Title: John 11:34 - Jesus said,
Contents
He said, "Where did you put him?" He said, "Come, Lord, and see.
"Where have you laid him?" he asked. "Come and see, Lord," they replied.
1. What God is doing
God made Lazarus find the sleeping Lazarus through Jesus.
Even though Jesus knew where he had put him, he asked.
Jesus tried to reveal God through him.
Jesus has always been God-centered. There was never a time when Jesus did or spoke without God in his actions or words. Jesus has always been God-dependent and God-centered. Jesus did His work with the sole purpose of glorifying God. What Jesus was trying to do through Lazarus was also to reveal God. God lives, God raises the dead, and God does these things through His Son Jesus. Jesus knew well that Lazarus was the one called to do this. So, when Jesus heard that Lazarus was ill, he immediately said that this sickness was not a disease to die, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified through it.
(1) He said, "Where did you put him?" He said, "Lord,
Jesus has given you an opportunity to speak even to those who have troubled you.
Jesus gave the opportunity to speak to Mary, the culprit who made His heart grieve and grieved, and even the Jews who sought to comfort her only worldly. But they made me realize that their words were very plain and limited. Jesus wanted Mary to be better because she had previously chosen the good side. However, when Martha heard that Jesus had come, she knew that she would be met soon, but Mary tried to show her discomfort by not moving her heart. Even so, Jesus gave Martha a chance to tell Martha that she was looking for Mary. It was Mary who came to Jesus for that reason, but Mary and the Jews who came with her only made Jesus difficult. Even so, Jesus gave them a chance to speak. Even though Jesus knew better than anyone where Lazarus' tomb was and what his condition was, he gave them the opportunity to tell them.
Jesus gave them the ability to call them Lord.
Jesus even knew whether those who called to Him, saying, “Lord,” were truly calling him “Lord,” or whether it was just a slightly exalted word used mainly at the time. Even so, Jesus not only made it possible for you to speak to those who made you uncomfortable and made it difficult, but also to be able to call you, Lord, so that you could be transformed into the Lord as the Christ, the Son of God who came into the world.
(2) He said, "Where have you put him? Come and see
Jesus could do all things even if He did not come.
Jesus could see everything without seeing it.
Even if Jesus did not come, He could act as if He came, and He could see everything even if He did not see Him. Jesus said to Nicodemus that you will not believe even if you tell him the things of the earth. Jesus said that unless a person is born again of water and the Spirit, he cannot see or enter the kingdom of God. But these things were only earthly works that God was doing, but even these things Nicodemus did not believe. The reason Jesus could not tell Nicodemus even the things of heaven was because no one had ascended to heaven except the Son of Man who came down from heaven. Even though he could see everything without seeing them, he led them to Jesus so that they could see the things of God that they should truly see.
2. The heart of God
He wants you to listen to what Jesus has to say.
God wants His people to listen to what Jesus says.
God wants His people to understand what Jesus is saying and when He speaks, He wants everyone who hears His words to understand. Jesus' spirit was already grieved and pitiful, but he was not faithful only to his feelings. If Jesus had been faithful only to his feelings, he was filled with wrath in his heart, and he would have rebuked and even rebuked him for what he was ashamed of. But Jesus was not faithful to his feelings, and said, “He gave Mary and the Jews a chance as well. After receiving guidance from them while searching for Lazarus' tomb, Jesus wanted to glorify God after they even witnessed the power of Jesus.
Luke 6:26 “Woe to you when all men praise you, for so their fathers did to the false prophets.”
Jesus did not praise everyone.
The world wants everyone to praise. People who have only been told that they did very well since they were young do not realize that they are not only good at what they do when they grow up, so they only praise them. The reason that a thief who was not really good at anything was able to get to paradise with Jesus is because he can't get to the kingdom of heaven just with praise or being really good at it. Jesus was the one who made Mary and the Jews who were with her grieved in their hearts and embarrassed, but did not praise them, and did not focus on their emotions any longer, but even gave them a chance.
3. Who God is
He is the one who makes you listen to the words of Jesus.
God is the One who makes His people listen to what Jesus said, so that they will not be faithful to praise or hurt feelings.
4. Traces of Jesus (Confession and Sharing)
(1) The blood of Jesus - Not being able to listen to what Jesus said
(2) The life of Jesus - The decision to listen to the words of Jesus
5. Prayer
As He said, even though you have focused on those who are sleeping,
I misunderstood him as a dead man and wept only.
I had no more hope
forgive me
He said, Let me hear you when you say
Make me a substitute for feelings with those words
I know that praise alone can't change the world
Let me be a healer of the world with those words.
