Title: Lay Down Before God

Lay it down before God Exodus 2:21-25

The French couple, the Courtois couple, look good on the outside, but there is a saying that they burned their newborn baby to death. In Korea, it is said that two children born through a relationship can be killed and put in the refrigerator. It scratched my head.

Since God sees the heart, I hope that this time will also be a time for us to open our hearts and receive God's words from the heart.

Now, Moses is to spend the middle 40 years of his life as a shepherd tending sheep, which he has never seen before, in the barren and barren wilderness of Midian, leaving behind the life of the splendid court of Egypt.

And the name of the son I had from marriage was called Gersom, which means that I became a guest in another country. In other words, he was referring to himself as a stranger.

Life is a stranger. It disappears after a while. It is like the morning mist, and it is like the grass of the field and the flower of the grass. No matter how good medicine is or how good medicine is, if God calls us, we must leave this world and go to God.

However, while we are living in the world, there are many hardships, sufferings, tribulations and difficulties in our life path. Sometimes we fail and regret, sometimes we make mistakes and worry.

It is a life of a stranger, a life that we say we live with a tuk-tuk, but it is not the way we want it to be. Still, the devil tells Thunder to live with regrets in the world. We are told to hold onto the world and live.

training in the wilderness

God likes to send his workers into the wilderness to train his people and his children to be trained. The wilderness is a place unfamiliar to them.

Still, God sends his children into the wilderness to train them.

Abraham, the father of faith, was called to be the source of blessing and the root of blessing. He left the fertile agricultural land called Mesopodamia, Ur of the Chaldeans, and went out into the wilderness to wander.

He was called the source of blessing, but the land he had to go to was an ungodly wilderness.

The word "source of blessing" means a passageway of luck. He lives in a small tent, moves frequently, and has a child 25 years after receiving the promise. And I had to give this 100-year-old son to God.

Isaac also lived in tents in the wilderness, but there was no water. If there was a fight with a neighbor over a well, he had to give him a well and move to another place to dig a new well. It's usually not uncomfortable.

Jacob also lived abroad for 20 years at his maternal uncle's house.

However, the blessing Jacob possessed was to experience God and become God's possession, and it was accomplished through training in the harsh wilderness years, but Jacob suffered a broken leg in the Jabbok River and was limp for the rest of his life.

However, Esau stayed at his father's house and took the comforts of the world, married a foreign woman, and lived in compromise with the world. In the end, Esau was excluded from God's line of blessing, and his descendants became enemies of the Israelites from generation to generation.

Joseph was also sold as a slave to another country in Egypt, where he lived and buried his bones. Moses wandered with the Israelites in the wilderness for the last 40 years, and eventually died in the wilderness without being able to set foot in the promised land of Canaan.

David was also a man of faith after God's heart, and he had the ability to cast out demons, but he was driven out by his father-in-law King Saul and spent 7 years in the wilderness, collecting small men and making them his servants.

But why would God send His people into the wilderness like this?

The reason for this is that the place where we can meet God more deeply is not a place of peace, but a place of suffering and suffering.

After all, the wilderness is a place that brings us closer to God.

It is a place that makes you more dependent on God.

A place to discover the greatness of God

A place to talk with God

It is a quiet place to reflect and repent.

Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, John the Baptist, and David, who received harsh training in this wilderness, became deeply dependent on God.

In the end, they became friends and servants after God's own heart, and they received blessings.

Jesus also spent 40 days in the wilderness to fast and pray before starting his public ministry.

The Lord lived and passed away without even having a place to lay his head.

Today, our God is the God of the wilderness! as my God

He is waiting to meet us in the wilderness.

dear ones

Is your life like a wilderness?

Does the field of your life seem to stand on the path of a weary traveler?

Trust that the Lord is with you.

It is said that the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous.

Letting go is the way of the cross.

What to put down?

?? Not serving two masters = Having two hearts, making them one mind

is to put it down.

??It is not idleness doing nothing, it is active devotion letting go (Laodicea).

The lukewarm saints of the church - either hot or cold)

??Repent of the sins committed in my lusts, greed, dirty and ugly sins, words, thoughts, and actions

It is to turn to God and bow down.

?? Relying only on the Lord

A church was planted in the Berkh region of Mongolia, and a sister named Berler came into the church wet with sweat during the service. A few months ago, this sister said that she had an open ear that she could not hear through prayer. She lost her cow a few hours before the service and ran to find it, but when she realized that the service time was imminent, she left the cow and ran across the field to listen to the Word.

However, as soon as the service was over, a roar of cows was heard from outside.

The lost cow came to the place of worship, not the house. The girl who chose the joy of worship rather than cattle had the joy of getting both worship and cattle.

The Lord has told us that we cannot serve two masters.

This means that it is impossible for us to serve two masters.

If we want to love both the world and God, the reality is that we are holding on to the world rather than God. Such people tend to hold onto the world rather than God when the decisive time comes.

Letting go is the way of the cross.

Just as there is no resurrection without the cross, there can be no real dependence on the Lord unless our pride, pride, and all our greed for sin have died.

Rely on the Lord alone!

Love only the Lord!

Just draw close to the Lord! Even if the way of the cross is in front of you, trust in the Lord.

What do we love the Lord for?

1) Recognizing God as God. (God first)

2) Believing and obeying God's Word. (Word first)

3) Living to please God. (complete devotion)

filling with God

Is it possible to fill our hearts and lives with God?

His words, thoughts, and actions depend on what fills our hearts.

What is Kim Jong-il's heart filled with? What is the real heart of conducting a nuclear test?

What is the President's heart filled with? What is the real path we should take?

What should we fill this country with, what should we fill our homes with, and what should we fill our church with?

What is your heart filled with right now?

is it money? Is it your pride? Is it honor or power? Pleasure and indulgence?

Do you want to enjoy your hobbies?

Or are you filled with God? Are you only filled with the Holy Spirit?

A person can only live if he fills his heart with whatever he wants. Without filling, you cannot live in the void. So people read books, find mountains, find wine and pleasure, and fill the world with them, but they can't. The world cannot fill the emptiness in our hearts.

Just as God created the world with light and accomplished the work of creation after the Spirit of God moved when the earth was chaotic and empty before the world was created, so are we. We too must be filled with God. We must fill it with the word of God's creation.

Only then can you live with satisfaction.

What were your thoughts as you returned to your hometown this Chuseok?

The hometown of our saints is heaven.

But we live as strangers in this world. It is not about living in this world for a thousand or ten thousand years. While we live in this world, we are filled with the grace of God, filled with the Holy Spirit, filled with the Word and the power of God, we live for the glory of the Father, and then we go to heaven.

So we are strangers.

put it down

Let go of greed and the world

Let go of sin

Let go of your pride and repent

Please hold on to the Lord and go to heaven.

To such a person, God makes a channel of blessing

I believe that you will receive the blessings that your father of faith received.

We all put our faith before God

I wish you a path to good fortune. Amen
