Title: John 8:9 - Hearers
Contents
When we heard this, we were remorseful, and we went out one by one, starting as adults and down to youth.
Only Jesus and the woman standing in the midst were left.
At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left,
with the woman still standing there.
1. What God Does
God gave the word to man so that he might live by this word. There is a difference between the words of God and the words of people and the world. Nevertheless, the Jews abolished the commandments of God through human tradition. They taught men how to worship God in vain by teaching them as precepts. So, a teacher is not just anyone. We must recognize Jesus as the only teacher and learn from only the one Jesus. Only after that, we will not abolish the commandments of God through human tradition, nor will we repeat the folly of teaching as lessons from human commandments. In this world, man's inheritance and man's commandments are scattered here and there. It is a world that makes you think that you are famous when you quote a famous person. There are too many words that make sense in this world among human words. However, when God created man, he made him live by his words, not by his traditions or commandments.
God told Abraham to take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah and offer him there as a burnt offering on a mountain as far as I will show you. Without delay, Abraham got up early in the morning, saddled his donkey, took his two servants and his son Isaac, cut the wood for the burnt offering, and left, and went to the place God had instructed him to go. When they arrived there, Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and put it on his son Isaac, and the two of them went with him, with fire and a sword in his hand. Isaac said to his father Abraham, “My father, there is fire and wood; but where is the lamb for a burnt offering? Abraham told Isaac, son, that God himself would provide for him a lamb for a burnt offering. In fact, later when Abraham lifted up his eyes and looked, there was a ram behind him with its horns hanging from the bushes. Abraham went and took the ram and offered it as a burnt offering in his son's place, and Abraham called the name of the land Jehovah Jireh. Jehovah Jireh means that Jehovah prepares, but he prepares for himself.
(1) When they heard this, they were remorseful, and they went out one by one, starting with adults and reaching young people.
If you listened to Jesus properly, you had to be able to repent that you were a sinner, not just go out. However, because we did not listen to Jesus properly, we only received a remorse of conscience. The reason I started as an adult and went out one by one to the young was because the adults committed more sins and greater sins. None of the young men had sinned. Because everyone is a sinner. The words that Jesus wrote with his fingers on the ground were not enough, and only when he preached those words, he received remorse of conscience, but in reality, he must kneel and repent in order to bear the fruits of repentance. The words of Jesus are the words that save people so much. If you have fully listened to the words of Jesus, you should not only go out after hearing these words, but repent thoroughly and continue to listen so that you can hear more on the spot, so that you can restore the image of God and be filled with the life of God.
The words of Jesus cause remorse in people's consciences, but there are those who do not. There are people who do not care no matter how much they hear Jesus' words. Such people have already been scorched of their conscience. Because there could be such people, Jesus even wrote on the ground with his finger. Because he was scorched by his conscience, he had no sense of guilt, and he was capable of sudden, deviant, and momentary actions, so he even wrote with his finger on the ground again. The words of Jesus do not end with simply receiving a remorse of conscience, but we must listen to these words and become followers of Jesus. We must deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow only Jesus. Otherwise, if you go back with only a remorse of conscience, you will come back as a tempter in order to obtain conditions for accusation from Jesus again.
(2) When they heard these words, they were remorseful, and only Jesus and the woman standing in the midst were left.
God has decided to save people only through His Son, Jesus. If you had decided to use someone else's name or something other than Jesus, Jesus would have kindly told you everything. Jesus is not the one who distorts even the will of God in order to exclusively fulfill the will of God. If Jesus distorted the will of God in order to exclusively do God's will, then Jesus could no longer be the Christ. Because it is not so, Jesus said that only His words are life, and He saved people with these words.
Only Jesus and the woman standing in the midst were left to save the woman standing in the midst. At first, the scribes and Pharisees had come to kill Jesus and the woman who stood in the midst of them. But those who tried to kill Jesus and the woman went out one by one, from the old to the young. This happened because of the words of Jesus. Because of the repeated words written with your finger on the ground. David asked those who refused to accept even these words that their tables become a snare, a trap, a stumbling block, and a reward. We couldn't see our eyes and they even asked us to keep our backs curved. That is why, to this day, God has given us a blind spirit, eyes that cannot see, and ears that cannot hear. Even so, those who believe must have ears to hear these words above all else. We must have open eyes that can see these words every moment of every day.
2. The heart of God
He wants to hear these words and become a person with a remorse of conscience.
God wants His people to hear these words and become remorseful. However, he does not want to remain as a person who turns away from Jesus after receiving only a remorse of conscience. He wants to become a person who has even the word of God inscribed on his conscience because he has heard these words and received a remorse of conscience. He wants us to be those who listen to the word of God that is being heard so that we can engrave the word of God on our conscience. He wants you to use these words as your conscience and to save people with these words. Knowing that what comes out of your mouth comes from your heart, you want your heart to be filled with the good word of God, and what comes out of your mouth will also be filled with the good word of God. He wants you not to become a double or a child of hell by saying things that are appealing to people's ears while talking about the principles and principles of the world, success and leadership.
Matthew 11:4 "Jesus answered and said, Go and tell John what you hear and see."
When Jesus had finished commanding the twelve disciples, John heard what Christ had done in prison and sent them away. It is you, who is to come, or are we waiting for someone else? Jesus answered and said, Go and tell John what you hear and see. John's disciples heard from Jesus. After hearing this, they must go to their teacher, John, who was waiting for death in prison and tell it. He who listens well can communicate well. It is the only thing to be told as it is. Those who have heard human traditions and commandments from the world have no choice but to teach them as lessons. But those who have only heard the words of Jesus become those who only preach the words of Jesus.
3. Who God is
He is the one who hears these words and makes them feel remorseful.
God is the one who not only gets the remorse of his conscience by letting his son hear these words, but also makes them preach these words as they are.
4. Traces of Jesus (Confession and Sharing)
(1) The blood of Jesus - I did not have any remorse for not hearing these words
(2) The life of Jesus - What you have chosen to listen to until you become a preacher of these words
5. Prayer
Even if you only let me hear these words
Hearing man's traditions and commandments
What I was trying to teach as a lesson
forgive me
Hear the word, but let it be heard until it is preached.
Let us not learn from the traditions and commandments of men.
Let your mouth be filled with your words
Help me to become a person who accumulates the word of God in my heart.
