Acts 2:42-47 / Title: Kingdom of God Family Community
In the early church, the Word education and prayer life through the apostles were carried out right away, and love for neighbors within the church was practiced. All of these things became the driving force behind the revival of the church. As a result of Peter's sermon on the Day of Pentecost, 3,000 people repented and were baptized, eventually becoming the church, the New Testament chosen people's community.
First, it was a family community devoted to prayer and a godly life in the Word and teaching (verse 42). In other words, they gathered in the temple every day to receive the apostles' teachings and to live a life of faith. Such a godly life became the driving force that enabled the believers to stand firm in the faith without wavering in the midst of persecution and persecution and to focus solely on spreading the gospel.
Second, it was a community sharing love (verses 44, 45). The early church members faithfully lived the life of stewardship for the good of the community. This was a practice that was made entirely by the voluntary decision of the Jerusalem church members who received God's grace to serve, and it was an outward expression of love for becoming one body of Christ.
Third, it was a community that shared fellowship (verse 46). Everyone broke bread and ate without discrimination, so they shared fellowship with the awareness that they were all brothers in the Lord. Also, through the sacramental ceremony to commemorate the suffering and death of Jesus on the cross, they lived a life of thinking and participating in the suffering of Jesus Christ.
Fourth, it was a community recognized by God and man (verse 47).
The God-centered life of faith and the beautiful image of the early church members practicing love served as a light to unbelievers, and for this reason, they received praise from many people. This exemplary life led to the explosive revival of the early church, and here we learn the life of faith and principles of the Kingdom Family community along with the original model of the true church.
Dear Families of Nations! By experiencing the transcendent God through a large group festival worship in front of Jesus Christ, who poured out the Holy Spirit and made us one with the Holy Spirit, we experience the immanent God who responds to our groans through the spiritual family, cell family, and community. Blessed is the Church of the Nations as the glorious Church of the Lord that awakens the age, saves the churches, and changes the region, nation, and nations of the world.
