Yesterday, during the Friday Youth Prayer Meeting, we talked to each other and talked about how we got money. Someone got 500 won, some 5,000 won, and some got a few checks for 1 million won, but I was too young to know what they were, so I talked about playing with them. A few days ago, my son bought 3,000 won, and he liked it so much that when he came home, he couldn't stand it because his mouth was itchy. Maybe it's because I got it for free rather than the money I earned through hard work, so the money I get really gives me a bit of exhilaration, doesn't it? Actually, at that moment, "Oh, thank God..." It doesn't seem like it. In fact, it seems that I hardly remember the anguish of a lost person. The money you get is usually just accepted and passed on, even though you know it's some kind of unfair pleasure. We know that there are different kinds of pleasure. Even those who steal find pleasure in their own way, and those who engage in drugs, gambling, or aid relationships can't stand the wrong pleasure. But there is also the beautiful joy of helping others at the expense of self. The reason we worship before God like this today is because we have the joy of faith. But it may not be.
In this way, we must learn true joy. We must experience and realize the joy of the resurrection by meditating and remembering the words of the Lord.
There are certainly bad pleasures, false joys, dangerous pleasures that should never be experienced, joys that should be as moderate as possible. On the other hand, there is a joy that we need to enjoy more abundantly and learn more every day. This is the joy that we should rejoice in the Lord who has risen in our lives by remembering the Word and is still with us. A person who enjoys gambling all his life will leave only traces of gambling in his life, and a person who enjoys lying will only leave traces of lies in his life. will live May this life be prosperous for you and me.
