Title: John 10:37 - Father's work

Contents

If I do not do my father's works, do not believe me.

Do not believe me unless I do what my Father does.

1. What God is doing

When God created man, he made him to do His work. When God created man, he did not make him to eat and live well in this world. Man is a creature of God. Creatures exist for their Creator. God, the Creator, created each creature with His will. That is why all things glorify God. So are people. God made man to glorify you. However, man dares to forget the meaning of God's creation of man. God has already made known the meaning of creating man from the Garden of Eden. It is God's will for people that He gave us the command to rule and keep it. It is because we disregarded this command of God that we have come to the conclusion that we have no choice but to die. Ignoring the command to rule and keep, I was only interested in the visible, so I became a person who planned and carried out only my own work, not my father's work.

Because Jesus was the Son of God, he revealed himself to be the Son of God. As the Son of God, he told the Jews all the conditions of being a son. He said that the Son of God was sanctified by God and sent by God. Because God made it holy, everything that Jesus did had to be holy. The reason that there was not one thing that was not good in the works that Jesus did is because God made Jesus holy, and Jesus, who was holy, only used His holiness to save people. God sanctified Jesus and sent Him into this world, but Jesus never undermined His holiness in this world. However, people are constantly undermining their holiness even though they have even called them gods just by receiving the word of God. Since God knows all these attributes of a person, He made holiness to be achieved continuously by telling you to be holy as I am holy.

Jesus was able to speak confidently about the Father's work because he never did not do the Father's work. Jesus' actions, whether small deeds or great deeds revealed to all people, were all full of the work of the Father. Jesus was never preoccupied with personal affairs. The world is said to be happy when you do what you love. Because they believe that happiness comes when you do what you love. It is a world where people work hard on things that impress themselves in order to find that happiness because they set the standard of happiness as a job they love. However, they still do not realize that man is a sinner and do not realize that he is easily captive to the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. Jesus didn't do your job or do what you liked. He may have been the most unhappy in his fleshly eyes, but he was filled with grace and truth and was filled with the joy of heaven because he only did the Father's work.

(1) If I do not do the works of my Father,

Jesus said “if” because he had never done the Father’s work in his work. Jesus was not preoccupied with personal affairs. He did not walk according to the lusts of the flesh. You didn't even direct the event to create dramatic emotion or emotion. He didn't even look around the author's streets to be intoxicated with cheap emotions that can be easily bought with just a few pennies. There are countless things in this world that inspire us. Each person is self-sufficient if he considers it a vocation, doing his own thing. I am drunk with the happiness of doing what I love and proudly talk about the desire for achievement, but Jesus has never been immersed in this kind of work. You didn't even try to find fun. Jesus only did the Father's work. The principle that he did not miss in order to do his father's work is to do what he said.

For Jesus, there was no distinction between private and vacant seats. Because Jesus did not need to eat out at all. If it not only distinguishes between private and vacant seats, but also reveals the difference between performing in front of a large number of people and in a place where there are no people, then the person is obviously hypocrites or doing things of darkness. He is a person who does not give up the habit of hidden darkness and lives while being conscious of people. The reason Jesus gave me the clue, “If I saw that I didn’t do my Father’s work,” he could say that because he had never done anything that was not his Father’s work even once while you were here.

(2) If I do not do the works of my Father, do not believe me.

Jesus never caused anyone to stumble. Jesus never caused anyone to stumble because of the discrepancy between his words and his deeds. Jesus always showed the unity of his words and deeds. Jesus knows everyone. He knows people, but he knows them all. Even when Jesus makes accusations against you, he knows what people are accusing against. Because Jesus is such a person, when he said that if I do not do my Father's work, do not believe me, he did not say it out of fear that such an act might happen. He did not speak with the certainty that at least none of those who heard it would find it. Jesus had a strong belief that he did not have to believe in me until he gave a clue of what if, because he did only the work of the Father at any time.

Jesus came into this world to make you believe that you are the Savior. If such an unbelief happens because of you, Jesus did not come to retrieve the lost sheep, but it could lead to more loss of the lost sheep or the loss of the sheep that were not lost. Nevertheless, he said this because he was sure that no one would be offended because of your words. God's word was at the center and focus of all his actions, and he said that he did not have to believe in me because he had acted like that. In fact, Jesus even showed us how to not believe in you. If you hate to believe in Jesus so much, you can find only those things that the Father did not do in Jesus' works. You can search for it through the written Word, or if you are a contemporary, you can find it at that time. And if you can even show the evidence to Jesus, you don't have to believe in Jesus.

2. The heart of God

He wants to be a doer of the Father's work.

God wants His people to do only the Father's work. God created man because he wanted to do only the work of the Father, that is, God's work. However, after being expelled from the Garden of Eden, man does not do God's work and concentrates only on his own work. They enjoy happiness in their work and are looking for a sense of accomplishment and self-esteem in their work. Those who have been saved because of Jesus and who have already entered through the narrow door to enter through the door opened by Jesus, above all, want to become a doer of the Father's work. Knowing that all of the Father's work is recorded in the Word of God, He wants you to be faithful to the task given to you and to be a person who can handle the Father's work as much as you want. No, because he does his Father's work well, he wants him to be a well-doer of the work given to him.

Colossians 1:21 “You who were formerly alienated from your evil deeds and were enemies in your heart”

Our deeds before we believed in Jesus were full of evil deeds. Because of that, he was already an enemy in his heart. Jesus reconciled such a person through the death of His body. The reason Jesus reconciled up to his death was to set before him a reconciled person who is holy, without blemish and without reproach. If those who believe in Jesus remain in the faith, stand firm on the foundation, and do not waver in the hope of the gospel that they have heard, this reconciliation can lead to eternity. Those who do the work to carry on this reconciliation to eternity, who remain in the faith, stand firm on the foundation, and do not waver in the hope of the gospel that they have heard, know that this is the work of the Father, and do only the work of the Father.

3. Who God is

He is the only one who makes his father do his work.

God is the One who makes His people turn away from evil deeds and live in the faith so that they can imitate Jesus and do only His work, so that they can stand firm on the foundation and do not waver in the hope of the Gospel.

4. Traces of Jesus (Confession and Sharing)

(1) The blood of Jesus - What the Father did not do

(2) The life of Jesus - Deciding to do only the work of the Father

5. Prayer

while doing my father's job

I couldn't throw away the work of hidden darkness

A little bit of evil deeds left behind

forgive me

Let me be a doer of the Father's work.

Make me a person who forsakes all evil deeds.

be holy and blameless and blameless

May the reconciliation of the cross continue into eternity.
