Title: Joy to God/Genesis 39:19-23
Contents
They all rushed to their hometowns and felt the desire to show love and affection.
I took this opportunity to do the filial piety that I had not been able to do all this time, and I bought a gift in my hand and my face was full of joy.
Even though they were portraying their parents who would be happy to be carried on a full bus like a luggage, they were full of life.
Looking at their happy faces, I re-considered the attitude of our Christians to live flowers.
It was meant to bring joy to our Heavenly Father, just as we wanted to bring joy to our mother-in-law.
So this morning, I want to receive grace through Joseph, who lived a life pleasing to God and enjoyed the blessing of being with God.
1. Joseph is faithful in the little things and pleases God.
Our people have often tended to like only the big ones.
If it is possible, it is said that it is a red skirt. Even if the seat, the big seat, the car, the big car, the big house can't afford it, big things, everyone wants big things.
As a result, there has been a growing tendency to neglect the small things as nothing and no big deal.
If it's small, I don't even look at it.
It's about ignoring it.
You will also develop a habit of using it inappropriately.
Small things are considered insignificant.
However, a person who can value small things without thinking about them and neglecting them can also value large things.
People who can put their passion into small things, people who can put their passion into big things can put their passion into big things.
The same goes for work.
A person who is devoted and sincere in small things can work with sincerity in big things.
If a person neglects a small task because it is insignificant, he or she will never be able to take on a big task.
There is a saying in our proverb, "A tree that is ready to grow is known from the cotyledon."
When you see the small things, you can see the big things.
Joseph is loyal to this little thing.
He was not a person who neglected or took things lightly.
He is a person who works with sincerity and sincerity, no matter how small.
By being faithful in this very little thing, Joseph brought joy to God.
At home, he obeyed his parents, and when he was sold to Modimal's house, he was loyal to his slave work.
Verse 22 says, “All the prisoners in that prison were delivered by Joseph’s hand.” I said
This clearly shows how faithful he was even in prison.
Despite being unfairly framed and imprisoned, no one complained, and even in prison, he did not give up his loyalty to that small matter.
That is why God entrusted even the prime minister of Egypt to a great task and used it as a great worker in fulfilling God's great providence.
He was a man who knew that God had sent him wherever he was and was loyal to him.
Like Joseph, we too should not be neglectful of small things and should always be faithful and become God's children who please God.
Those who are faithful in small things believe that they please God.
Please do not take it lightly as a small thing.
When you are faithful in the little things, I hope that you will be entrusted with the big things and that amazing blessings will be with you.
1. Joseph pleased God with his unshakable dreams and desires.
Joseph did not waver as he waited for God's time with the faith that the God whom I inherited would clear up all misunderstandings and make him glorify like the heavenly sun.
He did not lose heart when he became a slave and a prisoner because of his faith in God's promises.
Looking at the dream that God had given, Joseph gave joy to God with his unwavering faith.
Hebrews 11:6 says that without faith it is impossible to please.
He had pleased God with this unshakable faith.
I believe that you and I who listen to this will live a life that pleases God with faith that looks forward to the promise with unwavering faith like Joseph.
In 1 Corinthians 15:58, the Apostle Paul said, "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be strong, not wavering, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord."
If you look to your dreams with unwavering faith and look at the promises of blessings that God has given you, I pray in the name of the Lord that you may become all of you who live and please God.
3. Joseph pleased God with his humility.
He was always humble before God and before men.
He was always obedient without complaining, and he treated everyone with generosity and love.
Whether as a slave or in prison, as Prime Minister, he was always frugal and generous.
God overcame the proud, and God loved and pleased the humble Joseph.
In the name of the Lord, I bless you in the name of the Lord when all of you who always please God with a humble look like Joseph are done.
Lastly, what kind of blessing is there if you please God like this?
It is the blessing that God is with you.
In the text, 2, 21, 23, three times, it is said that because God was with him, he prospered in everything.
Those who please God are blessed with God's presence.
When God is with us, sinners are saved.
When God is with you, things that used to go well will go well.
When God is with us, individuals, families, nations, and the world change.
When God is with us, sorrow-joy, disappointment-comfort, despair-hope, pain-strength, we believe that when power pleases God, God is with us and brings success in all things.
The God who was with Moses and Joshua Joseph I believe that if we please God, He is with us now.
“As I was with Moses, I will be with you. I will never leave you nor forsake you. Be strong, be courageous, and you will make this people inherit the land I swore to their fathers. Therefore, keep and do all the law that Moses my servant commanded you, and do not turn to sin or to blame, so that wherever you go you may prosper. I have commanded you, have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:5-9).
Hallelujah !
The life we live, when we are faithful in little things like Joseph and live humbly with dreams and firstborns, please God and God will be with us.
This blessing should not end with the blessing of Joseph in the Old Testament era, but it should be yours and me.
I pray in the name of the Lord that all of you who have this precious blessing and die may become.
