Title: Leave Everything to the Lord
Contents
<Introductory words>
Many people think that their life is theirs. In some respects, you may be right to think so. But for those who have dedicated themselves to God, 'my life is not mine'. I overlook this point and the problem arises in my making all the plans and decisions.
There are many cases where I do what I want when I say that I am doing God's will. There are times when it is God's will and hides the glory of God. God is only a means to receive blessings, not an object of worship or my everything. And I wish you God's blessing. This is the ‘relief view of reliefism’. Those who truly believe in God establish God in their heart. Living according to God's will in everything is the right attitude of faith for the saints.
<Word and Sharing>
Through the text given to us today, God shows the right direction of life for you and me as we plan for 2010 and run.
First, he says that people make plans, but Jehovah makes decisions.
Here is God's Word to us. Let's read verse 1 aloud together.
16:1 The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of a word comes from the LORD.
Even if we think that we are doing well or that everything seems to be going well in the eyes of others, God sees in our hearts. I must not take everything away by saying that I acknowledge God's sovereignty only with words and that God is the master only with words. It is not acceptable to God to be arrogant in heart (verse 5) or to accumulate wealth unrighteously (verse 8).
It is written that even though the unrighteous person seems to be doing well right now, He made them into people who will suffer from disaster on the day of disaster. If you love God with a true heart, your sins are forgiven. If you fear the Lord, you will avoid disaster.
There is an old saying, 'Counseling is wealth and sacramentality is wealth (謀事在人 成事在天)'. A person can do anything. You can plan. But it has to be done by God.
That's why he said, 'The management of the heart belongs to people, but the answers of words come from God. Therefore, we are told to entrust our events to God. Only then will our management be accomplished.
Someone said something meaningful. “We plan to live as if we were to live a hundred years, and to live as if we lived for one day is a wise life.” And Proverbs 19:21 says this: "Many plans are in a man's heart, but the will of the LORD will stand firm." A person can make plans like this and that. But in the end, God's will will be done.
Why? Because God is in control of all things in this universe, even if the plan of an individual or any group is fulfilled, the plan of this universe that God rules is carried out without any setback.
No matter how wise a man may be, no matter how lucid and great a man's plan may be, how can he face God? God's wisdom and human wisdom cannot be compared. Therefore, all human beings must completely depend on God.
Second, he says that if you leave everything to Jehovah, then whatever you think will happen.
Here is God's Word to us. Let's read verse 3 aloud together.
16:3 Commit your deeds to the LORD, and your plans will come to pass.
When I cast my burdens on the Lord, God will sustain me and make me unshaken forever (Psalm 55:22). Plan every little thing for God's glory and seek Jehovah God's decision. Leave everything to God if God allows it. It is God who accomplishes each one.
God works together for good. There is no need for us to panic that God can do everything. What a solid background. Plan for the glory of God and trust Him to make it happen. And we just have to give thanks to God who works in peace.
Look at David defeating Goliath. From the human point of view, how can the young David be able to oppose the Philistine veteran Goliath? It was incomparable. So Goliath laughed and laughed the moment he saw David come out.
But young David left a great mark in the history of warfare.
"You come to me with sword and spear and javelin, but I go in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have insulted... I will let this crowd know that the LORD does not save with sword and spear. belong to you, and he will deliver you into our hands."
And didn't he kill Goliath with one of the slingshots that David had prepared? Who did this? Because God was with David. Throughout the history of Israel, when God is not with us, we have suffered miserably. Fights are made by people. But the victory is decided by God.
Finally, Jehovah says that he will take responsibility and guide us on the path we must walk.
Here is God's Word to us. Let's read verse 9 aloud together.
16:9 A man's heart plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps.
Whether small or big, church or social, personal or group work, God must be with you to make it happen. It seems that an individual runs any business, of course, thinking with the human head, designing by man, starting by man, and doing everything by man. But the truth is, God must bless you for the business to succeed.
Therefore, whatever you do, you must pray to God and receive the wisdom and courage that God gives you to do your work. That will make it a success. God must also help students study. Even those who do business can do well with God's help. God must also help doctors diagnose and treat diseases. The doctor even does the surgery. However, it is God who makes the patient gain weight, recover, and heal.
So is living at home. Of course, a man and a woman live together to form a family. live with people. But only when God is with them can they live happily. Children must also be given by God. That is why children are said to be a gift from God. Raising children also needs God's help.
Therefore, parents must pray for their children. Even public officials working in government offices can only be done right when they work with God. Soldiers defending the country can only be protected when God is with them. Even when politicians rule the country, God can only rule them right away. Everyone must realize their own shortcomings and work with God with a humble heart.
This is the story of the humble president Abraham Lincoln.
One day Lincoln was washing his shoes at the White House. The president's secretary, who was passing by at this time, was so embarrassed when he found out that the person washing his shoes was the president.
“Sir, what is this?” "What's going on?"
“Does the president of a country wash his shoes himself? Even the President of the United States... .”
“Look at this. Is it strange that he wears his own shoes? If you think polishing shoes is a lowly job, you are wrong. The president is just a child who is equally loved in the sight of God.”
Lincoln's secretary just stood there, unable to find an answer.
When a person in a high position is humble, the emotion he gives to people is doubled. Also, God greatly uses the humble. God's interest is in the humble heart I hope that you will always be humble in front of people and before God, and become the children of God who take responsibility for our steps and are guided.
<Outgoing Words>
Dear saints,
While praying to God, we should try to do God's will, not our own. There is an old saying, 'Suncheon people prosper, and vice versa.' When we learn God's law, understand God's will, and obey God's will, God will be with us and all things will prosper.
On the banks of the River Thames in England, an old beggar was begging, playing an old violin. However, he did not attract people's attention. Then a strange foreigner looked at him with pity and said:
“I have no money right now. But I can play the violin a little too, can't you just play a few songs instead?"
The old beggar handed me the violin. As he drew his bow, a wonderfully beautiful melody came out. Hearing the sound, many people gathered. Money quickly piled up on the beggar's hat. When the performance was over, people applauded. Then someone shouted. “That person is Paganini!” He came to London for training as a famous violinist and was walking for a while.
It's an old violin, but it sounds completely different depending on whose hand it is being played. Our lives are like musical instruments. Don't try to play my life with my own hands, but leave it in the hands of the Almighty. Then the melody of my life will be extremely beautiful.
Leave everything to the Lord. That way is the way to stand right before God.
