When the sons of God became flesh in the first Adam of disobedience, “a lifelong bondage of bondage for the fear of death,” groaning, “O wretched man, who will deliver me from this body of death” (Romans 7:24). As it is written, “The sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they took wives whomever they liked,” said the LORD, “My spirit will not be with men forever, for they are made flesh, but their days are one hundred and twenty years. This is because they became flesh, that is, the body of death.” (Genesis 6:2-3).
Therefore, it is written about the flesh, “I know that nothing good dwells in me, even in my flesh; I have a desire, but I do not want to do good” (Romans 7:18). In sin you conceived me” (Psalm 51:5) and “As it is written, There is none righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, there is no one who seeks God. :10-12) Because it is a body of sin.
Therefore, to the body of sin, blood and flesh, “the law of commandments pertaining to the flesh”, that is, the “law” through Moses, was made “sin to be very sinful” and imprisoned under sin. However, “God has imprisoned all in disobedience, so that he may have mercy on all” (Romans 11:32).
Therefore, those whom God foreknew in Christ Jesus before the foundation of the world, those whom he predestined to be conformed to the image of the Son, called by the voice of the Son, and also justified by the “law of the Spirit of life” by Christ Jesus, a “new and living way” He opened the door through the veil and sent the Spirit of truth to accomplish this.
It is written, “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death” (Romans 8:2) “He did not follow the law of commandments pertaining to the flesh, but according to the infinite power of life...” (Hebrews 7:16), becoming “the firstfruits” of holiness. This is the “word of the cross,” the incorruptible seed.
Therefore, it is not by “the law of sin and death” that a person is justified, but only by “the law of the Spirit of life, which is in Christ Jesus,” that is, “the law of faith.” This is because the “law,” or “the law of sin and death,” only condemns and makes you think of sin, but does not take away sin.
But many, while in Christ Jesus, again take up slavery, the yoke of the flesh, to be justified in “the law of the flesh,” that is, the law. Have you forgotten this kindness, or have you blocked your mercy with your wrath? (Selah)” (Psalm 77:8-9). Therefore, he exhorts us, “Christ has set us free, so stand firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery” (Galatians 5:1).
But like a “calf unaccustomed to the yoke,” they are not accustomed to the light yoke of Christ, and again bear a heavy yoke, that is, the “law of the commandments pertaining to the flesh,” that is, the “law.” This is because they cannot completely get rid of the old custom of establishing their own righteousness. Therefore, the Bible says, “Put off the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new man, which after God was created in righteousness and holiness of truth” (Ephesians 4:22). -24) and recommends.
Also, as it is written, “You who are trying to be justified by the law have been cut off from Christ and have fallen from grace” (Galatians 5:4). But the children of God, who are sealed by the Holy Spirit in Christ Jesus, rise again and are strengthened, saying, “We are not of those who retreat back and fall into destruction, but who have faith to save souls” (Hebrews 10:39).
Also, as the prophesied words, “Why are you discouraged, my soul, and why are you troubled within me? Look to God, and I will rather praise my God, who helps my face” (Psalm 43:5). “Return to your peace, my soul, for the Lord is hospitable to you” (Psalm 116:7).
Therefore, while the children of God were young, they were like slaves, under guardians and stewards until the appointed time, saying, “I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want to do” (Romans 7:19), sitting on the banks of the rivers of Babylon. Cry. Until you turn the prisoners of Zion away...
Lord! The Lord sympathizes with our weakness! The words of this prophecy will surely come true for the children who are loved. “Put your hands on those at your right hand, the Son of Man, whom you have strengthened for your sake, and we will not withdraw from you. and we will call on your name” (Psalm 80:17-18) Amen.
Therefore, if anyone is not in the flesh but is in the spirit, the words of “the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death” will be fulfilled and you will also hear a voice from heaven. “You are my beloved son, in you I am well pleased.”
