Title: Joseph's Dream Interpretation
Contents
Looking back at Joseph's life, we must remember once again, who does the world revolve around? is to do Many people appear after Joseph was sold to Egypt. Potiphar, the leader of the protesters, the chief of the drinker, the chief of the rice cake, and Baro appear. If you compare Joseph with these people, Joseph is nothing more than a humble Hebrew slave.
From a worldly point of view, it seems that Joseph was there for the chieftain in prison, and Joseph was there for Pharaoh, but the truth is that they existed for Joseph. In other words, we must remember that all the history of the world proceeds centered on the person of faith. Same goes for David and Goliath, for example. In the eyes of the world, the grand and brave Goliath should win, but history revolves around David, who was faithful. Also look at the history of the early church. The world was moved around the people who received the Holy Spirit, not Rome, which ruled the world. Likewise, today, through whom does God lead the world? He leads through you. Through one person who prays, through one person of faith, He leads the family. You lead the way. Also, through the person you believe in, you change the environment, change society and the country, and lead. Whose side is God on? Are you on the side of those who do not believe in Jesus? Are you on the rich side? Or are you on the workers' side? No, it is through Joseph that God is on the side of those who have faith.
There is a word that is repeated three times in today's text (verses 25, 28, 32). What does 'God showed Pharaoh what he was going to do' mean? It means that God is involved in everything in the world. It means that God decides the future. So is our life. Please believe that our life is progressing according to God's clear will, plan, and purpose, not the kind of life where we do not know where we are going, like the lyrics of a popular song. You did not come to this earth by accident. I must believe that I was sent to this earth to fulfill God's clear will and plan for my life.
Also, what we should learn from Joseph's appearance is that Joseph's status was a slave. The opponent is the king. But he didn't get discouraged in the slightest. He did not waver in the face of a golden opportunity that suddenly came. I was not shaken. Rather, Pharaoh clings to Joseph. What we will learn here is that faith has nothing to do with age. Faith has nothing to do with status. Faith has nothing to do with circumstances. Just because you're old doesn't mean you have good faith. Also, the maturation of faith does not happen automatically with the passage of time. In other words, we learn that faith and time are not related.
Pharaoh asked all the magicians and doctors about his dream, but it was not interpreted. so everything
I asked Joseph. I read an article that said something like this. People in the world are going to find people of faith when it is difficult, difficult, and they run into dead ends.
Joseph's interpretation is very easy and simple. So-called, only the core was given in one word. Likewise, God's will as revealed in the Bible is uncomplicated. Simple. For example, 'Love your parents, do not commit adultery, do not get drunk. Seek first his righteousness and his kingdom.' It's simple. But, why do we think the Lord's will is so complicated? What happens to you the more time you take? Human thoughts keep intervening, and I think about all kinds of situations. Then it becomes complicated and it is difficult to understand the will of the Lord. So it makes me even more concerned.
God's will is always simple. Why? Because the Lord's heart is not double-minded. Because they are of one mind. Likewise, husbands and wives should be of one mind. Don't get along with the wrong person. Children and parents must become one. The church must also be of one mind.
Here you can see the difference between Joseph and the Egyptian sorcerers (33-36) Egyptian sorcerers/fortune tellers can fortune, but they cannot change their destiny. However, God is the one who changes our destiny and gives us solutions to our lives.
These days, if you listen to what party spokespersons have to say, they all have one thing in common: primary criticism, but there are no alternatives. People without alternatives, society without alternatives, a very difficult society. Without an alternative, it will only cause problems. But Joseph offered not only an interpretation, but also an alternative. Today's society needs such people. I hope that you will be able to provide alternatives as well.
Joseph offers Pharaoh three alternatives
1) Choose a person with understanding and wisdom to become a leader. There is this saying. There is a saying that people who meet great leaders prosper. Great leaders also grow companies. When you find the right husband, your family will be at peace.
Is Korea a country with good leaders? Isn't it? Some say that the characteristic of Korean politics is that there are no patriots. So we need to pray a lot for our political leaders. The first alternative is to hire someone with understanding and wisdom.
2) It is to collect 1/5 of the tax in a bountiful year.
When I was studying in America, there was a coast next door. Among the formula infants eat, there is 'Enfamil'. This product is preferred by most people, and it is usually fed for 10 days if you buy one can. But one day, one person sweeps away all of the N'Famil powder in Cosco. It's like buying a year's worth at a time. So, on the whole, Bonnie was a Korean, and what was more surprising was that she had been traveling for a while. Probably the only Koreans who travel to buy more than a year's worth of powdered milk at a time. Even if you can afford it, you should always be temperate and thrifty, so it will not be difficult even in times of famine.
3) It tells the awakening to save it well.
Joseph even offered a solution that Pharaoh did not ask for. What we need to learn from this image is that Joseph was not only talented, but also had a good attitude. The characteristics of successful people were never those who only did the work assigned to them. It is characterized by voluntarily doing more work, more hard work, and dedication, rather than just doing what was asked to do. In other words, it is said that attitude is more important than talent.
What does the Lord see? It is not an ability, a gift, or a skill. 'Attitude'.
We also hope that you will be used to the end by always having the right posture in front of God.
