Title: Leave Me, Lord! / Luke 5:1-11
Leave me, Lord! / Luke 5:1-11
☞Text:1 When the crowds came and heard the word of God, Jesus stood by the shore of Lake Gennesaret 2 and saw two boats on the shore of the lake, and the fishermen got out of the boat and washed their nets. Simon's boat, begging to be removed from the shore, and sat down and taught the crowds in the boat.
4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, "Go out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch. 5 Simon answered and said, "Teacher, we have labored all night and caught nothing. At your word I will let down the nets." 6 So when he did, the fish 7 So they beckoned to the companions in the other boat to come and help them. When they came, they filled the boats twice, and they were submerged. 8 When Simon Peter saw this, he fell down at Jesus' knees and said, "Lord, Leave me, for I am a sinner.” 9 For he and all those with him were astonished at the catch, 10 because James and John, the sons of Zebedee, and Simon’s associates, were also astonished. Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid. You will take men.” 11 So they set their boats to shore, left everything behind, and followed Jesus.

When unbelievers start something, you can see them having a hard time. You can see a pig's head put on it, money put in its mouth, alcohol is poured in front of it, and a bow is made.
We wish you prosperity in your business. In other words, it is the act of begging a lot of money to come in. Raising the pig's head means that it has something to do with pigs and money. It is often said that people who win the lottery dreamed of a pig, and dreaming of a pig has the expectation that money will come.
To people, money is seen as absolute, and most people are just trying to make money. Christians are no exception to this phenomenon. I pray a lot for possession of wealth. So Christians have an advantage over unbelievers to have wealth. It is true that it is very advantageous because we pray to God, who is the source of all things, and make efforts.
If the person who bows down in front of the pig's head gathers wealth, how can those who pray and work hard to God, who is the source of all happiness, compare with those who bow down in front of the pig's head?
Do you, saints, have such pride? I believe that you who become children of God will become much richer.
See the text.
Peter is a fisherman in the Sea of Galilee. He was a veteran fisherman. But there were times when he also went fishing and hit a waste. Being a veteran doesn't always work out. Everything should fit. Unemployment is very high in Korea these days, and there are many very strong people among the unemployed. They are not unemployed because of lack of skills, and they are not unemployed because of experience. I have good skills and a lot of experience, but I don't have the conditions to do it. It is said that among the homeless there are former bosses of small businesses.
So was Peter. I've been catching fish all night that day, but I haven't caught a single fish. The Sea of Galilee is as wide as the sea and rich in fish. And the water is clear, so you can catch it only at night. At the right time, Peter casted his nets where there was a lot of fish, but he did not catch a single fish. As the day dawned, they had no choice but to pull up their nets and wash them. On this day, neither skill nor experience was of no use. This is something we can all experience.
At this time, the Lord came to him, rented a boat, preached the Word, and said to Peter, "Go out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch." According to Peter's common sense and experience of fishing, it is bright now, and no fish are caught in the deep. But Peter, whether he knew that he was not an ordinary person, was moved by the words, and immediately answered, "I have toiled all night and caught nothing, but at your word I will let down my nets. "Then they lowered their nets, and what's the matter? There was so much meat that the nets seemed to tear, and he beckoned for help to his friends on the other boat, filling both boats.
Please believe that obedience to the words of Jesus transcends human skills, experiences, and current circumstances. Because his word is power.
Peter became rich. The pockets became thick. Do you want to be rich? Do you want to own a lot of wealth? Be obedient to the Word. I trust that your bank account will overflow with money. There are too many to manage, so I believe I will share them with my neighbors.
Peter took the bottom line. Now, if you only believe and obey the words of Jesus, it is only a matter of time before you become the richest man in Galilee.
But Peter quickly got out of the boat, knelt before Jesus, and said, "Tell me again, I will lower my nets." Instead of saying, "Leave me, Lord, I am a sinner." no! If you leave, the money won't come in! The money line is broken! No, is Peter insane now? You need to be by your side so you can keep catching the fish until the net is torn, so hold on! you leave! Even if something is wrong, it seems to be wrong for a long time.
Why did Peter do that? Have you kicked your own fortune?
When Peter saw his power, he realized it. I realized that this man is not just the one who fills our wealth, but the ruler of all things, and he will come to realize that this man is not something a sinner like me can dare to deal with.
How would you compare Peter's feelings? It's like standing in front of a person who is wearing clear, glass-like clothes without a single dust, wearing clothes that are soaked in poop! It made me realize that he was someone I couldn't deal with, someone I couldn't get close to.
Did Jesus ever refuse you when he tried to approach you? Have you ever hated it? It was so easy to get to.
But have you ever thought that I am a sinner before him? Have you ever thought that a sinner like me dared to stand before the holy, sinless Jesus? So leave me, will I be too dirty to defile the pure Lord! Have you ever been afraid? Have you ever repented while crying because you did not dare to see the pure Lord?
Until now, without thinking about how dirty and ugly I am in front of Jesus, as if I had entrusted something to me, as if I had any special rights, or without understanding the subject, I said, "Aren't you going to make me catch a good fish again?" "Why don't you give me more money?" “Why do I have to live so hard?” And did you not complain and complain?
Isn't it like putting on your poop and coming to a restaurant and asking for food?
Who is Jesus? He is the Lord and Creator of heaven and earth. He is the one in charge of our life and death. Jesus is completely without sin, and we are dirty and ugly sinners. So, he is someone you can't deal with. But just because he comes to us and gives us love, is it possible that Jesus treats us like a servant who makes us prosperous, that we only regard him as a god of wealth and honor, and that we completely forget about my identity standing in front of him? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
If Peter had not realized this and only thought that Jesus was the filler of wealth, he would have ended his life as a Galilean fisherman.
When he knelt before Jesus as a sinner, Jesus gave him a wonderful mission. He said, "From now on you will take people." That is, "From now on, you will save people's lives." He became a man with the power to go beyond lifeless wealth and raise the dead.
he knew Knowing that the most important thing in life is not in accumulating wealth, but in saving people's lives, realizing that Jesus is using me to save lives, verse 11 says, "They set their ships to shore, and left everything and followed Jesus."
They have been reborn as people who go beyond wealth and save people's lives
Everyone! What is your life goal? If you can no longer jump over wealth, cling to wealth every day and live your life of faith, and believe and follow Jesus only as the One who fills my nets enough to tear them, and if you do not save even a single life, your religious life will die with a pig's head. How is it different from staying?
Overcome. Wealth is not our goal. Jesus is not the one who supplies us with our wealth. He is the Almighty, the Holy One, to which we cannot approach, the majestic, the glory and the majesty. Nevertheless, he is the one who gave his life to save us who are lowly. Although we are not able to raise our heads in front of him, he calls us, treats us like friends, and stays with us forever, but we must know our situation and know how to deal with him. Even if you give thanks a thousand times or ten thousand times and fall on your face again, it is not enough to go to Him. So shameless. Too rude. Even if he understands, don't forget about my identity. Like Peter, "Lord, I am a sinner. Leave me." I hope that you too will go beyond wealth and become life-savers. This is a true Christian
