I introduced Josephus yesterday, an Israeli historian at the same time as the Apostle John, who wrote the ancient history of Judea. Most of his books are thought to be very valuable in that they were written at about the same time as the New Testament.
In his book, Jewish Antiquities 18:3:3, we see that he writes about Jesus this way: Just a short time ago, there lived a man named Jesus, who could be called a wise man if he had to call him a man. It is very interesting that Josephus, a strict Pharisee Jew, who threw off the protection of Rome and wrote ancient Jewish history for his own people, left these records. And this book was written at about the same time as the Gospel of John (90s).
However, the Apostle John testifies that Jesus is the Messiah in a way that is incomparable to Josephus.
1. He is a priest: Now the priests are slaughtering the Passover lamb. They are in charge of the Passover for the people of Israel.
But right now, Jesus is preparing for the true Passover feast. He is being caught and killed as the Passover lamb himself. Soon he will sacrifice himself to become a priest and offer sacrifices to God for the sins of all the people.
Jesus took charge of the Passover and offered perfect sacrifices to become the great eternal high priest.
John testifies of it again: it is the liberation of Barabbas, the robber and sinner.
Mishna: It is necessary to slaughter the Passover lamb for the one they promised to release from prison.
Yes: As evidenced many times through Pilate's mouth, the innocent Son of God becomes the Passover lamb and is caught and killed in order to release the filthy robber, Barabbas.
Gentlemen, do you believe that the reason Jesus suffered, was captured and killed that day was to set me and you, filthy and wicked sinners, from the law of death and sin?
Dear saints, do you believe that we have a high priest who knows all our faults, weaknesses, and desires? He will take care of me and your sufferings.
2. He is a prophet.
A prophet was a mediator who spoke the word of truth that proceeded from the mouth of God.

Do you believe that all the words that came out of the mouth of Jesus are the truth? I pray that you believe that you belong to Jesus.
You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.
May the truth set you free from all fear, from the greed of the world, from all sickness and anxieties.
3. He is the king of kings.

It is true that it was not Pilate, nor a Jew, but Jesus Himself who suffered as proudly as a great mountain and suffered like a great king, who controlled all these trials of suffering from beginning to end.
Do you believe that we have a king like this? He will come again on a cloud and set himself before the whole world, and will begin a dreadful trial. I pray that you will be completely saved on that day.
He is still alive today, and he is the king who governs all our affairs according to his will and guides us only in the good way.
