Sermons for Preaching

Title: Last Greetings (Hebrews 13:18-25)

Contents The author of Hebrews now closes his letter to the scattered Jews.

And finally, I ask you to do three things.

First, we ask you to pray for yourself (verses 18-19).

It is not known exactly who the author of the book of Hebrews is. When you look at the words of verse 23, you can think that it might be the Apostle Paul, but we don't know for sure. In any case, from the content of the entire book of Hebrews, the author must have had a great influence on many people spiritually. Such a person is asking for prayers to the people whom he sometimes rebuked and sometimes gave admonition to. We should not be stingy about asking others to pray. Asking for prayer for one's difficult circumstances and God's guidance is a very positive thing, and it is meaningful in many ways. The person who received the prayer request can come closer to God while praying for the other person, and spiritual fellowship can be established with the person who requested the prayer. In addition, the effect of intercession is truly remarkable because they can experience the power of intercession with each other. Do not hesitate to share your prayer requests with spiritual people.

The second is to live a life that fulfills the will of God. (verses 20-21)

God makes each person perfect, fulfilling God's will in their lives, and admonishing them to live a life that brings joy and joy to God. We often live our life of faith in order to achieve our own will, to become joy and joy to ourselves. We must not forget that God made us sanctified by the blood of Jesus Christ in order to give up his will and live according to God's will. We should be able to live a life that is pleasing to God, not for our own joy and pleasure. In the new year 2011, God's will will be done through me, and I hope that it will be a year that God is pleased with.

The third is to accept the words of various counsels well. (verses 22-24)

At times the author struggled to explain difficult doctrines to his readers, at times with harsh warnings, at other times with harsh reproofs. But all of that was done because they desperately needed it. People have a desire to hear only the words they want to hear, words that are beneficial to them and not burdensome to hear. However, the word of God should not be taken that way. Sometimes it hurts, sometimes it's embarrassing, sometimes it hurts, but you have to keep in mind that it's all because I need it the most. I hope that when God speaks to me through a spiritual leader, I can humbly accept it in my heart.

Year 2010! I bless all of you who have worked hard and did your best in faith.

I earnestly pray that God will fill your family and all that you do in the new year 2011 with overflowing grace.

Happy New Year!
