The content of the text also tells us the importance of looking through the way that Peter looked at Jesus and walked on the water in the middle of a stormy sea.
The direction of your life can change depending on who you look at and what you look at.
Then, let's focus on the main text to see when the law of looking is applied.
First, it is applied in the most difficult situations.
Verses 24-25, “The boat had already left the land for repairs, and the wind was against it, and the waves were afflicted.
In the fourth watch of the night, Jesus came to the disciples walking on the sea.”
The disciples, leaving behind the miracle of five fish, as Jesus said, crossed in a boat and met a great storm.
While fighting for his life, he suddenly finds Jesus walking on the water.
Of course, at first I thought it was a ghost because it was so dark and scary.
If you look at the time at this time, it was the ‘fourth watch of the night’, that is, between 3 and 6 in the morning.
Jesus came in the darkest and most difficult situation for the disciples.

Second, it's time to leave your comfort zone.
Verse 29 says, “Come.” So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water to Jesus.
It was the ship that was able to protect the disciples from the critical situation of the text.
With the waves crashing and in the darkness where they couldn't see ahead, the boat would have been their only safe haven.
But Peter hears the voice of Jesus, “Come!” and jumps into the sea.
And he walks on the water face to face with Jesus.
The miracle of walking on water occurred when we boldly escaped from the safety zone called a ‘ship’.
In fact, there are many times when trust doesn't work when things are going well and comfortable.
We must keep in mind that miracles do not happen when we unconditionally escape from the foundation of our life, which leads us to safety and life, but when we look to Jesus.
Staying still on a boat is possible without faith, but jumping into the sea requires faith.
What is belief?
Faith is looking to God.
Verse 30, “And when he saw the wind, he was afraid and fell away, and he cried out, “Lord, save me.
When Peter looked to the Lord, he was walking on water, but when he saw the wind, he floundered in the water and cried out for help.
His situation changed depending on where he was looking and who he was facing.

Also, trust is trust.
The opposite of faith is doubt.
Verse 31, “Jesus immediately stretched out his hand and took hold of him, saying, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?”
Jesus said, “Why did you doubt?”
Doubt is a “double state of mind, a state of being split in two.
When the mind is split in two, the phenomenon is ‘worry’.
They say that they have entrusted everything to God, but in reality, many people are ‘worried and anxious’.

Organize your words.
The text is two miracles,
It shows the miracles of walking on the water and the wind stopping when Jesus got into the boat.
The 'Law of Looking' is the basis of this miracle.
When there are difficulties and hardships in our lives, when we are in the midst of peace, and in any situation, our eyes must be fixed on Jesus Christ.
And we must have the faith to completely surrender ourselves to the Lord without letting out sighs of anxiety and worry in the face of the heavy burdens of life.
It is said that worrying about tomorrow takes away the happiness of today.
In the name of the Lord, I pray in the name of the Lord that you will not be deprived of the joy and happiness of life that Jesus has given you, and that you will be all who look to the Lord and trust Him.
