Title [2010] Land of Freedom

Contents

( 1 Samuel 19:18-24 )

Nothing in life is more precious to an individual than health, and nothing is more precious to a nation than freedom, which is sovereignty. In the humiliation of the annexation of Korea in 1909, our nation has been under Japanese rule for 36 years. At this time, many people, including First Lady Gwan-sun Yu, Martyr Lee Jun, and Doctor Ahn Jung-geun, gave their precious lives to achieve independence. A nation's freedom is more precious than an individual's life. Have a heart to love your country. Renew the preciousness of freedom. This year marks the 65th anniversary of liberation. At that time, the teenagers who hurrahed for liberation are over 80, and the younger generation is now 90-100 years old. Those in their 20s and 60s, who are the main pillars of this era, do not even know what liberation or freedom is.

The Bible says something really important. “Remember the old days” (Deuteronomy 32:7). So, according to God’s word, the nation of Israel recorded and remembered everything from Adam to Noah (10th generation) to Abraham (20th generation), the migration to Egypt, slavery, I remember the Exodus. At that time in 1446 B.C., Jews keep the Passover feast set by God in the days of Jesus and even now 2,000 years have passed.

In today's text, we see that King Saul almost killed him, and after running away countless times, he was exhausted and exhausted, and he hid in Ramanaioth, the hometown of the prophet Samuel, who prophesied that David would anoint him as king of Israel . King Saul sends men three times to try to arrest David. King Saul sends a messenger to order David to be captured. When those who had received the king's command came to Ramanaioth and saw the prophet Samuel, the Spirit of God came upon them and prophesied, and they could neither arrest David nor return home. King Saul sent other messengers, but they also prophesy and sit down. So King Saul went personally, but he also prophesied and was moved by the Spirit of God, and he was unable to do anything to David. Why did this happen?

First, because the land had David, whom God had anointed. The anointing signifies the sanctification of God. Oil is extracted from the fruit of olives, and when it is harvested, the fruit is picked and squeezed. It is squeezed 4 times, and the first salted oil is used as the oil for the lamp in the temple of God and the oil to be mixed with the meal offering. The second salty oil is used for food. The third salty oil is used as a household lamp oil, as a cosmetic and pharmaceutical ingredient. The fourth salty oil was used to make soap by mixing couture water. The best oil is used for anointing, but God commanded Samuel to anoint David, so God worked in Ramanaioth to protect David. In the name of Jesus, I pray that you will keep the weak from harming you with the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Second, because the land had the prophet Samuel. Verse 20 “When the soldiers who came to arrest David saw the prophet Samuel, the Spirit of God gave them prophecy.” Samuel is the son of his mother Hannah through prayer. He has been a Nazarite all his life. In a word, he was the Son of God, filled with the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God.

Third, the land was consecrated by the Spirit of God. King Saul, who took the murderous intent, was also subdued. Recently, North Korea has been talking about war with South Korea, and it is trying to create fighting in North Korea every day. They are being dragged away while talking about the Sunshine Policy, saying that they have to please North Korea. The past governments provided about 8 trillion won in aid to North Korea without the consent of the people, and they developed nuclear weapons and increased their military capabilities. We must pray for the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, to work strongly on this earth. If this nation only serves God well, God will protect it. No matter how much King Saul led the soldiers to Ramanaioth, he could not arrest David because the Spirit of God did not allow him. Although Israel is a small land, it has become a holy land because Jesus was born and worked. If Israel became a holy land through Jesus, Korea, like Ramanaioth, should become a land of spiritual freedom through the Holy Spirit of God sent by Jesus.

Lord! Give this land spiritual freedom! May this land become Ramanaioth!
