Title: John 9:14 - The Sabbath
Contents
The day that Jesus made the clay to open his eyes was the Sabbath.
Now the day on which Jesus had made the mud and opened the man's eyes was a Sabbath.
1. What God Does
God blessed the Sabbath. God blessed the Sabbath for the sake of man. God is the Creator God, who blesses creation. That's why he doesn't need to bless you. God is himself. Because God is Himself, He can provide everything by Himself. But man does not exist by himself. If you do not receive everything from God, you cannot live even for a moment. There is not a single person who is not provided by God. Nevertheless, people do not want to honor God, so it is said that they are supplied by nature. So they worship nature and even idolize nature. But it is God who made even nature. It is God who made nature natural. Without God's action, nature cannot be natural, nor can it even act as nature. Even though a person cannot breathe even for a moment without God's provision, people do not regard even the blessing that is being supplied from God as a blessing.
The Sabbath, which God has blessed, is a day for man. The Sabbath is a day for man. He who, as a man, spends the Sabbath day as a Sabbath, spends the most fruitful day for himself. The Sabbath is a day for man, but God made it possible to rest only in God. Man is a creature created by God. Only by living with God's provision can we live as human beings. God's provision is innumerable, but we can only be human when we receive not only physical but also spiritual things. Flesh things can be supplied freely even on days other than the Sabbath. Starting with breathing, eating, drinking, wearing, dwelling, and everything a person needs for activity can be supplied even on non-Sabbath days. However, spiritual things can be supplied by focusing on the Sabbath. God has already decided to bless the Sabbath. To be truly blessed by God, one must return to God on the Sabbath and rest. Such a person can improve not only the quality of life, but also the spiritual quality.
As the Lord of the Sabbath, Jesus provides all the food necessary for the Sabbath. Jesus made your flesh your true food and your blood your true drink. Those who eat the flesh of Jesus are those who eat the words of Jesus. Because only the words of Jesus are the true food, the eternal bread, and the bread of life. To drink the blood of Jesus is to drink the grace that comes from the forgiveness of sins. If we say we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves, because the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we are making God a liar, and His word is not in us. We are sinners. He was a sinner, but he was justified by faith. Even so, he is a person who can constantly defile himself with his own sins. That is why we need the grace of Jesus.
Jesus was fully equipped with all these foods and ascended to heaven. That is why he made it possible for anyone to be full of grace and truth like Jesus, as long as they are faithful to the words of Jesus, the Lord of the Sabbath. Jesus was full of grace and truth with the glory of the only begotten Son of God, but he made it possible for those who believe in Jesus to be filled with grace and truth as children of God. Blessed is he who is filled with these things on the Sabbath. However, if you seek the blessings of the world until the Sabbath, and seek the same blessings that the people of the world seek, you are the one who does not understand what the blessings of the Sabbath are even the blessings that God has set in the beginning. God has ordained the blessing of the Sabbath as a separate blessing. You have set it apart as a blessing that cannot be compared with the blessings you normally receive. And all these blessings were ordained for man. Nevertheless, on the Sabbath, people only wish to receive the blessings that the world desires, but they are not preparing for the true blessings. Those who serve Jesus as their master and are faithful to the words that Jesus spoke are those who can receive blessings on the Sabbath.
(1) Jesus was the Sabbath
As the Lord of the Sabbath, Jesus is also the Sabbath. Jesus blesses the Sabbath, but gives life to people. If you go out into the world on a day other than the Sabbath, your spirit will inevitably die. This is because no matter how much you train your body, physical exercise only benefits you slightly. But godliness is beneficial in all things. Moreover, godliness has promises in this life and in the life to come. If you keep the Sabbath as a human being, you can become a godly person. Because of this, you can receive the promise in this life and in the next life. Because this promise is set by God, God does not break it first. It is an absolute promise that God never breaks first unless man breaks it. In order for this promise to become a reality, we must keep it well from the Sabbath. We must keep the Sabbath day, but we must keep it as a Sabbath that we serve well, starting with Jesus, the Lord. Because Jesus is the Sabbath.
Since Jesus is the Lord and it is the Sabbath, to make Jesus the main character is to keep the Sabbath. The Sabbath does not end with just coming to the chapel to worship. The Samaritans worshiped well in Isan. The Israelites regarded worship in Jerusalem as the highest. But Jesus told the Samaritan woman that she would worship God, neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. The worship God is looking for is worship in spirit and truth, that is, in the Spirit and truth. If there is no Holy Spirit in worship, it is not the worship God is looking for. The absence of truth in worship is not the worship God is looking for. The reason God is looking for worship in the Spirit and in truth is because there are so few people who worship in the Spirit and truth. Those who remember the Sabbath and keep it well are those who worship God with the Holy Spirit and truth.
(2) The day he made the clay to open his eyes was a sabbath.
On the Sabbath, Jesus made clay and opened the eyes of those who were blind from birth. The reason Jesus did this on the Sabbath is because the Father also works on the Sabbath. When God the Father created the world, He rested His work of creation, but continued to save people on every Sabbath that followed. God is still working, neither dozing nor slumbering. People misunderstand that only God rests on the Sabbath, but that is not the case. It was only during creation that God rested on the Sabbath. He also rested for people. Although God is a powerful person who can continue to work without ceasing, humans can only live in this world as a holy people when they receive blessings from God.
Even now, Jesus saves lives every Sabbath. He raises the dead and raises the dead who lived and died. Only Jesus can save the body and also the spirit. The day that Jesus made the clay to open his eyes was a Sabbath because the Lord of the Sabbath was Jesus. On the Sabbath, Jesus opens the eyes of those who are born blind, but He also opens the eyes of those who are spiritually blind from birth. Jesus was well aware that opening his eyes on the Sabbath would later be a subject of contention. Nevertheless, Jesus did not open his eyes the next day, but opened his eyes on that day, the Sabbath, because God allowed him to meet those who were blind from birth on the Sabbath. And because God worked on the Sabbath, Jesus also worked. Because God did the work of saving people on the Sabbath, Jesus also did the work of saving people on the Sabbath.
2. The heart of God
He wants to be a life-giver on the Sabbath
God prepared from the beginning to bless man on the Sabbath. Those who walk reverently on the Sabbath have promises in this life and in the life to come. God works even on the Sabbath. Because God works on the Sabbath, Jesus, the Lord, also works on the Sabbath. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth, and where there is truth, He is full even on the Sabbath. The Sabbath is a day when God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are all blessed together, and lives are saved and happy. Those who receive blessings on this Sabbath are truly blessed. The blessings received on days other than the Sabbath can be received freely even by people in the world by doing what they want. However, knowing that the blessings received on the Sabbath are those received when we do the Father's will, He wants us to receive all blessings on the Sabbath, gain life, and enjoy joy.
Mark 2:27 ?쏛nd he said, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath.??
As Jesus was passing through wheat fields on the Sabbath, the disciples cut the heads of grain as they opened the way. The Pharisees said to Jesus, "Why do we do things that are not allowed on the Sabbath?" When explaining the example of David, Jesus said that the Sabbath was made for man. God has not ordained the Sabbath for you, but for man. Even though the Sabbath was set to make people happy, so that they might have life, and live joyfully, the Pharisees did not even recognize Jesus, who came as the Lord of the Sabbath, because they were bound only by the ordinances of the Sabbath rather than this fact.
3. Who God is
You are the giver of life on the Sabbath
God is the One who sets the Sabbath for people and brings them blessings, life, and joy just by obeying the commands of Jesus, the Lord.
4. Traces of Jesus (Confession and Sharing)
(1) The blood of Jesus - What did not do for me on the Sabbath
(2) The life of Jesus - what you chose to do for me on the Sabbath
5. Prayer
Even though I am the Sabbath for my soul and body
Make it a sabbath just for my body
I was just trying to play and have fun
forgive me
May it be the Sabbath of strength in spirit and body.
May the day be blessed by God
May the day be a new life from Jesus.
Make me flow to rivers of living water of the Holy Spirit
