Title: John 03:9 Spring will surely come
Contents
I happened to read a poem called 'Snow in March' by Carl Hilty in a small booklet.
Winter has passed/ Spring has not yet come/ Searching for life, air, and light/ My heart is about to die/ The earth leads me deep into its old agony/ When I dream of flowers and sing spring/ Newly scattered snowflakes/ Buried in one eye/ A green bud is sprouting./ Lord, I hope that your secret will never come true...
It seems that the most difficult and sad thing for a believer in their life of faith is when they are tried by God. It seems to be quiet, but then one day, a harsh snow and harsh wind that seems to cut through the flesh blew without mercy. At this time, the saints try their best. I try to repent while being embarrassed, give a gift of thanks because I wonder if I have forgotten to give thanks, and sometimes I try hard to dedicate and serve because I think the service was insufficient, and I try hard to evangelize.
Yet, strangely, the ordeal repeats endlessly. Every now and then, I often feel skeptical. Sometimes, the God of love is even resentful. ‘God is love!’ ‘God is a God of goodness!’ ‘Why must he give me such trials!’
One day I found the answer in the Bible. “Jesus answered, Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God might be revealed in him!” Aha! That's right. If there is ongoing, incomprehensible ordeal, it is because God has a clear will that He wants to reveal through me. It would be a mystery that we do not know now. Just believe the word.
If that is the case, then, for me, misfortune is not unhappiness as a result, if that statement is true. Isn't it God's grace? It must be the providence to make me a precious and honorable child who loved me and cared for me.
There was a time when I went on vacation to the house of my brother-in-law who was pastoring in Sinan, Jeollanam-do. I went to the beach and watched the ebb and flow carefully. “Shoot-evil” rushes, “Shoot-evil” rushes… . But when I look at the tide, there is a lot of water flowing in. At low tide, there is a lot of water flowing in the opposite direction. After all, isn't the ebb and flow revealing the bottom?
That's right. Even when we think we are lacking, there are times when we still need trials in God's eyes. There is a special providence that must go through trials.
After winter, at the threshold of spring, sometimes snow falls on the mountain intermittently, but in the end, the full spring comes to the mountain and the back garden, and as the spring energy of life drifts in the whole house, in the end the bitterness of trials passes and the irresistible spring of grace It is God's providence to come. So, don't be discouraged that spring is slow, there is no need to be anxious, spread your wings of faith and spread your wings of prayer, soaring high, and waiting for God quietly until the Garden of God's grace is full.
