Title: John 6:9 - Many People

Contents

There is a child here who has five barley loaves and two fish.

how long will it be

"Here is a boy with five small barley loves and two small fish, but how far will they go

among so many?"

1. What God Does

God made man. When God created man, He wanted to be fruitful and multiply. He wanted to fill the earth and to subdue it. He wanted to have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth. The reason God wanted us to be fruitful and prosperous was because He could supply us according to our needs, no matter how much we grow and prosper in the world that God created. As God the Creator, God is not a person who can't even predict the creatures and speaks rudely. When God spoke about man as a creature, He spoke because He had such power. God is omnipotent. He is the one who can't do anything. On the other hand, humans are finite beings. Far from being omnipotent and omnipotent, he is unable to do anything unless God gives him strength. Nevertheless, people shout out that they can do anything without God, but in reality they are unable to do anything.

Philip answered Jesus' temptation, saying that two hundred denarii of bread would not be enough for each to eat a little. The answer that God wanted and that Jesus wanted was not at this level of answer. Of course, Jesus already knew what Philip was going to answer, but even so, the answer Jesus wanted was not such an answer. Because this is the level of answer that can be answered by not following Jesus, not becoming a disciple of Jesus, not believing in Jesus, even serving idols or worshiping foreign gods, not believing in anything and believing only in oneself. because it wins. With a little formula and a little calculation, it was an answer that anyone could give.

After hearing Philip's answer to Jesus' temptation, Andrew inquired of Jesus. Andrew's weight was better than Philip's answer. Because he knew that the solution of the problem was in Jesus. And yet Andrew inquired of Jesus, but how much would it be for these many? Andrew knew that Jesus had the key to solving the problem, but he could not go any further. It was still tied to numbers. I couldn't stand the pressure of having so many people. Comparing the number of people asked to Jesus with the number of these people, it was impossible to guess at all. It is by no means easy for a person who is a creature to follow the thoughts of Jesus. Jesus already knew the heart of man, and he did not trust anyone, nor did he take any evidence from him, nor did he seek any glory from men. However, those who do not know the speed of people and still try to take evidence from people and take glory from each other cannot even understand what Jesus' question is about.

For Jesus, it doesn't matter if there are more people, not just this many people. Because the focus of Jesus is not on man, but on God. However, those who focused on people and listened only to the voices of the world are bound to catch the eye of these many. Others don't catch my eye at all. Still, Andrew's answer was a step forward compared to Philip's, but further progress in faith was needed. Anyone who knows that Jesus is the solution to the problem and is the key should not only see these people but only Jesus. Andre had to stop asking himself, but he did not lose sight of these many people. No matter how many people there are, no answer comes out. Those who enjoy stability from people and seek answers from people are those who do not yet realize what kind of existence a person is. Man is just a creature. No matter how great a person is, he must eventually die.

(1) Here is a child, but how much does it cost to all these people?

For God, a child and so many people are not comparable to each other. Rather, a child may be worthy of the kingdom of God. These many, or even more, may be nothing in the sight of God. But people still compare the numbers of people. Not only Andrew, but believers also compare the number of people. Comparing the numbers of men is not for entering through the narrow gate, but for favoring the gate that leads to destruction. To enter through the narrow gate, the path is narrow and strait, and few find it. But if you enter through the gate that leads to destruction, the road is wide and there are bound to be many who enter it. Many people sometimes give stability, but you should know that they are the gates that lead to destruction, but you don't want to admit even that, so you compare one child with many people, but in the end, you put the center of gravity on many people.

Jesus said that whatever you did for the little one, you did for me. Jesus also said not to forbid little children to come to you. He said that he left the ninety-nine sheep in the field to find one sheep. It was because he knew well how important a child was. In fact, the power of Jesus can be solved without a single child. No matter how many people come to Jesus, it is Jesus who has the power to solve any problem even without a child. Nevertheless, Jesus wants to use a child to show that God has the power to make even the smallest things great. This is so that even a small child like a child can know that God can use it more preciously than all these people.

(2) I have five barley loaves and two fish, but how much is it for so many?

Jesus is the One who can feed so many people without a single child's five barley loaves and fish. Still, Andrew's progress over Philip was bringing a child to Jesus. Even so, it is these many people that Andrew has to overcome. It was a joy and glory at first that so many people came to Jesus, but it was a burden to feed so many people. Focusing on people always leads to this kind of result. But Jesus did not always focus on man, but only on God. Therefore, the five barley loaves and two fish brought by a child were considered as God's provision and he was able to give thanks.

Jesus did not only see five loaves and two fish. The one Jesus saw was God. Because he saw God in Jesus and doing his work, these many people did not act as a burden. No matter what Jesus did, he could do nothing without seeing what God was doing. He was so dependent on God that he could do nothing on his own. He was not only seen with five barley loaves and two fish, but he depended on God who could feed 5,000 or more with five barley loaves and two fish. Depending on who you depend on, the result is inevitably divided into heaven and earth. Philip relied solely on calculations, and Andrew knew that Jesus had the key to the solution. But because he still depended on people, Jesus depended only on the living and working God.

2. The heart of God

But he wants it to be no more for these many

God wants His people to depend only on you. You don't want to be dependent on people. Jesus was completely dependent on God. They did not take the glory from men, nor did they take glory from one another. No evidence was taken from men, but only from God. Because Jesus was like that, he was able to feed so many people with only five barley loaves and two fish, and still have leftovers. It is because we still lack understanding of people, because we still enjoy a sense of security in people and want to be together with these people, so we choose the door that leads to destruction, and on the other hand, we feel a sense of pressure. He wants you to become a believer, knowing that as long as the one God is with you, it is nothing more to these many people.

Matthew 8:10 ?hen Jesus heard this, he marveled and said to those who followed him, ?ruly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith in any of Israel.??

This is when Jesus entered Capernaum. A centurion came and begged. He said that his servant was paralyzed and was lying at home in great pain. Jesus said that I would go and heal him, but the centurion, Lord, I am not worthy to have you come into my house. Just say the word, and my servant will be healed. When I said to my servant, ?ome,??and he said to my servant, ?o this,??he said, ? have never met such a faith in any of Israel.??He does not want to see so many people, but rather to have faith like this.

3. Who God is

But he is the one who takes it and makes it no more for these many.

God is the One who makes five barley loaves and two fishes brought by a child become more than enough for so many people through Jesus.

4. Traces of Jesus (Confession and Sharing)

(1) The blood of Jesus - Focused only on these many people

(2) The life of Jesus - What we decided to show the progress of our faith in order to become such a faith

5. Prayer

I get jealous when I see so many people

I get scared when I see so many people

Seeing all these people, I felt helpless

forgive me

Let me be the only one who sees Jesus

Look forward to what God will do

I don't feel safe from so many people.

Help me to live with this kind of faith.
