Job's Faith/Job 23:10

Pastor Vaccine

Today, I will share the grace of God with a sermon titled "Job's Faith".

Let's go back to verse 10.

“Only he knows the way I go; after he has tested me

I will come out like gold.”

About 3500 years ago, in the land of Uz, which was on the border of Arabia,

There was a man named Job whom he spoke to.

Job had seven sons and three daughters.

He was the richest man in the East at the time and had a lot of money.

Job received spiritual blessings above, material blessings below, children's blessings, and business blessings below.

All.

But one day, a great tragedy struck Job.

Job suffered a great tragedy in a very short time.

He lost a lot of his fortune in one day.

Ten children's houses collapsed in one day and all died, and it was a scary thing that I personally couldn't handle.

Due to an incurable skin disease, he groaned in a harsh environment,

I also don't get help and encouragement from my wife.

Job's wife cursed God, saying, "Are you still going to keep the faith? Curse God and die."

After that, I left.

Job's friends also mocked and accused him of being punished by God.

Indeed, Job suffered a great tragedy.

However, even in this difficult environment, Job did not blame God.

I thanked God even in this pain.

I depended on God.

I kept asking God for help.

Even in difficult tribulations like flames, he eventually brought victory with his indomitable faith.

The Bible says that he was blessed twice as much after he was before.

Job overcame all circumstances by faith.

So what kind of faith did Job have?

Verse 10 of today's text describes Job's faith well.

1. It is the fact that God knows our way of life.

Verse 10, “But he knows the way I go; and after he has tested me, I

I will come out," he said.

“He knows the way I go,” he said.

We do not know our way, but God knows our way.

People did not know the way Job was going, but God knew the way Job was going.

Job was deeply misunderstood.

His close friends thought he was a hypocrite.

His wife thought her husband was cursed.

They thought that Job had committed a great sin and was being punished by God.

But why did Job come to me in such pain?

I don't know now, but God knows.

Why did such a great tragedy come to me?

I don't know now, but God knows.

I don't know what will happen next, but God knows.

God will surely open my way and restore me.

I believed that God, who knew my way, would surely deliver me from this great suffering.

I did.

Neither of us can predict tomorrow.

No one knows our way.

But God knows.

God knows the plan for my life.

We do not know that we came to live in America, but God knows.

God's providence and plan are clearly there.

I want him to entrust the path of my life to him.

2. God is the one who trains us.

Let's go back to verse 10.

“But he knows the way I go; and after he has tried me I will come out like gold.”

“After he has trained me,” he said.

(Proverbs 17:3) "The crucible refines silver and the furnace refines gold, but the LORD tests the heart."

Trials are essential to testing our faith.

He trains us so that we can be worthy of use.

A well-trained player wins the match.

A well-trained soldier can win a war.

In the same way, God trains us to use us honorably.

God trained and disciplined Joseph so that he could be used honorably.

Moses also trained in the wilderness for 40 years.

(1 Peter 4:12-13)

“Beloved, it is strange to see the fiery trial that comes to try you as if something strange happened to you.

but rejoice in the place where you share in the sufferings of Christ, for the glory of his

so that you may rejoice and rejoice when he is born."

Don't be discouraged when things get difficult.

For believers, it is not a challenge, but a discipline.

Even when we are in trials, God is with us in those trials.

When Job knew this, he said, "After he has trained me."

3. God makes us pure gold.

Verse 10, “But he knows the way I go; and after he has tested me, I will come out like gold.

la"

“I will come out like gold” means that I will become like gold in the future.

To become like gold means to become like gold.

our life becomes like gold

Let our business be like gold

Our children will become like gold.

How valuable is it now that it is gold?

Stones are common, but gold is rare.

Stones are worthless, but gold is.

In other words, you will become a person of great value and a person who will receive great blessings in the future.

God made David a man of gold.

God made Daniel into a man of gold.

God made Peter into a man of gold.

In this way, God will surely make us into men of gold.

Let's repeat verse 10 and close it.

“But he knows the way I go; and after he has tried me I will come out like gold.”
