Judas Iscariot: Disciple who betrayed Jesus
1.Called Judas Iscariot
Simon the Canaanite and Judas Iscariot, who sold Jesus (Matthew 10:4).
2. Jesus Named Him the Devil
Jesus answered, "Did I not choose you twelve? But one of you is a devil." These words were referring to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot. ).
3. In charge of the money box
1) One of the disciples, Judas Iscariot, who was going to arrest Jesus, said, "Why didn't you sell this perfume for three hundred denarii and give it to the poor?" He said this, not because he was thinking of the poor, but because he was a thief. To steal (John 12:4-6).
2) Some thought that Judas was in charge of the money box, so he said to buy things for the feast or to give something to the poor (John 13:29).
4. Blaming Mary for pouring perfume on Jesus
Mary took a very expensive perfume, a pound of pure nard, poured it on Jesus' feet, and washed his feet with her hair, and the house was filled with the smell of perfume. So he sold it for three hundred denarii and gave it to the poor.” I did not say this because he was thinking of the poor, but because he was a thief and had the money box and stole what was put there (John 12:3-6).
5. Possessed by the Devil
The devil had already put the idea of selling Jesus into the heart of Simon's son Judas Iscariot (John 13:2).
6. Called the Son of Perdition
When I was with them, I preserved them and kept them in your name, which you gave me. Not one of them perishes, but only the children of perdition, so that the scriptures are fulfilled (John 17:12).
7. Negotiate to sell Jesus
Then one of the twelve, named Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, “How much do you want me to give Jesus over to you?” They gave him thirty pieces of silver, and from that time on he looked for an opportunity to hand him over (Matthew 26). :14-16).

11. He repented of selling Jesus and brought back the thirty pieces of silver.
When Judas, who had betrayed Jesus, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself and brought the thirty pieces of silver back to the chief priests and elders, saying, "I have sinned by betraying innocent blood." They said, "What does that have to do with us? Be it to them (Matthew 27:3-4).
12. Facing a tragic death
1) Judas threw the silver into the sanctuary, and withdrew, and hung himself to death (Matthew 27:5).
2) After this man bought a field with the wages of unrighteousness, his body collapsed and his stomach burst and all his intestines came out (Acts 1:18).
13. The thirty pieces of silver that Judas received were used to buy the potter's field.
1) And I said to them, "If you like it, give me my price, and if it doesn't, don't. Then they gave me thirty pieces of silver, and they made it my price." The LORD said to me, "Throw the price that they have calculated for me, and throw it to the potter." He threw the thirty pieces of silver at the potter in the house of the Lord (Zechariah 11:12-13).
2) The chief priests gathered the silver and said, "This is the price of blood, so it is not right to put it in the temple vault." After discussing it, they bought a potter's field and used it as a cemetery for strangers. 6-8).
14. Matthias becomes an apostle instead
1) He urges others to take his office (Psalm 109:8).
2) It is written in the psalms, “Let his dwelling place be desolate, and let no one dwell in it.” And he said, “Let someone else take his office.” ... Matthias was obtained by lot, and he joined the number of the eleven apostles. Acts 1:20,26).
