Title: Knowing and Trusting God (Isaiah 42:8)
Contents
Knowing and believing in God (Isaiah 42:8)
Earlier, behind the pulpit of D L. Moody Church in Chicago, “God loves you. (God love you)” was hung on it, and it was said that it was always lit with a gas fire. A heinous sinner, passing through the street, peering into the chapel, saw the three letters and scolded them, saying, "God does not love a rotten man like me." And passed the street.
The text of the text (Isaiah 42:8) says, “I am the Lord, and this is my name; I will not give my glory to others, and my praise to idols.”
The purpose of life is to know God (Proverbs 1:7) and to glorify God (1 Corinthians 10:31).
1. Is there one God we believe in??? (Father, Son, Holy Spirit = Trinity)
1) God Himself did not acknowledge other gods (Deuteronomy 4:39-40; Jos 2:11; Matt 28:19).
2) It means the absoluteness of God (Isaiah 40:25).
3) Jesus acknowledged only one God (Mark 12:29).
Jesus testified of God.
1) When Jesus prayed, He called on God.
Matthew 6:9 Our Father in heaven!
2) Jesus said he came from God.
John 8:42 For I come from God.
3) Jesus said that we can see God.
John 14:9 He who has seen me has seen the Father (God).
4) Jesus asked God.
Luke 23:46 Father (God), into your hands I commit my soul. Therefore, I hope that you do not easily conclude that you cannot believe what your eyes cannot see, and do not become foolish people who say, “You must believe in God only with your eyes.
The Bible (Psalm 14:1) says, “The fool says in his heart, There is no God.”
What about the atheists who say “there is no God” here???
1) We fall into nihilism (Romans 1:28-32).
2) They fall into violent communism (Psalm 14:1).
3) Fall into the theory of evolution that destroys human dignity (Romans 1:21-25).
4) You will be punished in hell forever (Revelation 20:11-15).
I pray that you will become a person who has faith that God exists. Amen.
2. Who is the God we believe in??? (Luke 15:11-32)
1) He is God the Father with infinite love and power (1 John 4:10; Psalm 147:5; Dan 6:26-27). With an antecedent and eternal love...
2) He is a patient God the Father (2 Peter 3:9).
He does not perish, but endures until all repent.
3) It is God the Father who forgives (Isaiah 1:18). He forgives us even if our sins are scarlet and crimson.
4) God the Father who gives (Matthew 7:11; Luke 15:22-23; Psalm 103:5).
Even evil gives good things.
5) God the Father who lives forever (Isaiah 57:15; Heb 9:14; Heb 10:31).
3. What are the absolute attributes of God that we believe in???
1) Eternal self-existence (Exodus 3:14; Ps. 33:11; Ps. 115:3; Dan 4:35; John 5:26; Rom. 11:33).
He exists without source, cause, or cooperation (YHWH), and He exists forever, without beginning or end. (Exodus 3:14) “I am who I am”, (Psalm 92:8) “You are exalted forever, O LORD”, (Psalm 115:3) “But our God is in heaven and has done all that He wants.” .
2) It is eternal and immutable (Matthew 24:35; Hebrews 1:12; James 1:17; Psalm 102:26-27).
I believe that God, who has not changed in the age of change, does not change even his true form and decreed will.
3) It is an infinite city (Job 37:23; 1 Kings 8:27).
All other creatures are finite and can measure their length, breadth, depth, height, and quantity. That is why God is infinite, beyond measure, how much He is.
4) It is omnipresent (Psalm 139:8-10; Jeremiah 23:23-24).
The word omnipresence literally means “there is no place that does not exist,” that is, God is everywhere.
5) It is omnipotent (1 Chronicles 28:9; Matthew 10:30; Matthew 11:27; 1 Corinthians 2:11; Genesis 17:1; Exodus 6:3; Psalm 139:1-6).
There is nothing that the God we trust and rely on does not know. That is, you know everything. God knows everything (present, past, future) = (Isa 46:10). To God, all things are possible.

In the old days, a man named Jeon Jeon-ryong, the head of Baek Baek-gyo, had many wives and lived luxuriously like a monarch, and when he offended him, he killed his concubines and even killed his priests. After he was arrested and executed, in the basement of his house, 48 bodies were found. How many people must have been killed? His skull is still kept at the National Forensic Research Institute, and it is said that the purpose is to study it as a specimen of a criminal skull. False religions and those who do not know and deny God will not escape God's judgment and will all perish.
A person who believed in Jesus and held the office of an elder for decades denied God and passed away.
How about you? I pray that you will go to heaven by believing in Jesus, receiving salvation, knowing God rightly and securing the salvation of eternal life. Amen.
Together we know and believe in God. - Shalom -.
