Title: Joshua

Contents Joshua

When you look at a person, you can see trust.

When you look at a person, you see a personality.

If you look at Joshua, you can meet different beliefs and different personalities. Joshua was born in the tribe of Ephraim. My father's and mother's names are not recorded in the Bible, but my father must have been a godly man. The people of Israel are named after their fathers. But looking at the name Joshua, he was a godly man. It means Joshua.

We try to look at Joshua from four aspects: The side view looking at the river gate can also be seen from 5 different angles.

Kang Mun-ho as a husband

Kang Mun-ho as a father

Kang Mun-ho as a son

If you have a good personality, you must like all four of them. Even if one thing is wrong, it cannot be regarded as a good personality.

From now on, we are going to look at Joshua from four perspectives.

1. Joshua as a Attendant

Joshua served Moses. Aaron and Moses were with them when they went up Mount Sinai. He was a man who served Moses so closely.

(Ex 33;8-11)

Originally, Joshua was a servant of God. Perhaps, while working faithfully to God, Moses caught his eye.

(Jos 24:29)

Joshua was a servant to make great people great. Anyone who has served their superiors well becomes a great person.

The same is true of the relationship between Elijah and Elisha. Elisha was a servant to Elijah, the greatest prophet of his time.

King Jehoshaphat told me to recommend a man to work for the country. At that time, one of the servants recommended Elisha and said:

(2 Kings 3:112 Kings 3:11)

He recommended Elisha as someone who could solve this dilemma.

A young woman came to an art gallery to appreciate a painting. From the moment she entered the museum, she was kneeling down to admire the painting.

The museum staff asked me why I was on my knees and struggling to look at the paintings. He replied:

This is the image of a great teacher serving children.

God uses people who know how to serve others. Those who know how to serve are recommended.

Joshua was a servant to Moses.

2. Joshua as successor

Finally, as Moses' successor, Joshua worked for the people of Israel. Now Moses has disappeared from this land. It was Moses' mission up to the Jordan River, and from now on it has become Joshua's mission.

Becoming the heir of a great man is not an easy task. Moses was a great man. He is the one who made Israel. He is a man of Judaism. A person who has fulfilled the commandments. He is the one who fulfilled the law. The person who built the tabernacle.

It was not easy to lead 2 million Israelis after such a great man. So God said to Joshua.

(Joshua 1:5-9)

Legend has it that when Joshua became the leader, the people said.

The Israelites missed Moses so much.

However, once God tries to use him as a man of God, we can see through Moses and Joshua that he is the one who creates authority.

When Moses came to the people of Israel and said that he would save them from Egypt, he followed them unwillingly. Because it was Moses who lived in the palace. But after Moses parted the Red Sea, he believed and followed Moses. The Bible says so.

(Ex 14:31)

But the same is true of Joshua, Moses' successor. When he became Moses' successor, he did not like Joshua at first. However, they parted the Jordan River by faith. It was the flood season and the Jordan River was overflowing. When he was at a loss as to how to cross, Joshua said that if he unconditionally entered the Jordan River, God would separate him. I did as Joshua said. The Jordan River split. After that, the Bible tells the story:

(Jos 3:14)

If you are going to do God's work, you will find that God builds up your authority. He gives you the power to do the job.

Joshua received grace from God and became Moses' successor and inherited the work that Moses had done.

3. Joshua as a Soldier

When Joshua entered the land of Canaan, he became a commander of the army. I had to go to war. It was said that God would give the land, but the land was not empty. 7 tribes were already established and living.

To take possession of the land of Canaan, they had to be killed, expelled, or enslaved. Joshua had to go to war. If one city was taken, another city was taken, and after the city was taken, another city had to be waged and the land had to be taken.

So Joshua's first mission after Moses' succession was war. It is easy to stay still without war, but God's will cannot be accomplished. Being comfortable is not always a good thing.

Joshua always received God's command first when he was in war. He didn't set up his own tactics. The first war was at Jericho. At that time, Jericho was the strongest, oldest, and tallest city on Earth. It was a castle that was difficult to conquer with human strength. But God told them to go around Jericho for 7 days. On the last day, He told them to go around 7 laps. Joshua just obeyed.

On the last day, on the last lap, the walls of Jericho fell down. They fought a war in obedience to God's word, and the Israelites won.

It was Joshua's plan to follow God's command. Faith was the way.

<The maiden scout price up to the age of 25, the discount price up to the age of 28, the bargain price up to the age of 30, and the clearance price up to the age of 30. However, when I receive the Holy Spirit and receive the guidance of God, I will have someone I will love.??At that time, a 32-year-old old virgin heard this sermon and was embarrassed to say a loud Amen. It was a story about a 31-year-old bachelor who really said 'If it weren't for you, I would die' appeared 5 months later and married him for fear that he would die.

Living according to God's will and fighting according to God's command is the secret to victory. Joshua as a soldier was a war that obeyed God's word.

4. Joshua as a Prayer

Joshua was not only an army general who was good at fighting, but he was also a good prayer. He prayed even when he was in war, but when he had a problem, he prayed to God and solved the problem.

For example, after winning the war at Jericho, it happened at the battle of Ai.

The Israelites, who had won the battle of Jericho, seemed to have their morale skyrocketing. The next battle was Ai Castle. We have sent spies to Asii Castle. The results of the spying were reported to Joshua.

?o not let all the people go up, but let only two or three thousand people go up to find the child.??I thought it was too small a castle. A lion does his best even if he catches a mouse.

I was taken aback. So only 3,000 people went up. The war was lost and 36 people were killed. Joshua tore his clothes and fell on his face in front of the ark and wept until evening. There was no answer from God.

?et up, why did you fall down like this? Israel has sinned, and has transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: they took the sacrifices, and stole and defrauded them, and placed them in their wares. Therefore the children of Israel were not able to withstand their enemies, but turned against them before them, for they themselves were a reflection. I will no longer be with you, unless I destroy the reflection from among you. Arise, sanctify the people, and wait for tomorrow. Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel: O Israel, there are things among you, and until you take away the things of reflection from you, your enemies will not stand against you.

In the morning come near by your tribes. The tribes chosen by the LORD will come near by their families. The people chosen by the LORD will come near by their families. The household chosen by the Lord shall come near, every male, and the one who has the sacrificed thing shall be burned with fire, him and all that he possesses. because they have broken the covenant of the LORD, and have done a depraved thing in Israel??(Joshua 7:10-15).

After receiving this answer from God, Joshua knew that some of the people of Israel had sinned against God, and prepared to cast lots the next day. God even taught us how to cast lots.

The representatives of the 12 tribes were gathered and a lot was drawn. The tribe of Judah was chosen.

They cast lots for the tribe of Judah. The tribe of Serah was chosen.

They cast lots for the Seraites alone. The Sabdi family was chosen.

A lot was cast for the Sabdi family. Achan was chosen.

Four lots have pinpointed one culprit out of millions of people. So I solved the problem.

Prayer was the way. Joshua All things that occurred were resolved through prayer.

When prayer and battle are combined, victory is sure to be given. Perhaps the most impressive prayer and battle during Joshua's war was the Battle of Aijalon Valley.

The Israelites who crossed the Jordan River and entered the land of Canaan took the land of Canaan as a starting point and went out as if they were destroyed. It was time to take over the Armory.

The sun was setting as we were in the midst of winning the war. When the sun goes down, war is no longer possible. The Armory, who have re-established their ranks, may attack again when the sun rises tomorrow. Even if the wound is so deep that it cannot attack again, it will run away. Then it will become the root of the flower root forever.

Joshua decided that he had to completely overturn it. So I shouted towards the setting sun.

Then the sun stayed. So the war was completely won.

But Midrash tells us that the day after the war was a Sabbath. So Joshua was thinking about stopping the war because the Sabbath was coming. Because war cannot be waged on the Sabbath. In other words, fighting on Friday day, the sun did not meet Friday night.

Prayer was the answer.

The need was a miracle.

Joshua was a man of prayer.

That's right. Joshua was a man of God. He excelled in four ways.

1. Joshua as a Attendant

2. Joshua as successor

3. Joshua as a Soldier

4. Joshua as a Prayer
