Title: Joyful Faith

faith that delights
<Psalm 95:1-7>
In Geoje Island, I have a child named Park Jae-wan (currently 15 years old). In 2008, when I was 12, I appeared in stockings and heard that I was a hand-made prodigy. Since the age of 9, Jaewan Park watched his father, who is a chef at a Chinese restaurant, pull noodles out of dough, and played a hand-drawing game for about two years. Then, from the age of 11, he was able to draw hand-made noodles. This child is the son of the owner of a Chinese restaurant, and he likes to cook Chinese food so much that he attended a food cooking academy and got his cooking license.
If someone had asked him to do this, the child would not have become a hand-made prodigy, but a child who was abused for hand-making. However, when Jae-wan saw his father spinning his hand, he liked it. That's why he enjoyed kneading flour and spinning hands whenever he had spare time. As a result, he became a handicraft prodigy.
It is said that even adults find it difficult to make 4-5 servings of dough with wheat flour. It is said that it takes a lot of effort, but a 12-year-old kid can make such a thing because Jae-Wan Park likes it.
When a person likes something, that is what gives him tremendous energy. If you do what you like, you can do it well without too much energy while doing it.
Therefore, children and students of our Hana Vision Church should be aware of this. The important thing is to do what you enjoy doing, no matter what you do, whether it looks good to others or not. Then you can enjoy it for the rest of your life. How sad and unhappy would it be if you couldn't do what you wanted to do and forced yourself to do things you didn't want to do?
Therefore, we ask that children, students, and youth of Hana Vision Church choose a kind of job that they can enjoy without getting bored even if they work for the rest of their lives. So, if you work hard with concentration, you can become a success in that field that is unmatched in that area.
In Ecclesiastes 3:22, Solomon says, “Therefore I have seen that there is nothing better for a man than to be glad in his work, for that is his share.” .
We should apply this principle of living that makes us happy when we live joyfully in our lives. If our children have difficulties in English or math, and yet they want to be good at English and math, then we should apply these principles of life. You will have to brainwash your own brain. That is, you have to give your brain a hint to like English, or to like and love math.
Conversely, some things require moderation so that they don't get better. For example, you have to restrain yourself so that you don't like computer games too much. Of course, if your future goal is to be a pro gamer, then if you don't, it's not good for you to like computer games too much. Some people become addicted to gaming and die of a heart attack after playing the game for several nights. You shouldn't be addicted to things that aren't very helpful and like them, and you shouldn't die a dog death while putting your energy into it.
Also, you shouldn't enjoy gambling. You should be even more careful with boring gambling that doesn't cost a lot of money. Because now you can gamble without money, but someday when you have money, you can become a gambler addict.
Or you shouldn't enjoy drinking alcohol. Because there are many people who ruin their health and their homes because of alcohol. In addition, tobacco and lewd behavior are the same. So is the enjoyment of verbal harassment or violence against third parties. Be careful not to let these things become your pleasure.
If it is unavoidable and ought to be done, then we should be people who enjoy it.
For example, if you are going to eat rice, you should eat it happily, there is no need to fight while eating rice. And if you have to study, you have to enjoy studying, and you don't have to hate it when you pay money to study. We should have fun studying because studying will help us in life.
So are people. If you can't avoid it, you'll have to try to like it. If you are a human being that cannot be avoided anyway, there is no need to try to avoid meeting them. You should enjoy meeting that person. Your parents, brothers, and relatives are like that. Because we are of the same bloodline, we cannot help but meet each other someday. In particular, families have to meet in the same house every day. We can be happy when we enjoy each other. Therefore, you should not make your life a hell by making one small thing as an enemy.
So are the clergy. Even family members and relatives cannot live forever if they have different beliefs. Someday, we will have to say goodbye forever. However, the same Christians must go to eternal heaven and meet and live forever. But what would happen if you didn't say anything about one small thing and lived like an enemy for the rest of your life? There may be cases where you cannot enter heaven because of people you hate.
We must remember that the first conditions for a person to enter the kingdom of heaven are faith and love.
In particular, we cannot avoid God.
In today's text, Psalm 95:5-7, God made the sea, he made the dry land, and he also made us, because he is the sheep of God who takes care of us. Our lives are creatures living in the hands of God. Therefore, our lives cannot escape from God's hand no matter how hard we try. I know I can live my life the way I want, but I don't. That does not mean that God hates our lives, redeems us and stirs them up.
How much does God love us? He gave his only begotten Son as a sacrifice for us. How good is Jesus? He is the one who generously gave his life for us.
He is the one who helps us rejoice, rejoice, and successfully live in the world even in life, and he helps us to live happily ever after in the eternal kingdom of God. Therefore, He is a God who has sufficient conditions for us to rejoice.
We must not harden our hearts before the word of God.
I hope you don't rejoice in persisting and disobeying. Therefore, the author of Psalm 95 says, “If you hear his voice today, do not harden your hearts as you did at Meribah, and as you did at Massa in the wilderness” (95:7-8). is to do
The Israelites had seen and knew all the miracles of God, but they did not trust God. Because of disobedience in everything, they were destroyed in the wilderness without ever entering the land of Canaan.
We must not be goats. must be a quantity. Therefore, we should not become irritated when we hear God's word, but we should obey God's word with joy. Like sheep, we must rejoice and obey the word of God.
I hope you enjoy coming to church.
Worshiping, singing, praying, evangelizing, reading the Word, learning the Word, I hope you like it, not hate it. ◎
