◎ Sermon Title: Jubaragi
==================================================== ======================================
In this sense, Christians have been given the title 'Juvagi', which means that they are those who only look to the Lord and live.
Let's share the grace while thinking about why Christians are Jubagi together.
Verse 1 of the text says, “My soul, be still, and hope only in God!” In verse 5, it says, “My soul, be still and hope in God.”
"Look only at God" means 'Look only at the Lord.' It has the meaning of 'rely on the Lord alone' or 'rely on the Lord alone'.
When I was young, I went to church, so what adults say is, do you get something to eat or something to wear when you go to church? As you said, you screamed. In fact, there was a time when I was tired of working from home, so I went to church diligently.
Even now, people who don't believe say this and see the church as a place where they give money and give nothing to life.
But as you get to know it, it becomes clear that everything you need in life is provided through the Church. Because the church is the body of the Lord and the temple of God.
Looking at the text;
1. It is said that salvation and hope come from the Lord.(1,5)
Man is the object of salvation. If we are not saved, we will lead to eternal destruction.
Hebrews 9:27 says, "It is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment." But John 3:18 says, "He who believes in him will not be condemned, but he who does not believe is already judged because he does not believe in the name of the only begotten Son of God."
John 3:16-17 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but because of him. that the world might be saved."
That's right. Salvation can only come from the Lord. Jubaragi are people who have been saved.
And hope comes from the Lord. Everyone lives with hope, and no one is without hope. In other words, no one lives without hope for tomorrow! But true hope, eternal hope, comes only from the Lord.
It's a well-known story, but as Haru-sal and Cicada were playing together and parting in the evening, Cicada said to Haru-sal, "Let's meet tomorrow," and Haru-sal said, "What is tomorrow?" and tilted her head. A ephemera has no hope for tomorrow. Cicada is playing with the frog again, and when the summer is over and the cold wind blows, the frog asks the cicadas, "Let's meet again next year," and the cicada tilts her head, saying, "What! What's next?" Cicada has no hope for next year. A Christian and an unbeliever live together, and at dusk the Christian says, "See you again in heaven," and the unbeliever says, "What! What is Heaven?" and shakes his head. There is no hope for heaven, that is, eternal hope for non-believers.
That's right. A person should have hope, and that hope should be an eternal hope, not a temporary hope in the world, and that eternal hope comes only from the Lord. Without the Lord, there is no eternal hope, so the end is very lonely.
Only through the Lord can true hope and eternal hope come out. Jubaragi are people with hope.
2. Only the Lord can provide a strong background in life.
Verse 2 "You alone are my rock, my salvation, my fortress, I will not be shaken."
Verses 6-7 "You alone are my rock, my salvation, my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my glory belong to God; the rock of my strength and my refuge."
"My rock" means that the Lord is my strong foundation and gives me stability in life, "my salvation" means deliverance from crisis, and "my fortress and refuge" means the most secure protection.
Who keeps us safe, protects and guides us? Not your parents, not even yourself, not the power, not the money, not the pastor, only the Lord. Now believe that we are in the Lord's protection and guidance. Don't get me wrong that I'm taking good care of myself.
3. All power and love belong to the Lord.
Verse 11 "I have heard what God has said twice, saying, "The power belongs to God." All power belongs to the Lord. He creates the heavens and the earth with His power and governs them with His power. Don't try to do anything, just trust in the Lord. Amazing powers appear.
Verse 12, “Lord, kindness belongs to you.” Here kindness refers to unfailing love.
Then what kind of life should Jubaragi's life be?
1. Always rely on the Lord and pour out your heart before him.
Verse 8 says, “People, trust in him from time to time and pour out your heart before him.” Shishiro is always. The Lord alone has everything I need in my life, so please pour out your heart. Please give me everything you have inside. Everything will be resolved.
2. We must not wish for people (people) and hope for money (materials).
Verse 9 says, “Alas, man is breath, and life is deceit. When it is weighed on scales, it is lighter than breath.” It refers to the weakness of life. If you weigh your life on a scale and it is lighter than your breath, it means that your life is nothing in the sight of God.
Psalm 146:3-4 "Do not trust in a strong man, nor in a man who is unable to save. A man loses his breath and returns to dust, and in that very day all his plans are destroyed. Manda."
1 Peter 1:24 “All flesh is like grass, and all its glory is like the flowers of the field.” Therefore, there is no hope for Inbaragi who lives by looking at people.
And verse 10 says, “Do not rely on violence, do not be vain with robbery, and do not set your heart on riches when they increase.”
When a person's wealth increases, he knows how to protect them and rely on them. In other words, it becomes a money bar. But when Jesus hears the parable of the foolish rich man, he knows how foolish the money maker is. When there was a rich man and his produce became very large, he built up more warehouses and filled them up, saying to himself, "My soul, I have many things stored up for many years, so rest, eat, drink, and be merry." Then God said to him, "You fool, tonight your soul will be retrieved, and whose will your preparations be?" (Luke 12:16-20) At this point, Jesus said, "So is the one who lays up wealth for himself, but is not rich toward God." So, even though he has accumulated many wealth, Jesus says that he should be a lord. .
There are some Christians who switch from Jubaragi to Inbaragi to Donbaragi.
Dear saints, Christians are not seeking for humanity or for money (materials), but rather for the Lord to live. Reasons enough to look at the Lord and live! There is!
