count the number of those who are sealed.
Revelation 7:2-3. And I saw another angel living
He came up from the rising of the sun with the seal of God,
Cry aloud to the four angels who have been given power to harm
3) He said, "Let the earth or the earth
Do not harm the sea or the trees. (Rev 7:1-12).
Everyone! Now each person will be screened like this.
will be filtered out. like a sheep from a goat,
It will be like a distinction between those who have a lamp and those who do not have it.
That verse is in today's text.
Look at verses 9-10 again.
The unrighteous will inherit the kingdom of God
Don't you know that you will not receive it as an inheritance? Do not be deceived.
the fornicator, or the idolater, or the adulterer, or the stalker,
sodomy
10) Thieves, greedy people, drunkards, swindlers, and extortioners
will not inherit the kingdom of God.
The above words do not receive the kingdom of God as an inheritance.
These are the types of people who can't.
At least, an adulterer, an idolater, an adulterer, a seeker, sodomy
thieves, greedy people, drunkards, swindlers,
Extortioners cannot enter the kingdom of God.
It's too hard to say. So this part is a new translation of the Bible
Let's see it one more time.
Verses 9-10. The unrighteous are the people of God
Don't you know that you will not inherit? Don't get me wrong.
fornicators, or idolaters,
Those who commit adultery, those who act as women,
homosexual people,
10) Thieves, greedy people,
The drunkards, the slanderers, and the robbers,
You will not inherit the kingdom of God.
This is today's text. It is undoubtedly the word of God.
As above, all human beings have lived under sin.
And because of that sin, we could not reach the glory of God.
This is Romans 3:23. all have sinned
came short of the glory of God
Everyone! So we humans are just hopeless and hopeless
that had to live.
I was just running down the road to destruction.
But our Jesus will solve this great problem.
He came to this earth to finish his three years of public service and is now going to Jerusalem.
It is about entering.
And well over 2000 years ago, that day was
Today is the Sunday we keep.
Now our Lord to atone for the sins of our humanity,
carried on the back of a donkey to carry the cross to Jerusalem
You are slowly coming in.
And his heart is burning with a ferocious determination now.
Many people who do not know this are cheering.
He takes off his jacket and puts it on the road. Break the end branch and hold it
Hosanna shouts and shakes.
This is the providence of our God to save mankind.
The thoughts of our ignorant people who hanged are always
You jumped over.
After our Jesus entered Jerusalem,
You have sent your schedule.
Weekdays: Mark 11:7-11 Enter Jerusalem.
Monday: Mark 11:15-18 Cleansing the temple / Matthew 21:19 Cursing the fig tree.
Tuesday: Mark 14:10-11 The betrayal of Judah.
Wednesday: Matthew 25:1 2 He said that the temple in Jerusalem would be destroyed.
Thursday: John 13:4-5 Passover Supper.
Friday: Mark 15:22-24 Crucifixion.
Saturday: Matthew 27:65-66 Remaining in the tomb.
Day of the week: John 20:1 Resurrection...
So next Sunday is Easter Sunday.
Everyone! Our Jesus took away our sins
He is crucified on the following Friday for redemption.
So the Bible testifies as follows.
John 1:28-29. This happened in the Jordan River, where John was baptizing.
It happened in Bethany on the other side.
29) The next day John said Jesus to him
When he saw him coming, he said, Behold, the one who takes away the sins of the world
It is the Lamb of God.
In this way, our Jesus took away all our sins
and carried the cross of suffering.
And just before he died, I have accomplished everything he said.
You said.
Having done this, now we can all believe,
The way to be granted citizenship in heaven
You opened it wide. Hallelujah!!!
That's why Mark 16:16 says this.
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved.
He who does not believe will be condemned.
Then in the book of Acts, he says:
Acts 2:37-41. When we heard this, our hearts were pierced
They asked Peter and the other apostles, saying, "Brothers, what shall we do?"
38) Peter said to them, "Repent, and let each one of you
Be baptized and receive the remission of sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
39) This promise is with you and your children
To all distant people, to whomever the Lord our God may call
say you did
40) And he confirmed it with many words and persuaded him, saying,
Be saved from this perverse generation.
41) Those who received it were baptized, and on this day
The number of the disciples was added three thousand.
Everyone! In our church, we have a baptism service on the following Sunday, Easter Sunday.
We hope that many of you will participate.
Dear saints!
Today, on this Passion Sunday, the great moving of the Holy Spirit
I hope you are
And the facts of the suffering and resurrection of our Jesus
History is deeply engraved in the heart
I wish you grace. <Amen>.
