Title: Joy, Joy, and Hope/ 2:25-28

Contents

Henry Ford, who was called America's automobile king, was so poor that he could not even go to public school.

He was brought up in a very poor and poor environment.

When this Henry Ford was young, his mother, who suffered so much, suddenly passed away.

He hurriedly went to see a doctor.

But by the time he ran and came to see the doctor, his mother had already passed away.

He was in great sorrow, resenting the poverty and regretting not having come to see the doctor sooner.

From then on, he devoted himself to the study of how to somehow make something that could run faster than a man, and he built a car.

He later became a billionaire by producing the famous Ford car.

After the couple passed away, he built a memorial to him in 'Detroit'.

'Ford was a dreamer, a man of hope, and his wife a man of faith.'

In today's text, David's heart is joy, his lips are glad, and hope dwells in his flesh.

In other words, David is living in joy, having joy, and living in hope.

As we well know, David never lived a fun and enjoyable life.

The danger of King Saul's death is overtaken many times.

We continue to face the dangers of war.

He also suffers from the loss of his wife.

Even though he suffered so much pain and sorrow, David said, 'There is joy in my heart, and joy in my lips, and hope dwells in my flesh.'

How and what could David have been able to live such a life in the midst of suffering?

David tells the secret in two ways in the text.

In the name of the Lord, I bless you in the name of the Lord that you will learn these two secrets today, this valuable secret to live in joy, joy and hope, through the text of the text, and live in such joy, joy, and hope.

1. First of all, David confesses that it is because he has always had the Lord in front of me.

In verse 25, David says, "David said of him, "I have always seen the Lord before me; he is at my right hand, that I may not be moved."

Here David says that he always saw the Lord in front of him.

To say that I looked to the Lord who was always in front of me like this means that I have always lived with the Lord in front of me.

David was able to transcend all circumstances so that he did not lose the joy of his heart, his lips did not lose his joy, and he was able to live in hope because he always had the Lord in front of him and always saw the Lord.

Also, David's saying that he not only saw the Lord in front of him, but that he always saw him, means that he has always been in constant fellowship with the Lord.

Just as a newly married bride and groom visit their father and mother in the morning and evening to greet them, David always had the Lord in front of him and lived his life discussing with the Lord.

As the king of Israel, even when he sat on the king's throne and ruled the country and the people, he kept the Lord in front of him and discussed matters and always saw the Lord.

Not only that, even when he was driven out of the royal palace by the rebellion of his enemies and hid in a cave, even when he was hungry in the wilderness, he kept the Lord in front of him and always looked to the Lord and had fellowship with him.

That is why David lived with joy, joy, and hope, even when he was on the king's throne and wandering through the wilderness and caves.

Dear saints,

Are we living a life where we have the Lord in front of us today and always see the Lord?

Or do I have the Lord behind me and I am the master and I am living my life as I please?

What we need to know for sure is that there is a huge difference between the lives of those who live with the Lord in front of them and those who live with the Lord behind them.

Like David, those who live with the Lord always in front of them and live in fellowship with the Lord live in joy and hope, but those who live with the Lord in the background have difficulty getting rid of anxiety, anxiety, nervousness and fear instead of joy and hope.

Ex) Mt. Leprosy on the way to school in the old days - Scary stories from day to day - Leading the way with a pencil sharpening knife, fear - Meeting an adult at the top of the mountain - It's comfortable to follow.

If I always have the Lord in front of me, the Lord will keep me at my right hand so that I will not be moved.

That is why David confesses, 'He is at my right hand, so that I may not be moved.'

Psalm 121 says, ? lift up my eyes to the mountains; where will my help come from? My help is with the LORD, who made the heavens and the earth.??If we put God in front of us and see Him always and live, God protects our lives without slumbering or sleeping, so He rescues us from all tribulation and allows us to live in hope.

People who live with God behind them, even if they live in the palace of the ancient Gwangsil, are not satisfied and are always anxious and suffering.

However, even if you live in a three-pyeong thatched house, if you live with God in front of you, you will always be able to live a life of peace, joy and hope.

Ex) Habakkuk Prophet - In Hab 3

Dear saints,

I believe that we, like David, should learn the skills of living with God in front of us and living in joy and hope in fellowship with God.

Instead of being a believer who seeks God only when necessary while serving as the owner, I must become a believer who always has God in front of me and walks with him.

2. Second, David was able to live in joy and hope because he looked at the way of life that the Lord had opened.

In verse 28, ?ou have shown me the way of life, and you will fill me with joy in your presence...??will be

This is the bright path to heaven opened by His death on the cross, bearing all our sins and transgressions.

The Lord became sinless, yet sinful, scourged, beaten, and unspeakably humiliated in order to open the way for us to life.

And in the end, he had to be crucified to death.

God revealed to David the path of this holy life.

As David, who had no joy, looked at this road, joy was unspeakable, and because David, who had no hope, looked forward to victory, he had hope.

This path of life, which the Lord opened up by being nailed to his heart and dying, gives life to those who look at it with faith, gives joy today, and offers hope for tomorrow.

It is said that Alexander the Great gave everything he had to his men before leaving for the Persian expedition.

He gave away all of his property, territory, and treasure.

Then a servant asked.

?ow, what will you buy for the great king???Then Alexander the Great replied:

"I will live only with hope."

Yes.

Those who live with hope for tomorrow do not dwell too much on yesterday or today.

Furthermore, those who live by faith looking at the great hope for the eternal kingdom of God are not too concerned with the things of this world that pass for a while.

That is why those who see the way of life that the Lord has opened can live in joy and hope like this.

Dear saints,

As Ecclesiastes says, there is nothing new under the sun; the eye is not satisfied with seeing, and the ear is not filled with hearing.

Therefore, I pray in the name of the Lord that we will not be deceived by the vain glory of this world, like the foolish rich man, but, like David, have God in front of us and live in joy and hope while looking at the way of living life that the Lord has opened. (garret)
