Title: Learning from Jesus

content agment>

Learning from Jesus (John 13:15, 34-35)

1. Accept others as Jesus loves you (John 13:34).

(1) Jesus promises that He will never cast us out (John 6:37).

- No matter what we are, God loves us (Psalm 27:10, Titus 3:7).

(2) Do to others as God has done to us. God forgives us unconditionally. We don't agree with everything we do, but we love and accept us unconditionally. God wants us to do this for others too (Romans 15:7).

-Love is concern (Romans 15:2 first half). Accept your doubts and fears and show interest.

Plan of Action: This week I will accept OOO, which makes it difficult for me to love.

2. I value others as Jesus valued me.

(1) How precious are we? (Luke 12:6-7)

First, the value depends on the Maker (1 Timothy 4:4; Ephesians 2:10).

Second, the value is determined by the price paid (1 Peter 1:19).

“How can a woman forget her suckling child, and will she not have compassion on the son born in her womb? Even if they forget, I will not forget you. 15-16)

(2) Honor everyone (1 Peter 2:17).

Plan for Action: This week, I will confirm my worth to OOO with low self-esteem.

3. As Jesus forgave me, I must forgive others.

(1) God blots out our transgressions (Isaiah 43:25). God planned this a long time ago (Ephesians 1:4).

-God says there is no condemnation for us (Romans 8:1). But although there is no condemnation, it is not free from condemnation without cost (Matthew 26:28).

(2) He tells us how we can forgive (as the Lord has forgiven you) (Colossians 3:13).

“Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven” (Luke 6:37).

“Should not you also have pity on your fellow man as I have compassion on you?” (Matthew 18:33)

Action plan: This week I will forgive OOO for hurting me or struggling with guilt or shame.

4. Just as Jesus believed in me, I need to trust the worth of others.

(1) God wants the love that we believe in (1 Corinthians 13:7).

(2) Jesus said, “As the Father sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world” (John 17:18).

-Jesus is convinced that we can do it if we have faith (Matthew 17:20). We believe we can (Mark 9:23). We can do greater things than Jesus did (John 14:12).

Jesus wants us to trust others as well (Romans 1:12).

- When we trust and help each other, we can get through difficult times together and become a family (Hebrews 10:24).

Plan of Action // Express your trust towards OOO with growth potential this week. "I trust you!"
