“I will receive you and will be fathers to you, and you will be children to me” (2 Corinthians 6:18).
Dear brothers and sisters, let's take a closer look at the contents of today's text while looking at the picture above. It is difficult, but the Holy Spirit will help you.
First, if you look at the first line of the picture, you will see the words “The Kingdom of God established by God”. God chose some of the fallen people and redeemed them to establish the kingdom of God. The people serve God and glorify God, and they call God their Father, and they delight in God. God says to these very people, “You are my people,” and He is very pleased to be their Father.
Abraham is a prime example. God called Abraham to be his chosen people. Abraham obeyed God and enjoyed God. He believed that God was the most loving Father. God was very pleased with Abraham, who had unchanging faith. “Do not be afraid, Abraham. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.” “I will establish my covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for generations to come, as an everlasting covenant, to be the God of you and your descendants” (Genesis 17:7)
The covenant people, the descendants of Abraham, became sojourners in Egypt and served as slaves for 430 years. God has not forgotten the children of the covenant. Seeing their suffering, he remembered the covenant he made with Abraham and took care of them (Exodus 2:24). The more they were abused in Egypt, the more they prospered. When they were in an unbearable suffering, God saved them through Moses with his great arm. He fell down on the wings of an eagle and led the rough road in the wilderness of Sinai.
But how do they know God? The gods they learned as slaves in Egypt for 430 years are idols, so how can they know God like Abraham? “If I go to the children of Israel and say, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ they will ask me, ‘What is his name? This question is Moses' candid confession of God. They are God's covenant people, God's children, but they do not know the Lord God!
At this time, God gave the law to Israel. The law was added to the broken people who had lost God. “What then is the law? added because of transgression.” We realize our sins through the law (Romans 3:20). The wrath of God came upon those who sinned. Those who broke the law were found to be under the curse of God (verse 10). It was a terrible thing to break the law.
But God is merciful, gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in mercy and truth (Exodus 34:6). If you realize that you are a sinner and confess humbly, you forgive. The law said, “If the whole congregation of Israel commits a wrongdoing in any one of the Lord’s decrees, and has a trespass, but does not realize that it has committed a sin, it shall offer a sin offering with a bullock... shall be sown before the LORD seven times... and the priest shall make an atonement for the congregation with it, and it shall be forgiven him.” (Leviticus 4:13) God did not call Israel as a people to kill them in the wilderness. Rather, it was to give life to serve God and to enjoy only God.
This is consistent with the purpose for which Jesus Christ was sent to us. However, the law was “provided by intercessors through angels, and the promised offspring shall remain until the coming” (verse 19). , but faintly showed Jesus Christ, and was a schoolteacher who led them to Jesus Christ to be justified by faith (verses 23-24). It is also by faith that we are justified, and it is also by faith that we are justified today. Is the law against God's promise? “Never can this be” (verse 21). “The Bible has imprisoned all things under sin, that the promises of God may be made available to those who believe through faith in Jesus Christ” (verse 22).
Dear brothers and sisters, it is now clear. “The law was a shadow of the good things to come, and not the true image” (Hebrews 10:1). As a new covenant has come, the old things are worn out and worn out and are destroyed (Hebrews 8:13). The blood of bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on the unclean to purify and sanctify the flesh” (Hebrews 9:13), but “Jesus Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come… but with his own blood he made eternal redemption.” (Hebrews 9:13) and entered the sanctuary once for all... how can the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” (Hebrews 9: 11-14)
We believe in our High Priest, Jesus Christ. Love it. I obey. No doubt until the end. depend on it. And I always enjoy him. Such we are the seed of Abraham and heirs according to the promise. (Verse 29) As long as we believe in Jesus, we are all one in Christ, regardless of whether he is male or female, slave or master, Jew or Greek. (Verse 28) “All of you are sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, and whoever was baptized into Christ has put on Christ” (verses 26-27).
Dear brothers and sisters, we have become children of God in Jesus Christ. passed from death to life. You have received the promised Holy Spirit. You gain protection with your power. We are sanctified by the blood of Jesus Christ, whom we believe in. was justified. Now God is our Father. We are God's beloved children. Jesus said: “My Father and your Father, and my God and your God” (John 20:17). God our God is our Father. Hallelujah!
Dear saints, love our Heavenly Father, who made the heavens and the earth. You must receive the love of Heavenly Father. “I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me” (Proverbs 8:17).
Dear brothers and sisters, always pay attention to God's Word, learn it, and obey it. Heavenly Father will set you above all the nations of the world, and all blessings will be upon us. “Blessed will be in the city, and blessed in the field; blessed will be the offspring of your body, and the produce of your land, and the young of your cattle and the young of your sheep; blessed will be your basket and your bowl of bread dough; Even if you receive it and go out, you will be blessed…” (Deuteronomy 28:1-14)
Dear brothers and sisters, pray without ceasing. The Lord hears and answers.
