Jonah 2 Lectures 1-4
Jonah flees from God
God pursues Jonah with a storm.
Jonah's will to flee was not successful, but God's will was fulfilled.
The storm was used in that divine providence. God uses nature at will, and man will not be able to reject God's will.
Did Jonah escape from the mission?
God's work is not done with the head.
The heart, not the head, and the power of service, not the heart, are important.
lessons from the storm
(1) Man is powerless, but God is omnipotent.
When God raises his hand, man is powerless. have no choice but to surrender
Paul- He saw a storm in Juragu.
It was said that this voyage would cause a lot of damage not only to the cargo and the ship, but also to our lives, but the centurion believed the words of the captain and the shipowner more. In the end, we met a storm, and Paul's words came true, and Paul didn't lose anything. Rather, Paul was able to achieve his intended purpose through the storm.
must be wise
After losing everything and being blown away, you must not become a door of the Lord's will.
A wise person is not one who sees disaster and moves forward, but one who hides and escapes.
“A prudent person sees a disaster and hides from it, but the foolish one goes on and is harmed” (Proverbs 22:3).
It is not the understanding of the head,
The church must provide spiritual life that is, it must warm the heart and give it strength to move.
The saints should focus on the life of grace.
Do not lead a religious life, but be sensitive to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
