Title: Judgment and Protection (Revelation 11:1-2)
Contents 1. The apostle John was exiled on the island of Patmos because he believed in God. To be more precise, he had to be persecuted because he became a man of Jesus.
2. It seems common sense that God protects them especially so that not only one hair on their head is damaged, but also that they will not suffer at all. However, this is not always the case. They suffered more and sacrificed.
3. But God sees the patience of the saints. So, to John who passed through patience, God showed the secret of the future like this, and it was the promise of God's unchanging love and protection.
4. God judges the world, but he will always protect the chosen ones. Let's not forget that we have this promise of protection.
I. Measure the inside of the temple (1).
A. cane-like reeds
1. John was given a reed, and the reed was about 3m tall. The temple in Jerusalem was destroyed. So, the hope of the Israelites is to rebuild the destroyed temple. But they cannot do that. Because there is a temple there.
3. The general view is that the church has already been raptured by the time chapter 11 is reached. Those who remain on this earth are those who have missed salvation.
