Title: John 20

Early in the morning on the first day after the Sabbath, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene saw that the stone had been lifted from the tomb.
They ran to Simon Peter and the other disciple whom Jesus loved and said, "We don't know where someone took him from the tomb and put him."
Peter and the other disciple went out and went to the tomb.
They were running together, but the other disciple ran faster than Peter, and came first to the tomb.
I crouched down and saw the linen cloths laid out, but I did not go in.
Simon Peter also followed and went into the tomb and found a linen cloth lying there.
Also, the towel that was wrapped around his head was not placed with the linen cloth, but was rolled up in another place.
Then the other disciple, who had come first to the tomb, also went in and saw and believed.
They did not know yet what was said in holiness, that he must rise from the dead.
So the two disciples went back to their house.
Mary was standing outside the tomb and weeping.
Two angels in white robes sat where the body of Jesus had been laid, one at the head and the other at the feet.
The angels said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” They said, “I do not know where a man has taken my lord and laid him.
After saying this, he turned and saw Jesus standing, but he did not know that it was Jesus.
Jesus said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping and seeking whom?" Mary knew that he was the gardener, and said, "Lord, if you have moved away, tell me where you have put it, and I will take it."
Jesus said, “Mary,” and Mary turned and said in Hebrew, “Raboni.” This is the teacher.
Jesus said to him, "Do not touch me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go to my brothers and say, I am ascending to my Father and your Father and my God and your God."
Mary Magdalene went and said to the disciples I have seen the Lord, and said the Lord to her:
On the evening of the first day after the public rest, when the doors were closed where the disciples had gathered for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the middle, saying, "Peace be with you.
When he had said this, he showed his hands and side, and the disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord.
Jesus said again, Peace be with you; as the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.
When he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit.
If you forgive anyone's sins, they are forgiven; and whose sins you leave as they are, they remain.
Thomas, who was called Didymus, one of the twelve, was not with him when Jesus came.
Eight days later, when the disciples were in the house again, Thomas was with them, and the doors were shut, but Jesus came and stood in the middle, saying, "Peace be with you."
Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here and see my hands, and reach out your hand and put it in my side. Do not be a believer, but a believer."
Thomas answered and said, My Lord and my God.
Jesus said, "Do you believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and believe."
Jesus performed many other signs in front of his disciples that are not recorded in this book.
But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God.
and that by believing you may have life in his name.
