Title: Leave Everything to God

“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will come to pass.”
“Cast all your anxieties on the Lord, for he counsels you” (1 Peter 5:7).
“Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth” (Psalm 124:8).
This is an article from some art book. A farmer in a village made a request to God. "God, please change the weather for one year as we wish." God answered. "Yeah, that's good. I'll change the weather for you all year round." So the peasants demanded of God by their own experience.
“God, give me rain now.” “God, give me some sunshine now.” “God, give me some wind now.” It is autumn, and the fields are well harvested, and the harvest is coming. The farmers were excited to harvest and thresh. But what is this? When I put it in the thresher and threshed it, there were no grains. “No, God, why are there no grains?”
The farmers asked curiously. Then God answered. "I gave you everything you wanted. When you wanted rain, you gave me rain, when you wanted sunlight, you gave me sunshine, and when you wanted wind, you gave me wind. But when did you ask me for wheat? didn't either." It was then that the farmers realized that it was best to leave everything to God and ask for God's good will rather than to ask God from their own experience. How do we pray?
“Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will do it” (Psalm 37:5).
It happened in Dallas, USA. A child, who looked to be about six years old, appeared in the city driving a large tractor. If the child turns the steering wheel incorrectly, it was a dangerous situation that could almost hit a person or a car on the side of the road. At that moment, a police car ran with a siren blaring and all passing cars stopped. When I stopped the tractor and checked the English, it was actually not a young child driving the tract, but the child's father was driving the tractor with a small child on his shoulder, and it looked like a child was driving.
As we go through life, we may be mistaken as if we were each holding the steering wheel of our own life and driving. But God the Father is holding the handle of my life. When we admit it, our life can enjoy peace.
As the psalmist sings, "Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you, and will never allow the righteous to be moved" (Psalm 55:22), we must trust God and live a life of obedience to God's will.
* Prayer: God, our refuge, I confess that I cannot know what lies ahead. Therefore, faithfully carry out the task assigned to me today, so that I may entrust the outcome of all these under your guidance. Leave everything to God and obey Him completely. Grant me the faith to entrust everything. Don't let me be the master, and let me always live according to God's will. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
