Title: John 9:6 - He Said
Contents
When he had said this, he spit on the ground, made mud, and put it on his eyes.
Having said this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the salvia, and put in on the man's eyes.
1. What God Does
God reveals in advance what He will do through His Word. God sent everyone in this world. The reason God sent all people in this world is because there is no human being who is not a creature of God. However, those who do not recognize that they are God’s creatures even though they are God’s creatures, are born on their own, are looking for ancestors at best, or consider the apes as the beginning of mankind are not those who are doing the work sent by God, but those who are still doing things that oppose God. is. Those who do the work sent by God are not those who do grandiose work. If God had decided to only do great things, great things, or great things, He didn't have to work through people. If God puts people aside and acts directly, he can accomplish in an instant even greater works than all that mankind has ever accomplished. No, even worse than that, He can accomplish in an instant, and He can make it burn to nothing. Nevertheless, God wants to work through man because when he created man, he created it differently from other creatures.
Jesus changed the wrong perception of those who were blind from birth. Some diseases were caused by sin, but those who were born blind were not blind because of their parents or their own sins. Although he was born blind, God made him to be born in order to show the works of God in him. Therefore, it is a wrong attitude to attribute the cause of all diseases only to sin. It is also those who do not fully understand the Word of God who drive all diseases to be caused by demons. In order to change the thinking of the disciples who followed him, Jesus made him know the cause of the man who was blind from birth. So that's what you said. Jesus said that while it was still daytime, we must do the work of him who sent him. Regardless of whether you are blind or not, if you are sent by God, you must do the work of the one who sent you. But he said that we should not do it alone. He said, "As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world." It means that you must do the work of the one who sent you as a child of light while looking at Jesus who is the light.
The words Jesus said were not His own words. It is the word that God has spoken. And because he acted only after he had said these words, the power of those words was revealed. He even followed the power to put these words into practice. When we do what He has told us to do, we can even reach the results that God is with us. Whether or not this is the case can be known well from the beginning of the word. Because they put things other than the Word first, even in the world, they criticize believers for speaking and not doing just like the scribes and Pharisees.
(1) After saying these words, he spit on the ground and made mud
Jesus spoke these words about the cause of the disease, and first said that you must do the work of the one who sent you, and that you are the light of the world. If a person who was blind from birth could have their eyes opened, but could not see Jesus, the light, and could only see the nations under the heavens and their glory, it would be better for the blind person to be just a blind person. If you can't see, there is no sin, but if you see it, you just have a sin. However, if a person who was born blind can see Jesus who is the light when he opens his eyes and can live in this world as a child of light, then he can become one who has eyes of the spirit as well as the eyes of the body. Jesus spit on the ground to make these two eyes bright at the same time. Jesus could only heal with the word. Jesus could have healed a man who was blind from birth even before he met him. Nevertheless, the reason that he spit on the ground and conquered even the mud was to reveal what God was doing.
After saying these words, Jesus even showed the action of spitting on the ground and making the clay out of it. If Jesus had considered deeds more important than words, he would have spit on the ground and conquered the mud without saying anything at all. But Jesus valued the word above all else. However, the reason He spit on the ground and conquered it with mud was because a man who was blind from birth did not yet realize the importance of the Word. However, the centurion, who knew the importance of the word better than anyone else, said only the word to heal his servant. When I said that my servant would be healed in this way, Jesus said that he had never met anyone in Israel with such faith.
(2) After saying these words, he put on his eyes,
If Jesus had opened the eyes of those who were blind only by saying, “Open your eyes to those who were blind,” this blind man would not have realized what the mission of the one who was sent had been. Since you have not yet realized the importance of the Word, if your eyes are opened in this way, you would not have been able to reveal what God is doing. To show what God is doing is not just about the opening of the eyes of those who were blind from birth. If this is the case, it is because there have been many occasions when the eyes of the blind have been opened, but not all of them have shown what God is doing. This is because there was a time when a blind man's eyes were brightened, and even though Jesus warned him to be careful and not to let anyone know, we went out and preached the news of Jesus throughout the land.
Even though Jesus told them to be careful not to let anyone know, those who preached were disobedient to the Word. This is because people think that it is unconditionally good as long as it spreads, but that is not always the case. Paul, too, at first focused on preaching widely here and there, but later focused on teaching and healing. As the time of receiving the call like a drink offering drew nearer, it was more so. Jesus put clay on the eyes of a man who had been blind from birth. By doing this, Jesus made it clear that it was Jesus who opened the eyes of those who were blind from birth. Above all else, he taught me to obey the Word. No matter how strange it may seem, you must learn to obey the Word so that the power of the Word and God's work can be revealed.
2. The heart of God
You want to be the one who starts with these words
God wants His people to be leaders in the word, not the word. He wants us to put the Word first, live by the Word, be healed by the Word, and become those who use the Word to do power. The hypocrites scribes and Pharisees spoke only words because they spoke only good things. But the reason he told them not to imitate their actions was because they did not teach themselves by the Word. It is because he said not to steal, but he robbed himself first, and when he said not to commit adultery, he committed adultery first. Because they distorted the Word with the tradition of their ancestors, not the Word, they prevented them from imitating them. However, if you start with these words, you will be transformed by these words. Through these words, we can restore our form and become full of life.
Matthew 23:3 “Therefore, whatever they say, do and keep it, but do not imitate what they do, for they speak only and do not do.”
When Jesus spoke of the hypocrites, the scribes and Pharisees, therefore, whatever they say, do and obey. What the scribes and Pharisees say do not mean do and keep everything. When you sit in Moses' seat and say only what Moses commanded, it means to do and keep it. However, even if you do not sit in Moses' seat or sit in Moses' seat, if you prioritize the traditions of your ancestors, you do not have to keep even the words. But in any case, he told us not to imitate what we do. This is because everything except the Word has already been degenerated into talking and not doing anything.
3. Who God is
You are the one who makes these words
God is the one who made those who follow Jesus say first that Jesus is the light of the world. He who speaks and does not act is the one who does not conform to imitation.
4. Traces of Jesus (Confession and Sharing)
(1) The blood of Jesus - What was not said from these words
(2) The life of Jesus - What we decided to do from these words
5. Prayer
Even though I made you speak the word, the light of the world
Because I was not living as a child of light
I was afraid to even say these words
forgive me
Let me be a person who puts the word first, not the word.
Help me to keep these words and do them.
Let me be the first to teach
Help me to become a person who manifests the power of the word
