jesus joy
John 15:10-12
I read a book called “Energy Bus”. A car needs to put in good quality gasoline to show its full performance. Even high-end cars, if you put cheap fake gasoline in it, it will build up the engine and cause the car to fail. So are people. If you put positive energy, you can live a wonderful life, and negative energy will ruin your life. What is positive energy? Faith, hope, love, passion, joy, goal, these things. What is negative energy? Fear, despair, hatred, sloth, melancholy, complaining. This is negative energy that destroys life.
Jesus is the energy bunker. The energy he has is the fuel of a great life. First, pour out all the negative energy within you. And fill yourself with positive energy from Jesus. Jesus joy as my joy and Jesus energy as my energy.
The joy of the Holy Spirit
There is the pleasure of pleasure. Pleasure can be defined as “the satisfaction of desire”. There are the pleasures of social success, the pleasures of making a lot of money, the pleasures of winning the lottery, the pleasures of eating to your heart's content, the pleasures of sexuality, and the pleasures of drinking or drugs.
The joy of Jesus is not the joy of pleasure, but the joy of the Holy Spirit. Luke 10:21 says, “At this time Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit.” It means that Jesus received the Holy Spirit and overflowed with joy. The Holy Spirit is the energy of joy.
The seven deacons of the Early Church were full of the Holy Spirit and faith. They were praised by people. Those who serve Christ with the Holy Spirit are pleasing to God and praised by men (Romans 14:18). The Thessalonian church was a church that rejoiced with the energy of the Holy Spirit (1 Thessalonians 1:6).
George Muller of England was a poor but father of many orphans. When asked what was the secret to being able to do such a great thing, he said, "I can do it every day because my soul finds joy in him. answered. The reason the early church members were ridiculed for being drunk with new wine was because of the joy of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit makes the soul dance like dry grass. The joy of Jesus is the joy of the Holy Spirit. May the joy of Jesus, the joy of the Holy Spirit become my joy.
The joy of victory
The joy of Jesus is the joy of victory. He cured the incurable disease and defeated the disease. The joy of Jesus is the joy of overcoming darkness with righteousness and overcoming darkness with light. It was the joy of overcoming evil spirits with the Holy Spirit. The report of the evangelist who had been sent by Jesus to evangelize and returned was the joy of Jesus.
“The 70 returned with joy and said, “Lord, in your name even the demons are subject to us. Said. Their joy is the joy of victory over demons. Jesus rejoiced, saying, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven” (Luke 10:17-18). Satan tempts and corrupts the saints. I hope you can overcome evil spirits with the power of the Holy Spirit and rejoice.
The Spirit of Jesus is the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit is the Spirit that overcomes. Jesus said, “I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). “He who overcomes will make him a pillar in the temple of my God... and I will write on it the name of the New Jerusalem, which comes down from God, and my name” (Revelation 3:12). Be a warrior. “Victory at any cost, victory at any fear, victory no matter how long and rough the road may be. For without victory there is no survival.” (Churchill)
A community without the Holy Spirit is like a mill without power. You cannot turn a millstone without the power from above. When Samson received the power of God, no one could stand against him, but when he lost his power, he was taken away as a powerless man. “The war between the house of Saul and the house of David was long, and David grew stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul grew weaker and weaker” (2 Samuel 3:1). Because they distanced themselves from God. “David grew stronger and stronger, with the LORD, the God of hosts, with him” (2 Samuel 5:10).
“The army that wins wins and fights. A losing army starts fighting first and then tries to win.” We win and we fight. Jesus overcame it, and God makes us win. Christ triumphed on the cross. When he was hung on the cross, he looked like a loser, but he triumphed through the resurrection. The victory of Jesus is the cross, and the cross is the work of the Holy Spirit. May the joy of victory brought by the Holy Spirit be our joy.
The joy of love
The historian Arnold Toynbee said that there are two desires in love. Both the desire to give and the desire to take away. In love there is unconditional devotion, and there is a desire to take everything and monopolize it. God wants to own us. “You shall have no other gods before me” (Psalm 81:9). We too must have only God.
“As I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love, so I have loved you; and if you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love. ” (verses 10-11)
The joy of Jesus is the joy that comes from keeping God's commandments. If you want to receive the energy of joy, keep the commandments of God. The commandment is love. It is to love God, to love yourself, and to love your neighbor. Just as we rejoice in the love that God loves for his Son, so we find joy in the love the Lord loves us when we abide in Christ. Jesus says these words because we want the joy of Jesus to be our joy. He wants to bring joy to this world.
When Jesus prayed for the saints, he said, “...so that they may have My joy in them to the full” (John 17:13). Joy is an ability. Active vitality. The joy of love is an inner pleasure, a lively heart, a pleasant feeling. True joy is the joy of love.
True joy comes from God. Material or status in the world is not a condition for joy. It is the joy of love, the joy of being in the Lord. This joy is not a fruit that comes from circumstances or circumstances. The joy of love transcends poverty and abundance. They rejoice in prison and rejoice in the palace. This joy is living water that springs from the rock of faith.
People who are not good at smiling contemplatively have many obstacles. You get frustrated and go bankrupt on the path of your life. A person who smiles radiates positive energy. Positive energy flows to the person who smiles. A Chinese proverb says, “One joy scatters a hundred sorrows. There is a saying. One joy of Jesus crushes a thousand sorrows. “When Christianity lacks joy, there is a leak somewhere” (W. A. Billy). You don't know how hard and boring every day without joy is. If your heart is happy, you can walk all day without difficulty, but if your heart is troubled, it is difficult to walk ten miles. Injecting the energy of the Holy Spirit into you will overflow with joy.
“I give this to you so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be full.” Just as God’s joy became Jesus’ joy, Jesus’ joy becomes my joy, and my joy becomes the joy of my family and my neighbor. I hope you stretch out.
